Hey chops my diary access is set to friends only so you should be to see it now Smile

Chopstheduck · 27/04/2013 09:44

Ah i can see it now! I think maybe cos you didn't hit the complete entry button, it never showed up in the status feed. :)

I have a feeling this is going to be a tough weekend for me. DH gran is seriously ill in hospital, so going to be difficult to get exercise or eat healthily if we are back and forth.

poshdjc · 27/04/2013 19:01

Interested to hear how everyone fits their exercise in to a day with kids, work and school runs. Once I've showered in the morning, I find it hard to get the motivation to sweat and shower again!
Equally, does looking like a wobbly beetroot in public get easier?

cinnamongreyhound · 27/04/2013 19:21

I do mine weekend mornings and weekday evenings either straight after work and I put something casseroley in the oven or after tea when the kids have gone to bed poshdjc.

And you will get less wobbly, less beetroot like and less conscious as time goes on Grin

I'm finding it hard to fit in my mid week runs at the moment, new job not quite so flexible. Will try for an evening run on Monday. I prefer to run away from the main roads, still. Don't mind about parkrun, you can almost hide in the crowd :) Equalled my pb this morning, bit annoying, could have had a pb if I'd started a bit towards the front - over 300 runners today :)

Chopstheduck · 27/04/2013 20:21

I'm still beet root and wobbly but sod it i can run 11k - I don't care! I tend not to shower in the morning if I'm running, I drop kids, run then shower. Blush I also cook double portions a lot of the time so I don't have to cook every night.

Thanks cinnamon, will def check out those pants, had been eyeing them up but weren't sure if they would be any good. Didn't realise you had already rested it a whole neither. Do hope it gets better for you soon, it must be getting so frustrating now.

Movingforward123 · 28/04/2013 17:20

Cinnamon - to maintain I should be having 1690 cals per day, so it's 290 cals more then why I have been having.

I've done really badly recently, but I've decided to put my calories down to 1300 cals for now and see if I notice a difference, I'm alway going to start aqua aerobics and yoga to see if that helps!

Im feeling terrible today as I went through my summer clothes and although things still fit I look bigger then I would like to. And 10.7 is te biggest I've been since dd was a new born Hmm

I spoke to a personal trainer yesterday who said he could write me a programme of exercises to do at home which will be ok for me with my ankle! It will cost £40 for an hour, do you think it's worth it?

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2013 20:56

So at 290 less than maintance you would be expecting 1/2lb a week, is that what mfp is telling you? If you have a specific injury that stops you doing other things and you can do it at home when you may not otherwise be able to exercise then is say yes (if you've got it of course!).

How's everyone doing?
I'm having my worst day since starting-about 6 weeks. Have just had a proper biscuit binge and gone hideously over calories-my weekly total has always been great til now Hmm
I need some encouragement to get back on the wagon and try and do some damage limitation this week.
I'm blaming the fact that I feel very premenstul-despite being 10 days away from totm and having bloody toast for breakfast rather than porridge-I always have porridge in the week and never eat again til lunchtime.
Right must pull myself together!

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 29/04/2013 15:42

I've gone the other way. Had a truly shitty day and have managed one piece of toast and half a yoghurt (comfort starver here). Need to eat something or I won't be able to go to the gym tonight, and am on an 8 day streak I don't want to break.

But all I want to do is curl up in bed and sulk.

Can you cram in some exercise to offset at least some of the biscuits away ?

MelanieCheeks · 29/04/2013 15:45

Hi fellow MFPers!

Another new week, eh. I like to go for a run before breakfast, and then shower etc after that.

awaywego1 · 29/04/2013 16:15

Hotel-sadly not-cant exercise due to health-rubbish. Will make up for it this week I'm sure :)

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 29/04/2013 16:21

That's a bummer! I'll do your exercise for you if you'll share your biscuits though!

Think I might try to eat a proper summer if when DH gets home from work and then go spinning. It might shake me out of my mood (had a real run in with a lecturer today, to the point that shouting at me for using u to mean initial velocity instead of v wasn't enough. He emailed me to tell me my behaviour was unbecoming of an undergraduate). Hmph.

awaywego1 · 29/04/2013 17:25

Hotel-that sounds horrible Hmm do eat though-you'll feel worse if you don't-at least have a couple of slices of toast and maybe a few biscuits Wink

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 29/04/2013 18:02

I just sent an ever-so-polite but effectively rather rude response to his email. I feel marginally better. Ha.

Now to see if my stomach will accept food - if I'm stressed or upset eating makes me feel so sick.

awaywego1 · 29/04/2013 23:31

Good work hotel Grin hope you managed to eat something.

travellingwilbury · 30/04/2013 07:29

Morning all , room for a not so wee one ?

I need to lose two stone , have lost 10 pounds by doing mfp and joining a gym . I am also in the second week of couch 25k and against all probability I am enjoying it .

I am " neverthisfatagain" on mfp if anyone fancies finding me and giving me a prod .

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 30/04/2013 08:14

Yes, away I came home from a frankly rubbish spinning class and made a chickpea/couscous/chorizo thing that was quite comforting and didn't bust DH's diet. I think I ended up on 500ish net calories yesterday (not including my cycle commute). Not good. Today is another day though, and I expect I'll be ravenous after body pump given I've started today off starving!

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 30/04/2013 08:14

Balls, posted too soon. Will add you now, travelling - I've found it really helpful to have other people be able to judge see my diary. It keeps me on the straight and narrow.

travellingwilbury · 30/04/2013 08:31

Thanks hotel , I need all the judging I can get :)

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 30/04/2013 12:23

I'll happily judge.

I bravely got on the scales today after two weeks of dieting (with a hiccup this weekend) and am still 2lbs above the top of my comfortable range. I dropped the ball on this one. 9lbs to get to my happy-but-not-sustainable end of diet weight, then I can put three back on and fit all my wardrobe!

Movingforward123 · 01/05/2013 14:23

Hi all,

Hope it's all going well!

I went to a yoga class today was very air fairy but nice, does anyone else do yoga on here that could give me some tips? Grin

Mfp said that in a 90mins class I burnt 248 cals. Does that sound about right?

Anyway I'm trying to gently exercise more to see if that helps with weight loss!

MelanieCheeks · 01/05/2013 14:39

There's so many different types of yoga, those guides on MFP (and anywhere else really) are just estimates.

MrsBucketxx · 01/05/2013 15:03

I really wish you coukd include activities lije gardening etc to the exercise list. I have been doing loads.
