Just thought I would start a new thread, seeing as we are perilously close to the 1000 posts cut off!

We have all started WW this January and so far so good, we are all losing. This is a really supportive group. Please feel free to join us and share your WW tips and any recipes that you may have. Smile

Hope everything is ok, NoWay, I'm sure you'll get an amazing WI to make up for it!

Well done on the amazing loss, Backinaminute!

Last night I had a chicken teriyaki burrito with rice and it was soooo good. Will post the recipe in the recipe thread when I get more time later. I also had two Daim bars Blush I KNOW I shouldn't have had 2 but they're 4pp each and I still kept within my points for the day...ill have to work on not being such a greedy guts!

OhTheConfusion · 15/02/2013 12:58

NoWay, hope your ok.

Onthe... I just ate a mars bar Blush. I have pointed it and have not used my weeklies yet but will soon. It really makes me feel guilty (and I was ment to be giving up sweets for lent -double whoops).

I am starving today, I have had my breakfast, snack, lunch and a mars bar and I am already thinking 'what next'. It's only lunch time now!
I need to stop thinking of lunch as something that goes between two slices of bread... all ideas greatfully recieved! Today I had my favourite 6pp club sandwich, grapes and the mars bar!

jazzcat28 · 15/02/2013 17:01

Hope you're on the mend soon noway

I got the HD book and have just planned to make 3 recipes for next week - salmon with chili ginger sauce (7pp each), harissa chicken with bulgur wheat salad (7pp each) and coconut prawn curry (10pp plus rice). All sounds very yummy!

Top tip for my fellow curly wurly fans - according to my Sainsbo's online food shop which I've just completed a 5 pack of Curly Wurlies is currently only £1.00 making them even more amazing at 3pp each and 20p a go!

Am making the strogonoff with 2 mustards tonight from our recipe thread.

Thinking light thoughts for tomorrow.... :)

jazzcat28 · 15/02/2013 18:40

Omg just had to come back and compliment whoever it was that put the stroganoff recipe on the thread - just cooked it but with pork loin instead of chicken and served with basmati rice and green beans and it was divine.. Nom nom nom nom

NoWayNoHow · 15/02/2013 18:48

Hey all. Thanks for messages - your dinners all look lovely (am definitely going to try that stroganoff recipe one night!).

I've been admitted to hospital, so dinner for me was chicken soup, chilli con carne, green beans and carrots and undercooked rice (which I left!), followed by a little Muller strawberry yogurt. first meal since last night's pathetic attempt at eating beef stir fry, and I am FULL UP!

Hope you all have lovely weekends!

DebussyHead · 15/02/2013 19:25

Can anyone explain the logic behind why fruit and veg are 'free' but a glass of tomato juice is 1pp? Am I missing something?

mrsv2 · 15/02/2013 20:46

just planned the next weeks meals.....
fishfingers ( waitrose fresh)and mash
HB sweet and sour chicken
HB cassoulet ( high points so will use some of my weeklies)
thai salmon and noodles
GF hungarian goulash
gammon steak with fries and salad
roast chicken dinner on sunday

Livinginorganisedchaos · 15/02/2013 20:53

Weighed in today and have lost another pound! I know it was probably all fluid retention from my period but at least I have survived half term without gaining weight.

In fact, when I consider that in the last week I had my day in Northern Ireland attending a funeral, boozy night out with best mate, DD birthday lunch in tapas restaurant and romantic dinner with DH last night, I am simply impressed that I managed to stay on track at all. Some days were just too difficult to track but I stuck to my plan of choosing healthy options and trying not to worry about the diet and just enjoy myself.

The fact that I can have fun and still lose weight has really encouraged me to believe that if I stick with this, then I can get back to my pre pregnancy weight. I am going to be really good next week!

onthemetro · 15/02/2013 21:18

Debussy, I think it's because it'd be easy to drink a lot of (for example) orange juice, but harder to eat the same amount of calories/sugar/whatever if you were to actually eat oranges. You'd probably be satisfied with one or two oranges, whereas I don't know about you but I could drink glasses and glasses of orange juice Grin that's how I see it anyway, and I think that's how they explain it on Slimming World.

Well done on the loss Chaos! I love that WW fits into my life so easily Smile

Mrsv, your meals sound delicious! I had a fish finger sandwich earlier today Blush Ultimate comfort food!

GingerLemonTea · 15/02/2013 22:56

Well done on weightlosses!

Onthemetro, I had a fish finger sandwich for dinner. Yummy & low points.

The app is weird, I have more pps this week than last even though I weigh less. Not going to use all my weeklies to try & even it out.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/02/2013 10:04

Hi ladies
I'm having a lovely time on holiday and this is the first time I've checked in although I have been thinking about you all Grin

Sally you truly are 'Mamma WW' to us all. That's an amazing weight loss and you're such an inspiration to me Thanks Thanks

Cider I've been dabbling with 5:2 and the week I did it properly for two days then counted points for the remainder I lost 3lbs. So I think that could be the way forward for me.

I'm back Monday night and at that point I'll be drawing a Crunchie line and moving forward with my hybrid 5:2/WW.

Welcome to all newbies and congrats on all the losses. I'm off to hunt for Nessie this afternoon with DS.Grin

jazzcat28 · 16/02/2013 10:07

Oooh I see that Young's fish fingers are only 1pp each... I think I shall be including them on next week's food shop!

2.5lb off this morning which I'm very pleased about Grin bringing my total loss to 13.5lb in 6 weeks. I'm a little Hmm that I didn't get the extra half lb to have lost 1 stone but I am confident it'll come off next week.

My loss this week comes after yet another pizza night (using weeklies) and pancakes (again using weeklies), as well as a daily chocolate bar (using dailies) whilst on my course, so my top tip again is don't be scared to use your points! They must be there for a reason!

onthemetro · 16/02/2013 10:12

Well done on the loss jazzcat! Another 3lbs off for me Smile giving me my first silver 7 Smile

jazzcat28 · 16/02/2013 10:25

yay well done metro!!

Just stumbled across a yummy "pimped up porridge" recipe - usual 30g oats and milk/water but add a quarter of a chopped apple to the oats before putting in microwave. Once oats are cooked add a sprinkly of ground cinnamon and 1tsp of honey for 1pp. Voila! Pimped up porridge that tastes naughty and really isnt!

CelticPromise · 16/02/2013 10:34

Hi ladies. Hope you are all doing well. I'm out for the time being as I've found out I'm up the duff Smile Wishing you all luck, no doubt I'll be back on WW next January!

NoWayNoHow · 16/02/2013 10:53

Congratulations Celtic!!! Smile Smile Smile

Fantastic news!

onthemetro · 16/02/2013 12:02

Congrats Celtic! What great news Smile

My daily allowance has gone down by 1pp to 33! It all feels like I'm heading in the right direction, and it feels so good Smile

bigTillyMint · 16/02/2013 12:25

Congratulations Celtic!

Well done to all the losers - WI tomorrow, fingers crossed something lost (though I will be using all my weeklies tonight as we are out for dinner at friends) - you lot with your 2 1/2 and 3lbs a week are doing really wellSmile

SallyBear · 16/02/2013 12:32

Oh wow Celtic!! Fabulous news. So pleased for you!

Crunchie, thank you for the inspiring words. I felt all embarrassed. X

CelticPromise · 16/02/2013 12:34

Thanks y'all Smile I'm going to try not to pile on the weight but am permanently ravenous!

Best of luck ladies!

SallyBear · 16/02/2013 12:44

Celtic. The first trimester is always the hardest, as you are knackered. So of course you're going to eat. Just don't be drawn to the empty calories and you will be fine! Enjoy your pregnancy. Grin

SallyBear · 16/02/2013 12:45

I've just made a batch of BNS soup. Punked it up with (too much) Harissa paste, sweet potato and leeks. When its cooled and blended I think I'll add some reduced fat creme fraiche as its a bit spicy!

OP posts:
AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/02/2013 17:18

Sally I want to try to make some tomato and lentil soup when I'm back, how would I go about it do you think? Oh wise one Grin

OhTheConfusion · 16/02/2013 17:55

Crunchie, did you find Nessy?
Huge Congratulations Celtic... pregnancy was the ok part for me weight wise, it is maternity leave (cake and coffee) that tipped the scales Wink.
Jazzcat, I am just home from sainsburys armed with my bargain curly wurlies... thanks for the tip.

Well done everyone, fantastic loses and such positivity!

No takeaway's in this house tonight, but homemade chicken chowmein instead. Also having 6 friends over for Sunday lunch tomorrow and going to feed everyone a WW friendly meal... hoping they won't notice Blush. Planning to make roast chicken(s), boulangere potatoes but made with spray oil and no butter, baby potatoes, roasted (in spray oil) carrots and green veg. Then M&S count on us choc mouse with strawberries for pud. Does that sound ok? Not really telling many people I am on a diet as we have a rather weight competative family :-/

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/02/2013 18:25

Sounds delicious and not a bit diet-y. What time shall I be there? Grin

DS is on the phone to nanna and just said "we didn't see Nessie in the loch but there were loads in the shop." Grin Grin
