Sorry for the late start to this thread. I had an appointment at my gym for an induction this morning.

If you haven't already, put yourself on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Good luck for the week!

Rollergirl I once knocked a pot of cream out of the fridge like that in the middle of a dinner party! Think I may have lived quite close to you once. We were in Richmond for a while then moved to Weybridge.

Sympathies with all the kiddie related stuff. Mine are 25 and 22 so I have survived! Having said that I learned early on when I was beaten. I used to have trouble with DD arguing what to wear to nursery so one night, before bed, I suggested we picked a dress for the next day and hung it on her wardrobe door. Trouble was, she got up in the night, put the dress on and went back to bed then insisted on wearing it, looking like a rag the next day!

black Good luck at Zumba

Gless You and I will have to have a NW meetup for just the 2 of us!

catinboots · 08/02/2013 18:51

I've got the celeriac and feta bake thingy in the oven

Mmmmmmm

DangerousMouse · 08/02/2013 19:09

captainmummy I am originally from Leigh, now in Reigate, the Surrey side. It's a 5/10 in drive to the airport from here.

Collywibbles · 08/02/2013 19:32

Haven't been able to access spreadsheet this week and have really limited internet. Can someone please update me as a sts (again!)

Home next week so will catch up properly then.

littlermissstan · 08/02/2013 19:43

Good luck Black - Zumba for me tomorrow too but my 45 minute class doesn't really compare... DP has gone out so I am indulging my inner bridezilla and wearing my wedding shoes about the house (teamed attractively with sweatpants and a massive t-shirt) and getting on with some of our wedding crafty bits. Have just paused for salmon with creamy/buttery leeks, kale and cabbage. Have a wonderful weekend all, we're off for a 40th tomorrow where I have pre-ordered a low carb meal and will be attempting to stick to just a little bit of gin...

captainmummy · 08/02/2013 19:43

Hio Dangerousmouse! I love reigate for the shops. And the Thai restaurant and the Gurkha kitchen. My MIL lives there tho Shock

Maybe we shouldarrange a meet-up in somewhere like Guildford (great shops!) it's very accessible and has great shops!

bulletwithbutterflywings · 08/02/2013 19:46

I'm glad I'm not the only one Lavender Grin - and no, you don't need to weigh yourself more than once a week. :)
DP laughed when I showed him the accidental hollywood Blush
I knew he would lol!

NewStartSameStory · 08/02/2013 19:51

computer problems so just logging on to weigh. Sorry.

DangerousMouse · 08/02/2013 19:52

The Gurkha is our fav take out.. well, it was! The shops are great, a bit expensive for everyday though. Guildford sounds good, we'd need to find a good restaurant, I don't know any there.

DangerousMouse · 08/02/2013 19:53

P.S, I'm not your MIL!

BIWI · 08/02/2013 19:53

I'm loving the idea of a meet up! There must be somewhere in Guildford that's appropriate?

OP posts:
DangerousMouse · 08/02/2013 19:58

Theres a Prezzo, and a Giraffe, quite a few pubs. Yaay, let's arrange a meet up. Please please please can it be a weekend evening (it's the only time I get child free!)

Rollergirl1 · 08/02/2013 20:01

There's a Jamies Italian in Guildford? I can generally find a meat or fish dish there and just order a veg accompaniement?

DangerousMouse · 08/02/2013 20:24

I think there could be, that large new building?

Valdeeves · 08/02/2013 20:24

Really enjoyed reading these today - you guys really take the edge off any glum sort of day.
All the things you said about the kids - I've been there! For those with autistic kids I worked with many over the years so I have some sense of the challenges you might be facing?

BIWI - thanks for your lovely post - luckily we had a nice day planned of coffee with friends, music class (45 minutes without me) and a walk and then coffee shop treat and trains playing for DS.

I know I'm largely glum as due to deadlines my hubby has worked the day and night shift most of the week - finishing between four and six am. This has just meant zero support or company in the evenings. He cleaned the house while I was out though before he left, bless him. There's nothing he can do and I need to suck it up - I'm just tired.

Snacked a fair bit today on cheese and pepperami's - had some smoked salmon too. Going to do shred then make myself a couple of homemade cheese burgers without the bun.

Black - good luck for Zumba tomorrow - your costume sounds nice too!

Bullet - ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Oh you make me laugh - hope your hubby loves the new look. I have never had mine waxed ever - not sure I could let anyone look at it these days - after the birth of my second child it barely looked human.

Right, I think I am all set! Spare clothes for when I get too sweaty, deoderant, spare socks, wet wipes. Foodwise, I have made protein powder pancakes (thick ones like scotch pancakes) cooled spread with butter, a tub of salad, some ham & chicken, a bag of brazil nuts and cans of sugar free Red Bull Grin I am sure all the free food donated from Asda will be fruit & sweets, so going to stay away from it all.

Littlemiss, I am giggling at you teetering in your heels & sweatpants Grin

Thanks Huge thanks to all those who have just sponsored me!!

EwanHoozami · 08/02/2013 20:44

I used to be a SW gel. Kingston, Richmond, Suburbitron. Those were the days. Have fun if you meet up, I fear I am too far flung west these days for any useful meeting opportunity.

EwanHoozami · 08/02/2013 20:46

Good luck Black you utterly mad marvellously brave thing Grin

JustasmallGless · 08/02/2013 20:49

Oooh well done Black! We are all behind you for tomorrow.
Are you a wee bit nervous cos don't be.
All the positive vibes from the thread will keep you going

TheEarlyBird · 08/02/2013 22:37

Just checking in pre ski week. I had set myself a target for this week and I only actually bloody well reached it this morning! Yay, yay, yay. Left it right to the last minute but did it. Please can someone record my weight next Monday as 168 which gives me a BMI of below 25 - for the first time in my adult life :). Have packed my size 12s and will be wearing them all next week. See you in 10 days.............

SavoirFaire · 09/02/2013 00:03

Well, I am a Commons girl... And also have much much sympathy with those dealing with troublesome toddlers too.

Grin at Hollywood wax

This week is a total right off. Have just about got over horrid lurgy but have eaten some off WOE bits and pieces this evening and had some wine. Sorry. Still on holiday though. And have avoided cake on at least 4 occasions when i would never previously have avoided cake. No excuses next week and fully expecting a gain on Monday.

SavoirFaire · 09/02/2013 00:04

Well done EarlyBird!!!

BIWI · 09/02/2013 00:05

Brilliant, TheEarlyBird Thanks Have a fabulous holiday!

Lavenderbriggs thank you for your kind words and olives:)

On days I can't be bothered with housework I do rather much like Biwi suggested and it works brilliantly. I even manage a laugh as I slam the door behind me on the chaos. I do do the 15 mins ( or 5mins) mn tidy quite a bit as well.

If the dc are being wild or just driving me mad we leave the house and head for somewhere where they can run about. If I have to stay home I run the bath, fill it with toys and pop them in for a big splash.

Or I get the baby photos out and we look at them. It reminds me what tiny little loves they were and we all get on a lot better:)

Bullet- they are supposed to trim it for you or you can do it yourself with a beard trimmer:)

I used to be a surrey gal years ago- but am abroad now. My dm loved Guildford shopping trips!
