Sorry for the late start to this thread. I had an appointment at my gym for an induction this morning.

If you haven't already, put yourself on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Good luck for the week!

Hi everyone
Belated happy Birthday dosh, hope you had a good day. My DS is off school for a few weeks but spirits lifted with a choice of 3 puddings, of which I ate only a small piece of fondant fancy and non LC tiffin. Was bleurgh!!

Been v busy with cakery makery here and am absolutely staggered that I have been able to resist trimmings, icing... All the things previously enjoyed with abandon and a large coffee!.

Re: sleeplessness, I swear by a Clipper tea called sleepy time, 2 in an evening and I sleep right through, no trouble dropping off. Yes,I ran out so I am reading thread and worrying about lack of party bags for DS tomorrow...

And rose hip and hibiscus is lovely tea that tastes as good as it smells.

Good luck to day black with the Zumba, and v Envy at talk of meet ups, I lived in London for many years, moved round the south circ and ended upin se23 where I had DS1, miss friends and family there and Guildford, Reigate, brighton etc but too expensive to travel back often.

Have a good day everyone!

bulletwithbutterflywings · 09/02/2013 07:28

Just popping in to say good luck to Black - sending you bags of virtual energy!
Off wedding dress shopping again today and lunch out in Cambridge, its a hard life eh? Grin

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 07:31

Morning all

Good luck Black!

I'm another one who used to live in London, for eight years. Furthest west I got though was Paddington and another stint in Oval. Apart from that I was a north then south London girl.

Now I live up North.

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 07:38

Thanks to all those struggling with troublesome tots at mo. Don't apologise for chatting about those things on here!

I don't have kids, but still hoping I will do.

So all your discussions are really interesting and helpful, am trying to remember all your tips for future reference - which I hope one day to be able to use!

MrsHerculePoirot · 09/02/2013 07:40

Good luck black!

GuyMartinsSideburns · 09/02/2013 07:54

Good luck black!

Biwi - I need a good beating with your stick... last night I bailed and had a few teaspoons of rice... if its any consolation I feel like crap for it and will, knowing me, beat myself up about it for a while Sad Will I have knocked myself out of ketosis now? I was doing so well too.

I know Im an emotional eater and I cant believe I let myself down.

Have a good day everyone x

(pst - Im cornish but left home almost 11 years ago)

Ive read somewhere about lc'ing and also having a fast day. Any thoughts?

Tigglette · 09/02/2013 08:36

Arghhhh after doing so well, I had a carb feat Italian meal last night - had few options to do otherwise, friend took me to dinner at a lovely family run Italian restaurant that does basically pasta or risotto. The food was lovely at the time but have been all heavy and bloated since, and Saturday's my weigh in day and I've got a 3lb gain showing on the scales. Hey ho, lots and lots of water and firmly back on the wagon for me...

We've got fom coming for dinner tonight so I've planned lovely low carb options....

B. scrambled eggs and v good sausages
L. Prawn and avocado salad
D. Baked Camembert with crudités (celery and cucumber), slow roast silverside with celeriac gratin and green veggies and cranachan for pudding (raspberries and cream for me but they'll never know I'm not having the honey syrup and oats in mine). No wine for me, I can pleased hangover from last night - which in a way it is, just not an alcohol one!

I feel better just for getting today's meals planned and sorted.

Iamaslummymummy · 09/02/2013 09:17

Morning all, had this for breakfast slathered in butter ggiswheatfree.wordpress.com/2012/12/13/chocolate-cake-for-breakfast-low-carb-easy-variations-on-the-mim-muffin-in-a-minutemicrowave/. Absolutely delicious! Much better than any other mim I've had. Must be the Mayo Smile

JustasmallGless · 09/02/2013 09:44

Ooh slummy that looks nice. I need to get some almond flour in

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 09/02/2013 09:46

Ooh slummy that looks lovely, definitely going to try it!

Good luck today Black Thanks school quiz last night and way past midnight by the time I got back so have not yet had a chance to log on (am on phone usually as screen time with DCs difficult) and sponsor you, but will do today!

dosh hope you had a lovely birthday celebration!

Was relatively restrained last night - four small glasses of wine (everyone else was drinking like fish) and kept to the WOE for eating (was fish and chips so I brought veg with me and only had the fish with no batter).

And this morning the Whoosh Fairy has been again and I am another pound and a bit off and a quarter of a pound below my original target of nine and a half stone (three and a quarter pounds off this week)! Can't quite believe it. Am going to do the full Bootcamp and aim for nine stone now which I haven't been since before we got married ten years ago.

Now just need to try and be really good tonight (best friend's fortieth) and not ruin it all.

Ruprekt · 09/02/2013 10:31

Thanks for asking about Mr Ruprekt. He is still doing well. He had 2 slices of pizza last week (unbeknown to me!) and he did not enjoy it and was a bit sad that he did not enjoy it. However, he has realised that it is now a good thing so that when we go to Zizzi next week he can order something else.

Whoosh Fairy has not been here for a while and I have not managed to get down to 179lbs again which is annoying. More water and fat for me today.

DH had chilli with cauliflower last night which I did not fancy so I made myself cream cheese pancakes with double cream and blueberries and it was just like a big pudding!! Delicious.

Iamaslummymummy · 09/02/2013 10:46

If you have an Asian/ethnic supermarket they sell almond and coconut flour really cheaply. I was just thinking that tomorrow I'll have orange extract in it to make a chocolate orange flavoured cake.

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 10:46

Ruprekt - any tips on how to get the cream cheese pancakes just right?

Am going to a friend's house on Tues for Pancake Day and while everyone else makes 'real' pancakes, I'll be making these.

Don't want to cock these up and get pancake envy looking at the others!

Iamaslummymummy · 09/02/2013 10:47

Well done choos Grin

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 10:59

Yes, well done Choos for hitting target!

Ruprekt · 09/02/2013 11:18

I made big pancakes which did sort of flip over and look a bit dishevelled but with extra thick double cream and blueberries scattered - who cares?????

And cream cheese is only 49p at ALDI so well worth a trip as you could use a whole tub of it just on pancakes.

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 11:22

Oh, by 'cock up' I meant 'taste meh'.

I don't care how they look either. Just don't want them to taste disappointing, so that I then cave in and eat the floury sugary ones I'll be surrounded by!

Someone up thread said that when they made them they tasted just like omelettes Hmm.

WillieWaggledagger · 09/02/2013 11:28

Well done choos!

Novelty can you do a test run?

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 09/02/2013 11:32

Thanks all! Wasn't expecting to lose it so quickly and easily when I had so little to lose (well - for my target - am 5 foot two and used to be eight stone for years and years until I was 28 and met DH and stopped dancing and starts eating loads instead as he hats dancing so instead we went out to eat instead - put on over a stone the first year I met him! Was resigning myself to nine and a half being about right for me now, but since it has already come off, will stick with the WOE and see where it takes me).

Yes, the pancakes are a bit eggy but with cream and berries (I also had vanilla powder and cinnamon) still really lovely. Someone else up thread did with whey protein and almond flour I think - that might be better if you are not keen on it being too eggy.

Probably a good thing that Mr Ruprekt foundered as at least now he knows he doesn't want to and won't be tempted.

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 11:32

Willie - that's a good idea!

Could give them a go on Sunday. I've had so many slip ups the past few weeks, I really want to make sure I don't have another on Tues.

Just need to get some stevia first - hoping Holland & Barratt have some.

mumat39 · 09/02/2013 11:33

Theearlybird, have a lovely time on your skiing holiday. Hope you get lots of lovely snow!

Ewan, I'm still in that neck of the woods. There seem to be quite a few of us in SW London and further out.

I was looking on MDA and came across this article. It's my kind of exercise, I can do slow movement. Not so ood at sprinting though. I've never enjoyed running esp once the wobbly bits started to develop Wink

NoveltySlippers · 09/02/2013 11:34

Ooh, vanilla powder and cinnamon sounds like a good alternative to stevia, thanks Choos.

Firsttimepig · 09/02/2013 11:39

Had a really dreadful week. Was at a conference which only existed of sandwiches for lunch, then I ate a caramel square and a glass of wine no exercise , need i go on. Not a great week I have put on 2lb ! Really annoyed with myself. I was only 2lb away from losing a stone and now I am 4lb away ! I have been out on the bike this morning, cycled to tesco to get my soya milk. Back on the straight and narrow now. Going to be extra strict this week. I want to have lost this 3 stone by June ! Two spinning classes scheduled this week.

LavenderBriggs · 09/02/2013 11:55

I'm eating cheese on toast! Yeah. I made the flax bread (halved it, so I know I"ve had 20g of flaxseed. It's lovely! I'm going to faff around with it, maybe use some ground sunflower seeds or almonds. I gave up on bread ages ago as it made me ill, but I did miss an occasional grilled cheese snack-y thing.

I'm going to follow Fatzak around in case there are any more recipes.

Lovely DH just bought me a spice grinder, so the hard as nails golden linseeds in the cupboard were blitzed into dust. I'm checking out the cupboards - I ground some sunflower seeds - going to see what else I can do.

Well done to everyone who's been whooshed Thanks and huge support to those who are maintaining.

QuickLookBusy · 09/02/2013 12:09

Morning everyone.

Yummy that cake looks amazing. What are people's thoughts on artificial sweeteners? I've always avoided them but dont really know much about them. I would love to occasionally make something like that choc cake. Are sweeteners all as bad as each other or is there one people would recommend?

I seem to be having a good week so far, so will try to keep it up this weekend.

B-poached egg, spinach, bacon and some toasted flax seed bread.
L-Brie salad
D-pork belly with coleslaw and salad.
