Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

Morning chiefs

I don't count my non alcoholic drinks (only drink tea and squash) I figure if I plateau I will start counting them!

Im on around 1600 cals and don't panic if I get to 1800 as I have lots to lose and am still breast feeding. I use my exercise calories only if I am going way over!

My "D"H often brings big wheels of brie home from work at the restaurant and we have one in at the minute. My dinner the other day was just brie!

Off to see if mini karate has slapped cheek or whether I am a neurotic mother (disclaimer childminders assistant is pregnant Im not normally that pfb!!)

laurenamium · 23/01/2013 12:26

Grin at mating with dinky

My portion sizes have really reduced and I feel really full! This is a revelation! I've lost weight last year but I suffered and for some reason this is different. Maybe I've finally found my zone!

Herecomesbod · 23/01/2013 12:32

Am bring proper inspired by all your losses Chiefs. Bssh that is an impressive loss by anyone's standards.

According to my bastard scales I've only lost another pound, which feels crap cos I've exercised every single day and not gone over my calorie goal on MFP. What is that about? Still, a loss is a loss, so trying not to be too down about it.

Karatekimmi cheese isn't my downfall. It's cake. Lashings of cake. I made a chocolate mousse cake just to use some eggs up and froze it in portions. The sight of it in the freezer makes me die inside. Am saving a portion for a treat (probably next year at this rate!).

Off to exercise. Yay.

BupcakesAndCunting · 23/01/2013 12:59

Hiya chiefs!

How are we all doing on this snowy day?

Just done a quick catch-up since no-one was kaind enough to do me a precis, as I asked. Hmm Wink So proud of the losses

I was most disheartened last night. I went over my calories by 206. But then I looked at my totals and saw that still I was only on 1606. Told myself to STFU.

I have got to go to McDonalds after school as I promised my friend that her boys and my boy could have tea there one night this week I will sit piously with a coffee and I will nit even LOOK at the apple pies.

HeyHeySaturday · 23/01/2013 13:01

I met a friend for lunch and ordered eggs benedict WITHOUT THE HOLLANDAISE!

I deserve a bloody medal for that! Next week's loss better be good...

DoubleMum · 23/01/2013 13:09

You are all being mightily good. I'm sure you will be rewarded.
dinky please be offended but I don't much feel like mating atm. I have a headache.
My Tesco delivery just arrived (the driver heroically struggled through the snow) and I now officially have Muller Turkish delights. I had to restrain myself from ripping open the lid as soon as he gave me the bag, but as soon as my mushroom soup is eaten I'm a-having one.

Lulabellarama · 23/01/2013 13:17

Hello chiefy-friends!
Here's a massive surprise update. Still not a single pound off. If I had someone to complain to I would be demanding a refund of all the effort Ive put in. I havent been able to Shred the last few days, due to an ankle injury, but previously had done it every day. Ive gone over a few days, but overall I'm being really good and honest. It doesnt make sense.
I'm going to keep going, but blow me down, it's disheartening.
Well done to all you massive losers.

BupcakesAndCunting · 23/01/2013 13:17

What are Muller Turkish Delight please?

DoubleMum · 23/01/2013 13:21

Bups it's the new limited edition flavour. I think there are some with chocolate sprinkles too. Perhaps if we all buy entire fridgefuls they will make it a permanent addition...
Lula that's really tough. Is your food diary accurate? I would try including some of the foods SW used to consider 'speed foods' - will go have a look and see if I can find a list.

RandallPinkFloyd · 23/01/2013 13:22

Blimey, you people have will-powers of steel. Eggs benedict without the sauce, a cup of tea in McDonald's! Impressive stuff!

And don't be disheartened by small losses, a loss is a loss that's all that matters.

I'm in a massive chubby grump this week but as l have lost something I'll be happy. (That's a lie but it's how we should be thinking).

DoubleMum · 23/01/2013 13:22

Sorry Bups I missed out a sentence, no idea why. The Turkish delight mullers are 50-odd calories and the ones with choc sprinkles are 90-odd.

RandallPinkFloyd · 23/01/2013 13:24

That should be as LONG as I've lost something. Haven't weighed yet, I do it just before my tea.

DoubleMum · 23/01/2013 13:27

Lulabellarama · 23/01/2013 13:28

Doublemum Im fastidious about logging everything, even on the days I go over. And when I DO go over, Im still usually under my TDEE, so it shouldnt be stopping me losing. I dreamt last night that I was pregnant, and the first thing I said was 'so that's why I've not lost weight'. Grin
Im wondering whether to have a break in my contracpetive pill. I usually go a few months between periods, but maybe I need one? It's the only thing I can think of!

Lulabellarama · 23/01/2013 13:28

Thanks for the list!

BupcakesAndCunting · 23/01/2013 13:32

Thanks Randall, I am going to plonk some in my online basket now :)

Oh yes speed foods, I remember those! I used to wolf punnets of strawberries...

laurenamium · 23/01/2013 13:42

lulabell have you measured inches? Don't forget muscle weighs more than fat and if you have been doing shred it is possible you have been losing fat and gaining muscle!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 23/01/2013 14:35

Lula

I know exactly how you feel. Three years ago I weighed about 14 stone and after eight weeks of effort - going to the gym and controlling food intake - not a single pound was lost. It was soul destroying to be honest. I was so desperate that I went and wept at the doctor who was absolutely next to useless! In the end - because we were getting married in six months - I went to a post-natal personal trainer. If you want me to have a look at your diary and see whether you were making the same mistake I was I'm happy to - just let me know your NFP tag Dude. The advice she gave and beasting she gave me worked - I was 10'7 when I got married (though last four lbs were down to norovirus two days before) Grin

Last night I had a dream that my next door neighbour went to Thailand and got locked up in jail but she turned into a lizard to fight spiderman, unfortunately she didn't get back to feed the old lady across the road so she died. Do you think that the lack of cheese is causing this?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 23/01/2013 14:36

I thought boysenberries were made up by IKEA. Every day is truly a school day.

HeyHeySaturday · 23/01/2013 14:40

lulu what a pain in the arse! But you are doing yourself good even if the bastarding scales aren't showing it.

What are speed foods? Confused

Herecomesbod · 23/01/2013 14:48

Tea your dream about your neighbour made me wee a little bit (pelvic floor still not back to normal).

Last night DH did a massive trump in his sleep and I woke up and said "What did you say?" like we'd been having a conversation. Then went straight back to sleep.

At least since starting this, I've had really good quality sleep, even if am a bit, ahem, gassy.

DoubleMum · 23/01/2013 16:08

Tea we used to grown boysenberries in our back garden. (In Kent, not Sweden.)
Heyhey speed foods are ones which SW recommend to help speed up weight loss.
I think lack of cheese is probably responsible for most of the world's ills to be honest. Look at the problems Wallace and Gromit had when they didn't have enough cheese.
the turkish delight yoghurt was lovely, but I think it probably contained some kind of satanic ingredient because I immediately wanted another one and even two hours later they are calling my name from the fridge.

Lizzylou · 23/01/2013 16:42

Grin at the mad dreams

No idea about dreams but DH did nudge me in the back and tell me to stop mooing. Apparently I do this rather regularly.
Blush

Lula, I know how frsutrating it is, you are only 7/8lbs off where you want to be, is that right? It is harder the closer to goal you are so I am told.

keep on, keeping on chiefs!

Lizzylou · 23/01/2013 16:59

Sorry for grammar and typos Blush!

BsshBossh · 23/01/2013 18:25

Some good losses on MFP diaries YEY CHIEFS!

Does anyone else here not eat dinner until their partners come home so end up eating late? How do you tide yourself over until dinner? My DH routinely returns home late (though I know it's all relative) so we don't often eat until 9-ish. This situation is made worse because he loves cooking so often wants to cook a meal from scratch himself which is so tasty that it's totally worth me waiting.

The problem is that I find myself snacking in the evening after DD is in bed and DH comes homes. I don't always make good choices (have you looked back at my diaries and seen those sweets and biscuits and chocolates?! Once I ate 60 grapes = 200 cals!).

If you're in this situation what do you eat?
