Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

OP posts:

Well done on that fab loss Tiger. I have put the Flake in the sweet bag for the children, I seem to be able to ignore that at the moment. What's the point of shoving something through the door without any marketing to go with it though?

GeekLove · 22/01/2013 13:38

Hi Bssh and Tiger welcome to this thread. I'm iateallthebees on MFP.
With respect to sleeping better that will drop the weight too. I find days with crappy sleep = Snickers for me but days without no need. I do find I crave carbs and sugar more when I'm tired.

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 14:39

Oh my word, I've chugging away all alone on MFP for a year and suddenly I open up my diary and befriend you all and I'm hyper conscious of what I'm eating. This is a good thing because today I decided to put some effort into my lunch and made the quinoa, courgette and feta salad from the BBC website and it was amazing and really filling. I feel virtuous! Yey for friends Grin. I made enough for two lunches - only 375 cals and I added pine nuts for extra crunch. I'm eyeing up a tuna and butter bean salad on that site for Thursday and Friday lunches.

TeaMakesItAllPossible I really want some new (digital) scales but am to scared in case it records a weight increase. Even though I know it might just be because it's a different scale...

Well done on the 9lb loss TigerFeet.

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 22/01/2013 16:11

Well done to all the losers! And hi to Bssh & Tiger.

I've been rubbish all weekend and can't seem to get into it at all, I'm wondering if its a bit of pmt as I just feel yuck? I've kept logging although I've been over a few times, but I'm hoping if I stick at it then it'll all come together at some point? Sometimes it just seems like its too big a job though?
Anyway, I think if I could get dd to sleep in her own bed & I actually get some sleep then everything will be better. But I've been saying that for over 2 years - lol!
I'll go to the gym after work & work out my frustration there!
Happy Tuesday everyone x

Hello - I'm back, and I found you. Thanks for the link on the other thread! We went to North Carolina for a Taekwondo tournament DS was competing in over the long weekend, and my iphone died on Friday, so I could not post on MFP or on here, or anything!

Tried to stay healthy - but was very hard, as the food available at the tournament was CRAP! So no weight loss at all, but managed to stay on track. I am not going back and filling MFP, so I am just getting back into things today. I just need a new phone, so I can continue updating MFP - 'tis a company phone, so somebody is supposed to be on the case replacing it!

I sat down last night and did a meal plan and shopping list - which should help. So tonight is Chickpea Curry and basmati rice, with vegetable. Yummy!

Well done to all the losers - some fantastic work here! I am going back to read through how everybody is doing.

I have a final interview for a new job this afternoon, so keep your fingers crossed. I am still not sure I want it....I have some big questions for the boss today.

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 16:37

That feta and courgette salad sounds lovely Bssh, I've just added courgette to my delivery tomorrow. I have goats cheese in the fridge too, so I'm going to make a hot salad with sweet potatoes, courgettes and peppers as well, with some goats cheese melting on top.

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 16:39

Good luck with the interview Spamm, and well done for eating as sensibly as possible over the weekend.

sassytheFIRST · 22/01/2013 18:59

Had a crappy couple of days. Need to get back in the zone as I risk undoing it all. Grr.

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 19:10

Sassy, choose your hard!

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 19:51

TheTigerDidntComeToTea, sassy - keep at it. I've had loads of bad days since I started MFP. Some days I went up to 3000 calories (even recently!) through greed or tiredness or emotions or time of month but I've still lost 30lbs. The key is the keep chugging on and hope that lean (low cal) days will eventually follow fat (hi cal) days so it all balances out.

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 19:53

30 lbs is great Bssh!

Pinot · 22/01/2013 19:56

alreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet chiefs

laurenamium · 22/01/2013 20:04

Another good day today poverty diet according to the bank the backlog of direct payments will be cleared by tonight so I will get paid. I will have the healthy food only mantra when I do the big shop though Grin

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 20:08

I've just done a big shop online and it appeared to be mostly vegetables and fat free yoghurt!

RandallPinkFloyd · 22/01/2013 20:27

Blimey Bssh 30lb Shock

Teach us oh wise one!

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 20:34

30lbs sounds a lot but I started at 15 stones so it always comes off quickly to begin with (for me at least). No idea how it works - I've kept my calories high (1800) throughout after putting in all my details in this site so I'm not hungry and my metabolism remains good. High calories (but below my TDEE) means slower weight loss but it also means I stick to the diet. I now exercise four times a week (45 mins cardio) but lost most of the 30lbs before I started exercising... It works for me so these are not really my "words of wisdom"...

RandallPinkFloyd · 22/01/2013 20:42

That's pretty much what I'm starting from too!

So how long did it take to lose the 30lb?

(Feel free to tell me to stop being so nosey)

nilbyname · 22/01/2013 20:46

I just did level one of the shred with DH. Jesus.
my thighs!!!! yeeeeouch!

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 20:49

Nilby I thought your DH was called Jesus then. I ordered the 10 minute toner DVD but ahem .

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 20:54

Randall, I started June 2012. Forgot to add in my post that I don't eat back my exercise cals as the 1800 incorporates it.

BupcakesAndCunting · 22/01/2013 21:17

Fuck my old boots Bsssh that's amazing Shock Well done! I accepted your request on MFP and I will be following you with interest!

That sounds creepier than it was supposed to.

Chiefs, do you log every cup of tea you have? I don't. I have about 4 cups a day and think that I probably burn off those meagre calories just going for a strenuous plop.

RandallPinkFloyd · 22/01/2013 21:27

So if I stalk follow what you do I can be de-chunked by the summer?
That's properly made me smile!

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 21:29

Thanks Bupcakes. I need lots of eyes on my diary to keep me on the straight and narrow cause if you scroll back through my diaries recently you'll see a fair few 3000 calorie days filled with cake and sweets. There's only so many days I can blame the snow Blush. I definitely need to be shamed into eating within my allotted calories. You lot are terrific (and this is the funniest group of threads I've read in yonks!).

BsshBossh · 22/01/2013 21:31

Bupcakes I only log tea and coffee if I've added milk to them. I count black or herbal tea as water.

DoubleMum · 22/01/2013 21:32

Bups I do log every cup of tea, cos I'm quite new to this at the moment and I drink a lot of tea. But I could just allocate 100 calories a day to the milk maybe and not log it.
