Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

I am off to body pump soon. Only class on. Will I die??? And what to log it as on mfp???
Tiger, stick with it. It will happen!!
Tea, I know what you mean about enjoying the Muscle burn in the shred. I used to love level 3 for that. You would love ripped in 30.

BsshBossh · 01/02/2013 22:57

Lizzy how was Pump. I'm intrigued by this class. Will YouTube it to see what it entails.

Lizzylou · 02/02/2013 07:12

Bssh, it was good. My arms and shoulders are like jelly but good workout. Right. Supermarket then park run.

BsshBossh · 02/02/2013 07:44

Morning all. It's the weekend - hurrah! Hope you all have a good one. I'm aching from all last week's exercise (every day) so am looking forward to giving it a break for two days.

If anyone is interested, The Fast Diet book on 5:2 fasting is 99p on Kindle today.

Tabbykat · 02/02/2013 08:02

Morning! bad day yesterday - was working almost all day on a piece that just wouldn't come right, so had nothing but coffee until the evening when DH came home with an Indian takeaway. All logged and just under, but v narrow squeak, and feel v bloated today. Really must learn some self control!

Family over for lunch tomorrow - prob making curry again, so will try to shred twice over the weekend and stay away from the unhealthier dishes. I'm such a self-sabotager - I do really well for a few days and then have a little slip, and then think I may as well really go for it as day ruined and end up having a massive one.

Ordered a fab dress off Ebay for a part in a couple of months - corset style gothic thing which will look nice once I get a bit more weight off - need my boobs to shrink a bit though as currently squished right up to my chin in it!

Hope everyone has a good weekend - will be trying harder to stay on track here!

spamm · 02/02/2013 13:52

OK - I have broken my shred virginity Blush and the seal on the DVD box. That was hard work, but no harder than working with my personal trainer. I stayed the course, although i did do the lighter version on a couple of things.

I literally got out of bed, went to basement and did it - before I could wimp out and come up with excuses.

So what do I log it as?

Have a great weekend everybody!

spamm · 02/02/2013 14:03

Tabby - that dress sounds amazing. You must share a pic when you are ready!

Lizzylou · 02/02/2013 15:01

Well done Spamm! Log it as circuit training.
All full of energy and not very hungry after my run. Parkruns are fab if you have one near you. All ages/shapes and sizes. Some serious runners but mostly just normal people. I did fairly well considering. Got overtaken by some pensioners and little kids, but I am not proud.

BsshBossh · 02/02/2013 18:49

Evening all. Well, don't go to a Mexican restaurant if you want to control calories. I think my lunch at Wahaca today was worth 1400 cals! But so so delicious. Have logged it all but still on target to stay under my weekly total. Thank goodness for those two 500 cal days.

WiseKneeHair · 02/02/2013 19:08

Evening Chiefs.
I escaped from work eventually. Had to go back again okay though.Sad
Well done on shredding spam I'm sure the shrodbot won't get you. Her style does remind me very much of my old personal trainer, too. She's a lot cheaper though.
Looking forward to seeing the dress Tabby
After a day of my trousers falling down yesterday, I foolishly tried some of my size 12 trousers on today. They fit, in as much as I could do them up, but what a muffin top! Shock think I might leave it a while before trying them on again.

WiseKneeHair · 02/02/2013 19:10

Bssh 1400 calories for one meal! I bet it didn't seem that extravagant either. I dread to think how many calories I used to eat without giving it a thought.
Glad you enjoyed it anyway.

BsshBossh · 02/02/2013 19:14

Today I learned that there are a bucketful of calories in quesadillas and churros with chocolate sauce - especially if you eat most of it Blush. DH, who is normal weight, says he can't believe we ate 1400 cals in one meal. But I've crossed referenced across different calorie counting sites and I think I've estimated well. You'll see when I log my day tonight. Not that I care - it was all delicious and not a regular thing.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 02/02/2013 20:07

Jillian has broken me.

I have set fire to my upper legs with lunges with bicep curls.

I wonder if I can call the fire brigade and have a team of firemen put them out.

dinkydoos · 03/02/2013 11:27

( enters in shame faced manner)
Another storming weekends performance for dinky.
Includes dinner and wine out, and dinner at friends. Highlights of my dieting commitment include belly pork, buttery mash, bacon sarnies, crusty French bread, home made rice pudding....
Oh and a vat of wine.
Back on it today, healthy chicken dinner ahead.
It was all sooooooo nice though! Grin

spamm · 03/02/2013 14:12

Ok - just shredded again. Tea - I am with you there!

Today it was vital I do something, as we are hosting a Super Bowl party and the food is not going to be that good for MFP. I am planning a bit platter of veg and also a chicken chili, which should be quite a good MFP meal. But the chips, dips and wings will not be. I am planning to avoid any alcohol, to at least cut out those empty calories.

Hope you are all doing well. Bssh - that Mexican food is a killer - always go with Fajitas or fish tacos - the Quesadillas or burritos will kill you! And always black beans - never refried beans. Mmmmmm - refried beans.

DoubleMum · 03/02/2013 14:20

Back after nice but verrrrrry cold weekend. I suspect I expended a lot of extra energy just trying to stay alive out there. Ate lots but didn't go mad and had no alcohol or puds. Back on it now with 700 cals left for the day which is perfectly doable. Walked lots but it was too much and v painful by the evening so am having a restful day today.

dinkydoos · 03/02/2013 15:01

Just shredded in bid to undo some damage.
bshh v jealous of wahaca trip, only been there once and really loved it. Def worth splurging calories for something that good!

BsshBossh · 03/02/2013 16:49

Evening all! As much as I've found calorie counting truly useful for losing all my weight, I've recently found that my appetite has diminished and yet because I have "spare" cals left according to MFP I think "oh I may as well ave x, y and z". In other words I'm eating not to hunger but to the max number of calories I have left in the app. I don't mean that I necessarily eat an extra 300 cals or whatever because I know I have that amount left per day (or near to it), I mean that it may make e think "oh I may as well have that 150 cal extra portion or pudding - it won't hurt" yet I'm not actually hungry for it.

Is it just me?

I'm seriously thinking stopping logging this week in MFP to see what happens to my daily eating habits and just eating to hunger (aside from my two fast days of course). Still using MFP to check I'm not going overboard on portions but not thinking about the app too much... I'm kind of hoping that 12 months of losing weight has made me instinctively know how much I can eat.

Mmmm, I'll ponder on this.

juneybean · 03/02/2013 17:32

I've found that Bssh, and then I'm in danger of going into starvation mode because I'm eating less than my TDEE as it is Confused

DoubleMum · 03/02/2013 17:43

Bssh I think it makes sense, but probably you can manage it better in your weight loss 'timeline' than I can at the moment.

DoubleMum · 03/02/2013 17:47

DS (11) is doing a topic on healthy eating this term and needs to do a project. I'd like him to research about the bad stuff like sugar addiction without getting an eating disorder! Does anyone have any sites they could recommend?

BsshBossh · 03/02/2013 17:58

Yes juneybean that's what I fear - going too low below my TDEE. Perhaps this is something to do when I'm at goal (which is 10-19lbs away depending on my mood!). I see how this week goes.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 03/02/2013 18:50

Bssh There are some days when I struggle to get beyond 800 calories - but as I'm doing Intermittent Fasting too I tend to force myself to eat on the days after a fast day to get the metabolism going - so the other day I forced a muffin down when I didn't want it and didn't enjoy it - because I'd done a fast day the day before and it seemed the quickest and easiest way to get calories in.

However, on other days if I don't want to eat that extra thing I won't. I think because there are some days I'll happily scoff for Britain, and win a medal, it doesn't really matter. Swings and Roundabouts and all that, it's a game of two halves I tend to look at a 7 day pattern.

I have invested in the book for 99p so thanks for the tip.

Double DS (11) did the healthy eating project last term. We used the BBC website and googled "balanced diet". We didn't pick up on a specific element of healthy eating though as he was mainly meal planning and trying to understand the balance of carbs, protein, fat and vits with 5 a day.

BsshBossh · 03/02/2013 19:01

Swings and Roundabouts and the weekly view - yes Tea that is the way to approach it. Thanks so much!

DoubleMum · 03/02/2013 19:04

Thanks Tea I'll get him to do the same.
