Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

WiseKneeHair I did a 5:2 fast yesterday - didn't eat until dinner at 8.30pm and aside from a few hunger moments it was fine. Will do another fast tomorrow to get my 2 days a week in then next week will do Mondays and Thursdays. It was nice being able to eat a proper dinner with DH at the end of the fast day and that's the reason I didn't spread my calories out during the day. Interestingly I've not been ravenous at all today and am eating normally. I thought I would pig out big time!

Lulabellarama · 31/01/2013 14:03

I ended up walking into town (more calories earnt) and buying a high protein snack. Waitrose smoked salmon with soy, wasabi and ginger dipping sauce. Only 96 cals but I feel a LOT better.

BsshBossh · 31/01/2013 14:13

Excellent Lula and the protein content should keep you fuller for longer.

DoubleMum · 31/01/2013 14:14

Mmm that sounds delicious Lula

WiseKneeHair · 31/01/2013 15:09

Lula that sounds really yummy. Much prefer it to my banana, which is a similar number of calories.
Bssh I'm glad you have had a good start to it. I'm really inteested in how sustainable it is, so I'll -stalk-- watch you avidly over the next few weeks. Grin
I'm hoping to have enough calories over tonight to have a glass of wine and a few chocolates. I'm working this weekend, so won't be having any alcohol then.

BsshBossh · 31/01/2013 17:13

I discovered a great lo-cal snack today at Waitrose - perfect for if you're feeling the urge for a salty snack: crispy seaweed thins by Itsu 24 cals. I'm chomping on them now and they're very moreish. Not filling but gives that umami taste I often crave (but choose crisps!).

DoubleMum · 31/01/2013 17:40

Mmm how much are they please?

spamm · 31/01/2013 17:50

I am still around - sorry for lack of posting.

I am very impressed (and a little jealous) with the weight losses - well done all! Some very impressive numbers - and some wonderful enthusiasm!.

I am seriously stagnant, so I may need to reassess things. I have lost 24 lbs in the last 18 months - in fits and starts, but always downwards, which is good in my case, as I am a yoyoer.

I know I am still losing bulk - my loose trousers look like a weird elephant skin, my tight trousers are starting to look loose and my dh keeps pinching my bum, which is always a sure sign that I am looking better. I go to the gym 3 times a week, working with my trainer at least once a week - and I work hard with him. But I have hovered around the 203-205 lbs range for the last month with no effect at all.

My Type 2 diabetes does not help - I know that when I forget to take my medication, I feel a lot more hungry and weight loss is harder. And I do not want to starve myself, because I know that will work BUT I will not last and will put it all back on. Anyway, off to eat my vegetable soup.

Keep it up Chiefs!

dinkydoos · 31/01/2013 18:28

A pound off for me today, slow and steady! I have still been indulging my penchant for a glass or two of red, and also been quite lax on Saturdays, so quite happy with that.
Well done all the chiefs, it's a marathon not a sprint!

BsshBossh · 31/01/2013 19:57

Doubemum, sorry can't remember. They were an impulse buy next to the till. Not terribly cheap I think... not like crisps.

WiseKneeHair · 31/01/2013 19:57

Well done dinky
Bssh that sounds nice. I unfortunately have no idea where Waitrose is where we live! We've only lived here almost 3 years Blush Do you think I'll get kicked off MN for admitting that?
Hi Spamm keep at it, slow but sure.
Once I have shredded tonight, I will have enough calories for wine and 3 chocolates. Grin Good incentive to go and exercise.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 31/01/2013 20:03

2lb off for me yesterday - was pleased with that!

Unfortunately I think Jillian and I are not going to become best buddies Sad After I shrod on Tuesday my knees felt stiff and yesterday and today I could hardly walk. I'm not completely unused to exercise and didn't find it too much of a killer, but my knee feels grindy and dislocated. Before I give the stupid DVD to the chazzer, has anyone else had this and it got better with practise?

Think it might be back to Davina who is 8000 more irritating for me. I know Shred is notorious for exacerbating knee problems. Thought it'd be fine as I don't suffer from those... well I didn't THANKS JILLIAN YOU SCARY SHRODBOT Angry

Well done dinky and buzzy!

DoubleMum · 31/01/2013 20:15

Well done on the weightloss Buzzy and Dinky!!
I survived Dominos Pizza and am still under if MFP is to be believed (which I'm not sure it is). Even the PILs liked it, or said they did, and there's just enough left for the DC's tea tomorrow.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 31/01/2013 21:25

I have a knee problem and at the moment for the three days I've done it it's been ok. My new problem is my hips ... those lunges with bicep curls make it feel like my back leg is on fire! I'll keep an eye on it Wise and let you know.

WiseKneeHair · 31/01/2013 22:07

Tea you've just hexed me!
I hurt my leg (just below the knee) on day 8 of the shred, but it's now all better. Buzzy well done on the weight loss. If your knee is sore on level 1, then I would be cautious as it just gets harder on the knees.
Just done about day 4-5 of level 3 and for the first time, managed to do a bit of 10 minute solutions afterwards. So, although it didn't feel particularly easier, it must be getting better.
Now rewarding myself with wine and chocolate. Grin
Well done on surviving Domino's pizza Double. I refused to get any last weekend after I saw how many calories were in it.

BsshBossh · 01/02/2013 07:59

Weigh-in Friday for me and I've lost 1lb :)

47lbs gone, 18lbs to go.

Herecomesbod · 01/02/2013 10:51

I'm still here and following all your fab losses and shredding. Spamm well done on the new job, that's great news. Dinky, Buzzy and Bssh brilliant losses. You are all doing so well! Apologies to anyone I've missed.

Have lost 1lb again this week which is really encouraging, making total loss of half a stone in 4 weeks!

DH is also doing really well so we're spurring each other on. I've found though that for this to really work I need to be consistent with exercise and do something every day, rather than doing a couple of days' worth then jumping on the scales and crossing my fingers!

Confession time. I bought the shred DVD 3 years ago after DD was born. This week I took the wrapping off it. The next step is to actually put it into the DVD player, but I am scared having read all your scary Jillian shrodbot stories. Please reassure me it'll all be ok...

Have great (losing) weekends Chiefs.

DoubleMum · 01/02/2013 11:40

Well done Bssh and Bod!

laurenamium · 01/02/2013 13:14

Hello! Sorry I haven't been around this week but I've had what can only be described as the bubonic plague and the black deaths love child illness. I'm just about through it now with only the occasional baby seal impression! I've lost 0.8 pounds this week but I'm really pleased with that as I have spent most of it eating grease and dying on the sofa and my night out last Friday was lots of calories! Measuring day for me too because its the first of the month...in fact I'm going to go measure myself now and hopefully will have something to report!

Well done for everyone with losses!

DoubleMum · 01/02/2013 14:17

Hope you're feeling better lauren and well done on the loss.

WiseKneeHair · 01/02/2013 15:05

Well done Bssh Bod and lauren sounds like a pop band
Glad you are feeling better lauren
Bod shred is hell at first, but then you get addicted! Go for it, I don't think you'll regret it.
I've got a long day at work today and am struggling to resist chocolate. Have had one finger of a twirl, but the other finger is in my drawer whispering "eat me." MUST RESIST.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Lizzylou · 01/02/2013 15:13

Hi Chiefs

Well done Bsssh and Bod, you too Lauren, hope you are feeling better.

I have had an odd day today, colleague's birthday she is from overseas on a working visa and only young so we had a bit of a party. All logged thus far.

From now on I am going to think of THIS when I need to in order to spur me on. Crap site I know, but look at what we've lost!!!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 01/02/2013 16:53

Feck me I'm a witch! Cool. I want a pointy black hat.

Glad to see you back Lauren and well done on the loss. Can you balance a ball on your nose as well as bark? That would be an exceptional skill.

Lizzy eeeeew. It frightens me looking at that how unhealthy I used to be. I'm not thin now but jeez that is some picture.

Bod I love the shred - on day four and I've started incorporating the moves into my gym routine and working harderin case a SHRODBOT reports back. I'm enjoying the burning muscle pain in a completely sadistic way. I say unwrap and embrace it. It's hard but after you've done it you feel brill. I will be purchasing levels 2 &3 off iTunes this weekend.

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 01/02/2013 17:03

Hiya Chiefs!
Just wanted to check in and say hi! I've not been on much, I step on the scales every morning and they don't move - it's quite disheartening. I know I am eating much less than before and I'm doing so much more exercise but it's not showing at all... Anyway, I'll have a think over the weekend and come back on Monday with PlanB Smile Because it has to work.
Well done to everyone on here & mfp - you are keeping me going!
