Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

Thanks, I think I am gonna do it on my laptop and lock myself in the bedroom!

Have been getting the kids to do sit ups and plank with me in the morning. Little buggers already have six packs tho.....

Bless you and DH shredding together!

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 07:19

Morning, Chiefs! It's my weigh-in today and I have lost 1.4 lbs which I confess I'm slightly disappointed with given I have a whole person to lose, but it's certainly in the right direction.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 29/01/2013 09:56

Awwight Chiefs.

double 1.4 is a good health weekly weight loss and it is in the right direction.

I just had berries and yoghurt following a fast day yesterday. It was delicious. Hoping for a loss this week

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 10:01

Going to have to be very good this week since we're away all weekend and booked into the hotel for dinner one night. Don't think I can fast though.

RandallPinkFloyd · 29/01/2013 10:09

Well done double, slow and steady wins the race!

BsshBossh · 29/01/2013 10:30

Double 1.4lbs is excellent. I would definitely be happy with that. I've lost 32lbs in total since last June and many weeks I lost half a pound, sometimes none but it all adds up...

Lizzylou · 29/01/2013 10:36

Yay Double!

I am tempted by some Zaggora workout gear. Am I just believing the hype? Does anyone have any??

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 29/01/2013 11:14

Well done doublemum!

Thanks for all the kicks folks, they really helped! I went swimming Grin it's a bit of a killer because it' s a club session so runs at the cheapest time they can hire the pool out - 9-10 pm. So it means I have to drag myself out JUST as I am desperate to sit down after the kids' bedtime and I don't get back till 11pm. I'm always glad the next morning though, they push me much harder than I can push my own lazy chief arse Wink

Those eating berries and yogurt - try semi-thawed frozen summer fruits with some vanilla yogurt. OMG it is delicious. May have to add both to the shopping list after being reminded of it now!

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 11:29

Buzzy I can understand why you were reluctant for going out at that time, so extra well done for doing it!

I'm doing my online shopping now. I've got frozen berries down, and turkish delight yoghurts, and cottage cheese. Any other recommendations from people's food this week?

RandallPinkFloyd · 29/01/2013 11:34

Get sugar free jelly. 8 cals per portion.

Nice on its own or you can put the frozen berries in it and some yoghurt to make a decent sized desert.

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 11:56

Will do.

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 11:57

Just seen this on Aldi's Facebook page, like the look of the crumpet for lunch.

BsshBossh · 29/01/2013 12:23

Double, I've just had a Hartley's 10 calorie Mango & Passionfruit jelly pot - really yum and surprisingly filling (as a snack). I'm a pudding girl and always needs something sweet after dinner - usually it's ice cream but today in the supermarket I discovered 1-serving pots of Yoo Moo frozen yoghurts at around 135 cals a tub that would suit me fine. I'll try one tonight and if it's as delicious as I think it'll be then I'll add it to my online shop.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 29/01/2013 12:36

Can anyone with the Turkish delight yogurts tell me whether they have gelatine in them please? If they're Muller Lights then they prob will but I can hope!

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 12:39

Yes they do contain gelatine I'm afraid Buzzy.
Bssh I'll try those, thanks

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 29/01/2013 14:56

Thanks for checking double they sound LUSH too.

I took the shred out of its wrapper and I SHROD! I think it is a bit of a knee killer though. What sort of weights are you supposed to use? I only had some 2.5kg ones, I' m not going to start looking more like Geoff Capes am I?

Food going OK today, will be a bit over after hoofing down DD2' s rejected bag of oatcakes ("no likey, Mummy, mummyeatit") - shows how many times I've grabbed their leftovers Shock

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 16:00

I have to make a conscious effort to stop hoovering up the kids' leftovers Buzzy. Awful what habits we get into, isn't it.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 29/01/2013 16:34

2.5kg weights just perfect really - if you're comfortable with them. I use between 2-12kg depending on the muscle group and exercise ... so I'd use 12kg for squatting type activities involving my ass and quads but only 2kg for extentiony type things on my arms. And I don't look like Geoff Capes apart from the beard

I just shrod for the first time too. I used 2litre water bottles - which is 2 kilos. I think I'll be using the free stuff for those days when I just can't be arsed leaving the hill. Feck me Jillian and her shrod-bots are way scary.

I've got a bag of frozen summer fruits left over from Christmas - I never thought to use them. Thanks for the tip!

dinkydoos · 29/01/2013 17:11

Checking in here. Tick for me , have shrod too Grin
From my old ww days, Melba toast used to be a winner snack wise cos they come packed into 6's at around 70 calories or so. top with tiny bit light Philly or something.

Anyone know how many cals in salted popcorn at cinema?

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 17:26

A Cineworld small salted popcorn is a stonking 310 cals for 65g. Not quite sure why.

dinkydoos · 29/01/2013 17:34

Flipping heck! Won't be bothering with that then, thanks doublemum

BsshBossh · 29/01/2013 17:53

Sorry for not remembering if you've mentioned it before, but who on here are doing the 5:2 diet and how are you getting on with it? I'm thinking about trying it out - doing 500 cal days on two days where I'm quite busy anyway and then five days normal eating (but no more than my TDEE of 2273 cals a day). It means I won't feel so guilty about over-eating on Fridays and weekends.

RandallPinkFloyd · 29/01/2013 18:16

I don't have any weights so I improvise with tinned food.

The first two I pulled out where coconut milk and chick peas but I thought that might be uneven so I've gone for spaghetti hoops.

DoubleMum · 29/01/2013 18:54

LOL, I'm not sure Jillian would approve of spaghetti hoops ...
