Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

It's a chicken breast stuffed with haggis and wrapped in bacon (or in ths case Black Forest ham). It's the absolute business.

GeekLove · 27/01/2013 14:19

I'm going for a weigh in tonight! Managed a double Shred today! Level 3 RI30 is something else.

DoubleMum · 27/01/2013 15:26

Well done Shredders!
I survived the sleepover and today's party, managed not to have anything to eat there, and fell at the last hurdle when DH decided we should stop at Subway for lunch. It's much better there calorie-wise than it might be though, I suppose you fill it up with loads of salad. I had 800 calories-worth but not sure I'll want anything else to eat today so I'm happy with that.

BsshBossh · 27/01/2013 16:16

BsshBossh · 27/01/2013 16:25

This site confirms site is down (10 hrs so far):
www.isitdownrightnow.com/myfitnesspal.com.html

If you have a phone/tablet app then your entries are kept offline.

WiseKneeHair · 27/01/2013 16:42

Afternoon Chiefs.
Came on to see if MFP was down for anyone else. Not sure that I'm pleased that it is! Hope it gets back up again soon.
Had a difficult day yesterday, which I moaned about extensively on MFP, but back on track today.
Did level 3 shred for he first time today. It was a killer! She seems to have mixed the strength and cardio together, so with strength you do jumps and with cardio, you have weights. I wanted to have a tantrum and stamp my foot and say "it's not fair!" But I didn't have the energy.
Well done on the losses and exercises, loose clothes and new jobs. Aren't we doing well? Grin

WiseKneeHair · 27/01/2013 16:44

Oo, just managed to get back on MFP.

DoubleMum · 27/01/2013 17:23

I've been on and off MFP since 2ish without problems. How wierd!

BsshBossh · 27/01/2013 18:28

Yes, MFP back on for me too. Wish it was still down as I have over-indulged and gone over my target today. Going to try and keep it down to below my TDEE though so I shouldn't put on weight...

DoubleMum · 28/01/2013 07:43

Very quiet on here last night! Come on chiefs, let's get some more enthusiasm going!

nilbyname · 28/01/2013 08:10

Hello Cheifs!

randall yes it burns all the time, I am on day 5 and still level one, but as you burn and hurt think of all the calories you are burning, all the back hamsters you are losing, and how good you will look in just a few weeks.

I had a bad weekend food wise. I had cheese. I had profiterolls (just 3 over 2 days...but still) I had bread. I had potato dauphinoise. I have not even logged yesterday!

But today is a new day, sat here with my water and porridge, got some Dal on the stove for lunch and having beef stew for dinner. No carbs with it, just the stew with loads of veg.

spamm well done with your wreath lifting!

double 4 slices and full seems like not much, so good work

who got a new job?? Congratulations!

namechanger11111 · 28/01/2013 09:43

I also had a bad weekend nilby. It consisted of a Chinese (although I ordered less than I normally would and ate about 1/4 of what I usually have), pizza hut (3 big slices & a bowl of salad), half a kebab and lots of chocolate birthday cake. It was my Son's birthday Saturday so the pizza hut and cake was planned for then. The rest just sort of happened!

We went swimming as well so i'm hoping that will limit the damage somewhat. I feel really fat and bloated today.

I'm back on track now so am going to forget about the weekend and just carry on.

RandallPinkFloyd · 28/01/2013 10:06

Last night was day 4 for me, she told me I would be "noticing a difference", she lied. The rest is easier but the jumping hurts more!

Weekends are always hard aren't they but we have to think of it in terms of averages I think. If you're within your calories weekly then you're doing ok.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 28/01/2013 10:10

Sounds great nilby . namechanger I find the weekends SO hard. There always seems to be some random extra food that I haven't planned in, and often if we're rushing about trying to fit in a lot, we end up driving everywhere.

What I have found to be better over the past few weeks is that I've tried not to beat myself up about going over my calories by a few hundred at the weekends. Because when I do that, I end up going further (can be thousands Blush ) over because I think "oh, I've ruined it for today, let's write it off and start again tomorrow." If I can stop that I think I'll be a lot happier as we'll as (hopefully) slimmer!

DoubleMum · 28/01/2013 10:16

Namechanger definitely don't worry about the weekend, it's in the past now and you had fun! Back on it with a vengeance today.

WiseKneeHair · 28/01/2013 11:01

I think we all feel the same about weekends. I like the weekly summary which shows you the average. So, you can be over at the weekend but still be under for the week.
Someone at work commented on my weight loss today, so I am SmileSmileSmile. Great motivation to keep going.

DoubleMum · 28/01/2013 11:08

That's the best Wise. Can't wait till that starts happening.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 28/01/2013 12:37

Bet that felt fab wisekneehair!

BsshBossh · 28/01/2013 13:11

I'm always way over at weekends too but I figure if my weekly average chart has me at or under target then it's fine. If I know I'm about to over-shoot my daily target I try and make sure I don't go over my TDEE (which is 2273 cals to maintain current weight) so at least I hope don't gain. It also stops me some of the time from saying Fuck It! and binging to 3000+ cals.

noddyholder · 28/01/2013 13:14

Have lost another pound which isn't great but am not doing MFP. I am still not eating much after 6pm and eating what I like within reason the rest of the time and weekends. Have only had 2 or 3 glasses of wine since NYE and think that may have done it. Good luck all keep going !

MorrisZapp · 28/01/2013 13:22

Hello chiefs! Just wanted to say - I spent quite a bit of time at the weekend arduously trawling through youtube for workout clips etc, seems the Shred and something called 'Insanity' are the well known go to's for shaping up.

That's cool, but I have noticed that most of the moves in these workouts are basic, old school, high impact aerobics with some toning work added in. I get a full hour of this by doing Body Attack at the gym - and the motivation is done for me, as there's a huge mirror, very loud music, and a fit bird shouting at us to go harder and faster!

I totally get why people (especially mothers of small kids) want to work out at home - there are a million reasons why a gym is not possible or desirable. But if you have the option and you fancy it - do gym classes. I push myself so much further in a class than I would if I was at home.

Body Attack burns up to about 800 calories I think, and leaves me a broken woman every time.

Oh and the pound shop have got Ryvita multigrain, only 40 cals a slice and deeeelicious.

I've got a stone to lose for health, and ideally a further half a stone for vanity. This year is the year. Oh yes!

RandallPinkFloyd · 28/01/2013 13:37

I definitely agree that proper classes are better. A couple of my friends do pump and attack, I'd love to be able to join them. Nothing like puffing and panting all red-faced behind 20 toned Lycra clad fitties to make you work harder! The mirrors are a particularly gruesome slap in the face too.

And we'll done noddy, a pound off is a pound off!

noddyholder · 28/01/2013 13:40

Thanks randall! I am going to cut down teh carbs this week as they I go a bit carb crazy if I have them and can;t stop!
