Can't link to this from old thread but thought I'd start a new one as the old one was getting full and kept crashing my kindle.

OP posts:

Carried I think the jump from nothing to level 1 was far worse than the jump from level 2 to 3. I am getting up the nerve to go to level 3 but am scared shitless slightly nervous at the moment.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 15:33

I still haven't taken the shred out of its wrapper. I've had it for 6 months Blush

I'm scared of it, plus I'd have to actually dig the DVD player out from the back of the cupboard. Not worth it is? No, that's right, it isn't.

WiseKneeHair · 24/01/2013 15:34

Sorry, meant to say the jump from nothing to level 1 was far worse than the jump from level 1 to 2.

WiseKneeHair · 24/01/2013 15:36

Randall I had it for about 6 months before taking it out of the wrapper. It is worth it, honest. although don't blame me when you want to die half way through the first time you do it
If you can't find the DVD player, does it fit in your laptop or somewhere else?

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 15:44

Nope, I've only got a net book or my beautiful new ipad (not sure if I've mentioned that) so really it's just completely not compatible with my lifestyle.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 15:50

I jus watched the first bit on YouTube, what's with all the jumping?

WiseKneeHair · 24/01/2013 15:51

Randall, Randall, Randall You have really shot yourself in the foot there!
On your shiny new iPad, you can connect to YouTube and lo and behold, level 1 of the Shred is there for you perusal. Grin You'll then get so hooked that you will want to get the DVD player out to do level 2.

WiseKneeHair · 24/01/2013 15:51

Xpost! Grin

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 16:09

My legs hurt just looking at it.

Why is she so bloody nice, I want to hate her then I can legitimately not do it. But she makes me feel all encouraged. Bitch.

bleedingheart · 24/01/2013 16:33

Well done losers!

I have lost a total of 2.5kilos now, possibly more as I have the time of the month bloat going on.
I tried on a pair of size 10 jeans today and they did up easily. However much they were obviously vanity-sized I don't care as I don't think I've ever worn a size 10!
Sugar is still my issue. I have cut back on chocolate a lot in the past two days but I still go just over my goal for sugar on MFP. Under on nearly everythIng else though.
All I can think about now is Aero mousse...

CarriedAwayAnnie · 24/01/2013 16:41

You won't think she is so nice when your dying and she's telling you 'abs like this don't come for free'.

Or when your about to pass out in the middle of jumping jacks and she says she has 400 pound people that can do this. Jeez, thanks Jillian!

I aim the punches towards her. Makes me feel a bit better as my legs burn.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 17:03

She is terrifying and endearing in equal measure!

Well done bleeding at you at your goal weight now?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 24/01/2013 17:23

Oi Plankers Over Here

It is just sort of lying down but it's blelly hard work. And it is dead good for stomach muscles. Promise. Do it for 10 seconds, then go a second longer each day. Or summat.

LOL at shred lady being nice. I think I might have a go.

Well done bleeding

bleedingheart · 24/01/2013 18:00

Still got some way to go. I'm not a size 10, I'm a 12-14 really but getting cl

bleedingheart · 24/01/2013 18:03

Still got some way to go. I'm not a size 10, I'm a 12-14 really but getting closer to the '12' end. I'd love to be a 10 but I'm not sure it would suit me (wide hips and 32GG chest so could look out of proportion). I need to tone!

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 24/01/2013 18:08

Lizzylou don't feel bad for shouting at me. I needed it.

I have been good all day and have a healthy tea in the oven. I'm going to walk the dog then come back and eat it.

I've read through all the healthy snack suggestions so I'm going to make sure that when my Tesco order comes tomorrow it is full of low-caloried-loveliness.

I weighed this morning and I am half a lb heavier than I was last week so I need to sort myself out.

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/01/2013 18:35

Ah, size 12

pantryboy half a pound isn't so bad, you can fix that no problem.

Lizzylou · 24/01/2013 18:39

Well done tea on inch loss and bleeding on the weight loss.
Had a weird old day at work. Luckily at ds1's swim club or else I would be troughing big style.

Lizzylou · 24/01/2013 18:48

And yes, 1/2 lb is nowt, you will nail it next week jumped.
X-factor stylee

dinkydoos · 24/01/2013 18:56

I did it! After a year or more absence I finally went back to witch Jillian (shred witch for those of you fortunate enough not to know her )
And actually I didn't mind it.... I had sort of missed it. Anita still has weird scary eyes though....
All those of you thinking about it, ( oi, You Randall, Tea!) just do it. It's only 20 minutes and its broken down into 2 /3 minute bits so just not too bad.
It really made a difference last time I did it, was about only thing I had ever done that helped with back hamsters ( hmmm. Glamorous moi huh?)

BsshBossh · 24/01/2013 19:29

Wow Tea great inch loss. For those of you who measure - what do you do about your tummy: do you "let it it all out" when you measure or suck a bit in? I'm a bit afraid of measuring my hummungus gut Blush

nilbyname · 24/01/2013 19:30

I am on day 3 of level 1 shred, Randall you wuss, get on it!

I can't lie, it hurts like a mother hubbard day 1 but I am already thinking about moving to level 2, think I will do that on Monday. Me and DH are doing it together...who says romance is dead?

I feel fitter already. Jillian I heart you.

i had spinach dahl with 0% yoghurt raita and it was totally yummy and about 250cals! Howzat!?

Who lost all those inches on their body? That is fantastic!

BsshBossh · 24/01/2013 19:43

BTW, for the first time in a year I picked up a low fat yoghurt at M&S (Count on us, 60 cals) and bleugh it tastes of starchy dust! I'll go back to full fat - much yummier and filling.... unless you lovely lot have any low fat yoghurt recommendations?

I bought some Aero mousse today - the mint choc flavour with choc bits in. 137 cals, so more than normal Aero mousses but a yummy alternative to my usual ice cream or chocs after dinner (always need something sweet).

CarriedAwayAnnie · 24/01/2013 19:48

nilbyname I would love that recipe!

nilbyname · 24/01/2013 20:16

carried I used this recipe but I amended it

I used a tin of green lentils. I did the all spices in oil 1st then added in the lentils and some frozen spinach and cooked it for about 2 hours, low and slow.

Raita was-
Grated cucumber, squeeze out most of the water, stir into Total 0% greek yogurt and add in a crushed clove of garlic. Serve up Dal steaming hot and add a big blob of raita. You could add some mint into the raita but I did not have any.

Dh had his with rice to "fill him up" but I feel really full after mine with no rice. I was going to add chick peas to bulk it our but I don't think you need to.
