Sorry to be a bit late this morning - no doubt you're all chomping at the bit to declare all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Willie - Can you add my weightloss for last week please?

8 lb off! Grin

Valdeeves · 18/01/2013 16:15

I have bought some new clothes too - have been searching for ages for a pair of jeans that weren't too skinny - everywhere!
Sainsburys have got a new sculpted range which are pretty good and by far the best I've seen.
Just feeding the baby, DS has square eyes bless him - its been one of those days where the little one has dominated and he hasn't had much attention.
Just trying to guzzle down the water. L

BigStickBIWI · 18/01/2013 16:16

Nell - yes, pick the beans out. And make sure you get them all! The only other thing to ask you is what else is in the chilli? If you used onion and tomatoes, then beware as it could end up being quite carby.

Ruprekt! Bloody brilliant! What about Mr Ruprekt?

PennyHofstadter · 18/01/2013 16:20

Sorry Blush just feeling down today. I have to be measured next weekend for a bridesmaid dress and I would have liked to have lost a bit more than I have so far BUT I take on board that I should stop worrying. At least the dress can be taken in at a later date.

BIWI ok yesterday I had scrambled eggs with butter, mushroom and a sprinkling of grated cheese for breakfast, lunch was ham and a bit of mozzarella wrapped in lettuce leaves with salad and oily dressing, dinner was bacon, mushroom and fried egg (wasn't very hungry and had to force myself to eat something). I also drank 3 litres of water and had 1 cup of tea with a dash of milk. Today I've had the same breakfast and lunch was roasted broccoli cooked in olive oil and sirloin steak (including the fatty bit which I hate!) with some blue cheese melted onto the steak. Again I've had a cup of tea and am drinking my water. I can write out Monday - Wednesday if you like. For snacks I tend to have either a slice of ham, boiled egg or some cucumber/ celery.

Apologies for being a moaning whingebag.

Ruprekt · 18/01/2013 16:22

I lost 8lb in week one.

MrRuprekt lost 6.5lb in week one but has since lost another 3lb I think!

He is completely chuffed to bits!!!!

Thanks for the support. It means a lot.

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 18/01/2013 16:32

That is brilliant Ruprekt & MrRuprekt - well done.

thenightsky · 18/01/2013 16:46

So DH did the food shopping as he was at home and I was at work. I left him list, one item was 'Full Fat Total Greek Yoghurt' I even underlined the 'Full Fat' for emphasis. Come home to find Total 0% in the fridge. He thought it would be 'even better coz its no fat'.

[sad

Hello all, checking in early as I am out later for my birthday! Day so far:

B: we had run out of eggs!! So two rashers of bacon and some goats cheese.
L: chicken and Brie salad, with Olive oil
S: a boiled egg after going to the shops!
D: some ham and chicken, half an avocado, broccoli and may. II am eating super early with the kids. Was supposed to be out for dinner but for various boring snow/babysitter related reasons I am still going it but later on and won't be eating out. At least means no carb temptation!

Tonight is cheat night on the wine though. Will try to be very good!

WillieWaggledagger · 18/01/2013 16:56

ruprekt it's already on there!

penny the thing also with this WOE is you lose the carb bloat, so it's likely your measurements will be smaller (and you'll look thinner) at the same weight than if you were eating more carbs

e.g. i only lost 3lb in the first week of this bootcamp (i say 'only' but that is good for a weekly loss, especially as I have been eating low carb for nearly a year) but as it was after eating carbs for a week over christmas and new year i looked like i'd lost much more as my stomach went down considerably

NoveltySlippers · 18/01/2013 16:56

Happy Birthday Savoir! Enjoy your night Smile

WillieWaggledagger · 18/01/2013 16:58

happy birthday SF!!

aw no thenightsky - how annoying! it is SO SO difficult to get out of the low fat mindset. I was still buying low fat mayo for a while after starting this WOE as i just COULDN'T bring myself to buy full fat! I eventually did and haven't looked back

Ruprekt · 18/01/2013 17:14

Sorry Willie. My eyes got boggled with your spreadsheet of loveliness!

DH says it is a super spreadsheet.

MsRinky · 18/01/2013 17:38

Happy birthday Savoir!

Oh god, our meal last night was just awesomely good. I really struggled to decide what to have, but MrRinky, god love him, ordered my second choice for each course and let me swop half. So had salmagundi/meat fruit on toast then pigeon with ale and artichokes/halibut with cockle ketchup triple cooked chips, tipsy cake with roasted pineapple and quaking pudding with pear lime and caramel coffee earlgrey ganache and caraway biscuit fizzy water wine.

We had a really lovely evening. Service was friendly, had a fabulous view straight on to the kitchen and great for people watching. The couples either side of us had ice cream made at the table with dry ice, which was fun to watch.

Tonight it's back to turnip dauphinoise and sausages.

Valdeeves · 18/01/2013 17:51

Happy birthday Savoir, have a good one!

Ms Rinky, my mouth is watering - I felt like I ate it with you. Lol at your last sentence.
Can we have coconut milk/ cream?

NellVarnish · 18/01/2013 17:58

Happy Birthday SavoirFaire!

Thanks BIWI and jaca, I ended up having scrambled egg with cheese as everyone was starving and ate it all! Will make one just for me I think and freeze it in portions, then when I do a big one in the slow cooker for the family, I can just pull out one of mine.

My bog standard one had mince, small onion, chilli mix, peppers, kidney beans x 2, tin tomatoes, stock cube and passata so it's probably a good job I didn't have any.

I'm really crabbit today - don't know what's up with me as my moods have improved since I started this WOE but today. Grrrr.

Well I suppose the traipsing in and out of teenagers discarding snowy clothes/wellies/scarves etc., throughout the kitchen and house while I was trying to cook didn't help.

BlackAffronted · 18/01/2013 18:10

Wow MrsRinky, that sounds amazing! It is one of my dreams to eat at a Heston place!

I have a planned cheat coming up towards the end of Feb, its my birthday & DH has booked us a weekend away with 3 course meals & wine included. I will try & be good, but I know I will indulge a little while im there.

Wasnt hungry til 11am, then had bacon, eggs & mushrooms.
Lunch was Biwis amazing crackiling plus left over pork
Dinner tonight is going to be a chicken kebab & salad, minus the pitta :)

BlackAffronted · 18/01/2013 18:11

Im in NE Scotland, and the snow is finally starting to settle!

helpingout · 18/01/2013 18:16

Happy birthday Savoir!

B - none, wasn't hungry.
L - Left over gammon joint with creamed cabbage and leeks.
D - Going to fry some pork and make a sauce with mustard and cream served with celeriac chips. I'm a little apprehensive about the chips so fingers crossed!

I weighed myself this morning to see how I was doing heading into the weekend. Lost 3lb since Monday!

Hoping to lose a stone (or two) by Easter.

Doshusallie · 18/01/2013 18:32

Hello all. Lots of snow here. A game of family monopoly, a family walk and snowball fight around our village, and chitty chatty bang bang with popcorn and hot chocolate with marshmallows (not me obv) later, what the fuck are we going to do tomorrow? Confused.

My dad is sulking as we didn't go over to his to go sledging - despite having a 4x4, I really didn't want to drive even the short distance down hilly slippery snowy country roads in a blizzard with the boys in the back......cue scathing comments from him that we should sell our trucks and buy sports cars, and don't worry he'll ask the neighbours instead, and we should stay at home safe and warm, all said with thinly veiled sarcasm. Why am I surrounded by such difficult men? Mrs rinky your dh sounds gorgeous, my dh would never do that. Envy

Greek yoghurt
2 boiled eggs, 3 baby gem lettuce leaf corned beef "sandwiches"
8 brazils
Pkt of hog bites

Not sure what's for tea

BigStickBIWI · 18/01/2013 18:38

Why didn't he come to you then?!

OP posts:
NellVarnish · 18/01/2013 19:07

Oh God I've just had a big bowl of full fat yog with a big spoonful of peanut butter stirred in. Am I doomed? Confused

Think I must be due on - feeling v murrrderrous. Wineand chocklit would be nice .

NellVarnish · 18/01/2013 19:08

And not so DH has just gobbled up a bag of marshmallows in front of me.

Grrrr. Bastard.
