You're enjoying barking at us a bit too much, I feel :o

Useful portion control link.

RavenVonChaos · 15/01/2013 07:30

I'm up Maureen. It's feckin freezing in my bedroom.

I weighed my woolly jumper and it was 478 grams.

Got a meeting today and there will be biscuits so I am wondering what I can take instead to dunk in my tea?

Also does anyone chew sugar free gum? Does it help with weight loss?

namechanger11111 · 15/01/2013 07:34

My first weigh in today too and i lost 3lbs.

Sorry you've put on double, it's horrible when that happens when you've been good.

I'm a teeny bit annoyed my sister who twice has gone over her calories by 800+ has lost 2lbs more than me when I've been positively saintly!

karatekimmi · 15/01/2013 07:47

I'm up!

I've been good so far this week but am off for sushi today, which shouldn't be too bad as all the calories are on the menu so I can make informed choices!!

However Krispy Kreme doughnuts are right next door!! I will say no!! Probably! But I like watching them all go under the icing fountain!! I fear if I get that close ill get pulled into the vortex that is maple icing!! Might need to borrow will power at around 1 o clock if anyone has some spare!!

laurenamium · 15/01/2013 08:01

Morning! Today is the challenge for me today. I'm child free for a few hours and that's when I start wanting snacks! JUST SAY NO

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 15/01/2013 08:30

Morning.

Oh well done namechanger that's brilliant.

Lovely breakfast of full fat greek yoghurt and berries for me this morning but it is a bit cold for something like that. Tea makes all the difference.

I'm going to walk a lot today because there is no snow and I suspect at some point soon I'll be stuck on the top of this hill not able to go very far.

I've been weighing myself in the evening so with the words "fool" ringing in my ears I took a morning weight so I've got a marker for the right time of the day and don't think I've lost loads - I am 4lbs lighter but I suspect that's just the daily fluctuation as I was still the same weight against my evening weight as when I started last night.

And karate hope you manage to resist if you really want to

noddyholder · 15/01/2013 08:35

2fried eggs with chilli sauce or 3 slices bacon 2 halves tomato in oven and with t spoon mustard these are breakfasts I love that stop hunger! I put oil in pan then wipe it round with kitchen paper and fry with a lid on gives it a better taste

WiseKneeHair · 15/01/2013 09:01

Morning. I'm up and at work, working hard MNing whilst I drink coffee and have my breakfast

Well done namechanger.
Doublemum I've seen your food diaries and they look good. Just keep at it and you'll see the loss next week.

I've lost 2.5lbs today, so I'm very happy. that's 5 lbs since I started. I'd love to lose 2 lbs next week to get to my 1/2 stone, but I know from when I've done this befoe, that it will start to slow right down now.

noddy I want chilli fried eggs NOW

Karate you CAN resist or maureen will come and shout at you

GeekLove · 15/01/2013 09:21

Morning Chiefs!

Egg breakfasts are the win thats for sure. I have 3 boiled eggs with some grated mozzarella and a banana this morning.

Had a weigh in and have lost 2lb! hooray! However I am of to the all you can eat Chinese on Thursday to celebrate DHs return from America so all the more reason to take care with what I eat!

noddy your breakfast sounds delicious! With boiled eggs though you can put them in a pan and do other things - essential with 2 small boys and a tight time limit.

DottyDot · 15/01/2013 09:22

Yes I get through at least a packet of Wrigley's Extra every day Blush

We've got a friend's leaving lunch do at work today - going here and it's amazing but not exactly healthy eating....

Have brought my fruit and no fat yoghurt in, but fear I may slip slightly at the tea rooms...

ScarfHatSunglasses · 15/01/2013 09:22

Oi Maureen I was up at 6am desperately phoning DH before he boarded a plane fixing my bloody broken boiler.

I've got a friend round this am and then am seeing another this afternoon. I always eat biscuits at such things. I MUST be strong!

BupcakesAndCunting · 15/01/2013 09:29

Well done, namechanger!

Glad you're OK, Noddy Thanks

Huevos rancheros. YES.

I'm back from the school run and should be doing The Shred but I'm sat on the sofa with a cup of coffee.

Seem to have lost my mojo and the thought of Julian Michaels shouting at me isn't help it return.

If I don't do it soon though, I just won't do it.

For all those that haven't lost as much as you would have hoped, are you listing housework etc on MPF as exercise to give you extra calories? I have a sneaky suspicion that Maureen might be right and that's a lot of rubbish. If might be worth just sticking to the 14000 calories for the next week and see if you lose more.

Glad your ok Noddy!

namechanger11111 · 15/01/2013 10:10

Well done to all the losers.

It's my birthday, my boys bought me a box of chocolates and I've scoffed 4 already. I'm going out for lunch with my sister's and am planning cake too. It's going to be a bad day but i shall enjoy every minute and get back on track tomorrow.

CarriedAwayAnnie · 15/01/2013 10:12

Happy Birthday namechanger!! Sounds like a lovely day. Birthdays are guilt free days!

Well done on the loss!

DoubleMum · 15/01/2013 10:20

Well done namechanger and wise.
Annie I have logged housework but I haven't eaten the calories I don't think.

BupcakesAndCunting · 15/01/2013 10:20

Happy birthday, namechanger! Thanks Maureen won't kick your arse in for eating chocolates on your bidet, will you, Maureen?

I am fucking HUNGRY. My Ocado shop should have been here at 10. If it doesn't get here soon I am going to start chewing my own face.

Well done to all of the losers!

Completely agree with Carrie/Maureen, housework etc is just life I don't think it should be used to eat more.

Dotty, enjoy your lunch, but they do salads, soup and jacket potatoes you know? Wink (Sorry, I do love looking at menus!).

Happy Birthday Namechanger Thanks

Carrie, do the shred. DO IT NOW!

noddyholder · 15/01/2013 10:37

It is a quick version of huevos rancheros!

noddyholder · 15/01/2013 10:39

Thanks bupcakes hospital now want a fasting blood so worried again but trying to stay positive. Seems to be nothing.

nilbyname · 15/01/2013 10:40

I am about to have 2 eggs, scrambled I think. With an avocado. Too fatty? Too yummy!

I have an idiot question Is this how you are using MFP?

I log my food, I log my exercise. I don't deduct my exercise from my total calories in my head and think...I can have a treat now? I keep the food good (ish) and try and exercise. The more I exercise the stronger, fitter and more toned I will be, not that I can eat more? Is that right, or am I missing a trick?

Not that I have been exercising hardly at all. Stupid bloody ankle.

Noddy glad you are well, and back here.

Namechanger Happy Birthday! Describe the chocolates for us please??!

Carrie you cannot dial it in, no one gets abs like these without pain. Show me PAIN! (trying to channel my inner Maureen.....failing)

nilbyname · 15/01/2013 10:41

noddy sorry, just saw that you are at the Hospital. Good Luck xx

nilbyname · 15/01/2013 10:42

I lost 2lbs! It is a paltry amount but as I have not been exercising, I am chuffed.

DoubleMum · 15/01/2013 10:48

Well done nilby, 2 lbs isn't paltry at all it's a good healthy loss.
noddy fingers crossed the 2nd test is nothing. Over the last 6 months I've had probably 50 blood tests and they've all turned out to be nothing. Which brings it's own frustration of course. Try not to worry.

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 15/01/2013 11:12

Can I join in please? It's taken me ages to read through this thread and the last one, with tears running down my face laughing. I'm at work so I'm not sure what my colleagues are thinking!
I need to lose so much weight I can't even think about it. 1 stone at a time, I think. I signed up to MFP, username Ten0six, friends would be lovely?
I managed to stay within my limit yesterday, just, so long may it continue.
