Last one filled up really quickly, so here is a brand, spanking and distinctly thinner thread for you to fill up.

You're all doing so well! I'm utterly envious Envy

I still haven't lost a single thing but have stuck to it and have shredded again. Still feeling despondent, but hey ho.

Today was:

B: Scrambled eggs with butter
L: Salad (spinach, lettuce, cucumber, 4 cherry tomatoes), prawns, advocado and olive oil
D: Roast pork with buttery swede and celeriac mash

As much water as I can and lots of fruit tea.

JustasmallGless · 11/01/2013 20:31

Lucy
Did you see my post earlier regarding exercise and not losing in first couple of weeks..

OTTMummA · 11/01/2013 20:31

BlackAffronted Yes, i plan on staying on bootcamp for a while or until i have lost 3/4 stone.
I have a lot to lose so i am following the rules as best i can and, like you say, get the bulk off in as healthy quick way as possible.
I am not exercising apart from walking, but after a few stns down i would like to start doing regular activities, maybe join a group etc, how about you?

OTTMummA · 11/01/2013 20:37

BIWI Sorry miss! I did have some mushrooms set aside that i was going to have with breakfast but they had gone off Sad so yes, a bit stingy on the veg side but i plan on making that up tomorrow Miss.

Tomorrow i am having:
B: Yellow pepper and spring onion omlette
L: Pork steak with spinach and Swede& pepper corn sauce
D: Chicken fajita made with lettuce instead of wraps and avacado

BlackAffronted · 11/01/2013 20:40

Electrical how did you make your coronation chicken? I could really go some!

OTTMummA I plan on bootcamping long term, til i get to a much better weight! I go to Zumba once a week, and walk most places. Im in this for such a long haul that its good to know someone else plans to do it too :)

I have just realised that I have reached my first target already! I set myself 10lbs to lose in the 10 week bootcamp - so I am laready 2lbs past that ha ha! Think I may have to adjust the target ... I am now aiming for possibly a 2 stone total? Too much...?

cathyandclaire · 11/01/2013 20:41

Yes lucy when I started shredding and gyming I put On 3lb and stuck there for days then they all wooshed off :)

Hmmm...

bulletwithbutterflywings · 11/01/2013 20:41

Hi everyone ! Been a bit hungry and frustrated today. Just wanted something crunchy!
On a more positive note my mum is coming tomorrow via lidl, what shall I ask her to pick up for me?
And Im going to try on wedding dresses Grin

froufroulala · 11/01/2013 20:48

Hi everyone, just clocking in. Well done to all those who have lost weight its so good to read. I started on the 2nd Jan & lost 6.75lbs over a four day period & then it just stopped & I felt so disheartened. So I stopped weighing myself till today. I have now lost 10lbs in total. Just mentioning it to show your weight loss can stall but persevere it is so worth it (I am however still tied to the toilet) Good luck all & thanks BIWI.

BlackAffronted · 11/01/2013 20:49

bullet, my lidl staples are the greek yog, the wee packs of crayfish tails (tastier than prawns i think!) celeriac, banana shallots and black forest ham :)

timidviper · 11/01/2013 20:51

bullet Get the crayfish tails! They are truly yum!

Greek yoghurt is supposed to be good too but I haven't tried it yet.

Their sparkling water is nice, I bought a pack of 6x2L to weaken my Diet Coke addiction.
Cold meats are nice and although I don't think their fresh meat is that good, it is very reasonably priced.

halfthesize · 11/01/2013 20:59

Oh Slatter sounds like a really crappy time, keep your chin up and always feel free to come and vent to usSmile

BigStickBIWI · 11/01/2013 21:04

Cauli rice for the first time tonight - bloody lovely! DP couldn't guess what it was, then he hoovered up what was left. I can see that becoming a staple.

Half the pork was good too!

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/01/2013 21:08

What?!?!? Have I missed low carb coronation chicken, if so I MUST have that recipe... I drool every time I walk past the pots in waitrose...

BigStickBIWI · 11/01/2013 21:11

Lucy - it's tough when things aren't working for you. I really understand that, especially when other people are seeing such big losses.

But don't despair. We only spoke yesterday about taking dairy out of your diet, and making other tweaks, so it will take a bit of time for that to take effect.

And, as others have said, you've been doing The Shred, which is pretty intense, as I understand it.

If you're enjoying your food, and not feeling deprived, then relax and try to go with the flow. This is something we are in for the long haul.

Aw slatternlymother it's shit when you have a shittyshitshit day. It's bad enough when you're not trying to lose weight, but triply shit when you are. Bullying make me feel sick to the pit of my stomach - hope all your woes seem better in the morning.

What I had for my tea might cheer you up. Grin

Don't beat me with the Big Stick, BIWI, I didn't have the apricots!

timidviper · 11/01/2013 21:11

OTTMummA and BlackAffronted I have my weight on the spreadsheet as 100 as I am not ready to share it yet but am one of the larger ladies. I started this on the last bootcamp and lost 2st 4lb, I went off the WOE on 21st Dec as DS came home for Xmas and the indulgence began there, gained 7lb between then and the start of this bootcamp and have lost 5lb this week so almost back there.

Anyway, what I was going to tell you was that being big and being asthmatic, so always conscious of puffing and wheezing, I could not face the thought of a gym or running as people might see me (we live in an area where everybody knows everybody IYKWIM). I had been trying to walk a bit but, as I don't have anywhere I have to walk to, I struggled to motivate myself so chickened out. About the same time as starting that bootcamp I started going to a personal trainer who has his own little gym once a week and I think it does help me. I haven't told anybody but DH, DS and DD that I go so I don't have to explain anything to anybody and the trainer (who is a very handsome young man) laughs that he is my "dirty, little secret" Grin. I'm still rubbish in fitness terms but I am seeing small improvements which is encouraging.

I suppose what I'm saying is don't think you have to wait until you've lost weight to start exercise if you want to try sooner. I'm glad I did.

FurryDogMother · 11/01/2013 21:18

Just catching up on the thread, and mention of halloumi reminded me of a tip: if missing croutons in Caesar (or other) salad - cut halloumi into small cubes, and fry in some olive oil until golden and crispy. Use in place of croutons.

Had chilli (no beans, chopped mushroms instead) for dinner tonight - was bloomin' lovely!

BigStickBIWI · 11/01/2013 21:22

MrsHP - I make coronation chicken like this:

shredded, cooked chicken, stirred into a mixture of yoghurt and mayonnaise, with some Pataks curry paste and a bit of garlic and lime juice. Taste and adjust quantities of things as you see fit.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 11/01/2013 21:25

Thanks Black and timid I've text her a list! :) anyone else got any recommendations for lidl?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 11/01/2013 21:26

That sounds good biwi! Are curry pastes generally ok for boot camp?

BigStickBIWI · 11/01/2013 21:32

Patak's Madras curry paste is 7.6g carbs per 100g - but using it as above uses probably only around 15-20g, so relatively low carb in the context of a whole dish

LucyVFood · 11/01/2013 21:34

Sorry Gless, I missed your earlier post but thanks to you, Cathy and BIWI for your posts.

I hope that's what it is! I'm just getting into the exercising again and it nearly saw me off on day three, so I don't want to pack in. I do feel much better today and haven't had any dairy apart from butter.

Maybe it is muscle? If my clothes felt better I wouldn't mind, but I haven't noticed any difference yet. But my food has been lovely and I'm not really hungry at all. I'll stick to it and hope for the best.

JustasmallGless · 11/01/2013 21:38

Lucy honestly it will be worth it.
Keep the faith!

JessicaWakefield · 11/01/2013 22:05

MrsHP I love, love, love that butter too! And to think of all those years of eating some pretend yellow food like "lite" substance instead of these golden, salty crystals of heaven!
