Okay I am going to be 100% honest on this - rules are

Post your height, weight and dress size
what you want to achieve
post everything you have eaten and drank every day if possible.
Also post details of any exercise taken.
When someone has been over indulgent we need to help support and remind them why they want to lose the weight.

anyone up for this?

I will start

I am 5ft 5" and weigh 16 stones Shock
I am a size 20 (but try to squeeze into 18!)
I have never been skinny but would like to be able to buy clothes anywhere so get to size 14ish.
I will post details later of food and exercise taken.

Someone join me please?

Its funny I have so tried not to have myself weighed and not to own up to how over weight I am and now it seems like this has given me a real boost! Its good that after the weigh in I exercise as well which helps maintain that feeling.

8 stone sounded really hard somehow 7 doesnt sound quite as bad! LOL and with each stone I guess the total figure seems easier!

spacecadet · 17/06/2006 16:24

im feeling down today, af arrived and so did the cravings for all things badSad, ive decided to join slimming world, i need to weigh myself every week in front of a consultant, i need the strict routine of a class, ive got 5 stone to lose and it seems like an impossible task...its going to take such a long time to lose itSad

schneebly · 17/06/2006 17:09

spacey dont't feel bad - we all have days like that. You have done a positive thing by deciding to go to SW - It is a great diet (I am on it too) and you might well find that the extra support and getting weighed every week are just what you need. Also a good way to meet other people. Smile I also take part in the mumsnet SW thread which is great too. Don't beat youself up about a bad day just draw a line under it and start afresh, Smile

EvesMama · 17/06/2006 19:34

im really really fat.
im 5ft 6in and weight over 16 stone.
lately i constantly eat chocolate, even go out for some more when dd gone to bed.
have lots going on at mo, but am very disgusted with myself being so fat and so uncomfortable in this weather.

KMJ · 17/06/2006 20:57

I joined weightwatchers online 6 weeks ago, it's been brilliant, have lost 13 lbs, been only a few bad days which I just put behind me and start each day afresh. Tried the weightwatchers meetings some years ago, but hated the ritual humiliation and being talked to as if I was stupid. the ww online gives you all the control and is so encouraging to see the chart with losses mounting up. Weighed 15.2 at start, 5'7", size 20, want to get to size 14 by Xmas when I have my nephews wedding. Am determined to do it and not be a fatty any more or ever again and see my 3 year old son grow up.

schneebly · 18/06/2006 13:25

KMJ - well done - that is a great loss! Xongratulations and I hope it keeps working for you! Smile

EVESMAMA - you sound very much like me a couple of months ago - about same size and with same chocolate obsession! I have now been on SW eating plan for almost 6 weeks and lost about a stone and I have still had chocolate about 4 days per week! It can be done if your mind is made up and Mumsnet is a great place for support. If I can do this anyone can! Smile

hi shneebly, yeah i lost weight last year on here and i have lost lots of weight with s.w before..am thinking of going back to s.w as i made a good friend in the consultant..prob is, i hate having to pay if you cant make it..i know thats supposed to make you go, but i get to the point where i feel like its 'something i cant get out of'?..prob same time as ive started eating pounds of choc againBlush..i dontknow..have even eaten four large chunks of dp's yorkie tonight..and i hate yorkie chocBlush

schneebly · 18/06/2006 21:51

Can you tell the consultant that you are an occasional shift worker and will let her know if you can't make it? Naughty I know! Blush

Partly I think it is about breaking the pattern. Saying no to things is not me unless I say "I am on a diet" or "i cant have that". I now say "I dont want that" and although it is only words it does feel totally different.

My pattern is to follow through on healthy eating for about 12 weeks max and then eat some "bad" foods and stop altogether. I am determinde to break that pattern. Also if things havent worked in the past I am not going to do them again. I am the worlds expert on dieting but diets dont work for me. Exercise always has and so does looking after myself and that is what I need to concentrate on.

EvesMama · 19/06/2006 09:38

shneebly..she's a friend(distant tho), so i wouldnt like to lie to her!..plus she does three or four classes, so im sure she'd fit me in somewhere!

am in positive mood today reg eating though..dd had to use macdonalds loo before school today, so we bought a bag of fruit, which she then said she didnt want, so i ate..have also got big banana next and may have an omlette egg sarnie before i pick dd back up(early lunch)

glitterfairy · 19/06/2006 10:02

None of that is too much though evesmama! A bag of fruit is hardly a packet of biscuits and an omelette s/wich doesnt sound like a tub of hagen dass!

I have been for a swim and am feeling sick which is good as I ma in court today over the kids. Am going to try to eat a snack of a banana though before I go as it really upsets my stomach when I get stressed!

EvesMama · 19/06/2006 10:10

well the sarnie is just egg and bit of milk, two slices of bread..will scrap the butter and not use oil, and a splat of tommy sauce!..yes brekkie would normally consist of 2 or three proper wrapped choccy biccys, 4!..(fours slices) omlette egg sarnies with butter and oil..followed by more biccys sneakily eaten so dd doesnt want one and spoil her meal!!!Shock..i am so crap at this!

EvesMama · 19/06/2006 10:10

p.s..good luck today..hope it go's well..i find apples fill me more than bananas?!

schneebly · 19/06/2006 10:21

glitter - I hope all goes well today. Thinking of you. Smile

Evesmama - well done so far. It makes a big difference if you start the day with a positive attitude. Smile

EvesMama · 19/06/2006 12:38

Sad..had omlette, no oil no butter..then ate 3 snak size single wrapped twix biscuits..i feel like ive got a self destruct button..i defy 'myself'??!!
the mornings seem to be the worst for me?..ive just ate the banana and i know ill be fine until dinner time about 5-5.30..but its just chocolateSad

schneebly · 19/06/2006 14:15

Is there any way you can just get rid of the chocolate from the house? Only thing that works for me! I live in the middle of nowhere too so can't just pop to the shop - it might be different if you are near shops. Anyway, what's done is done - just draw a line under it and carry on with good intention to try and control what you are eating. You haven't committed a dreadful crime or anything so dont feel so bad! HTH. xxx
