Okay I am going to be 100% honest on this - rules are

Post your height, weight and dress size
what you want to achieve
post everything you have eaten and drank every day if possible.
Also post details of any exercise taken.
When someone has been over indulgent we need to help support and remind them why they want to lose the weight.

anyone up for this?

I will start

I am 5ft 5" and weigh 16 stones Shock
I am a size 20 (but try to squeeze into 18!)
I have never been skinny but would like to be able to buy clothes anywhere so get to size 14ish.
I will post details later of food and exercise taken.

Someone join me please?

spacey - very controlled! Well done. Smile I got weighed at SW tonight and have lost another 2.5lbs so 10lbs in 4 weeks which I am really happy with and haven't really felt too deprived either! With the nice weather I have been walking more which I think has helped too. Good luck with your decorating!

glitterfairy · 10/06/2006 09:04

HI everyone have had an awful week as have been unwell. Eating not out of hand though although no gym and did not get weighed!

Am going to buy healthy stock for fridge today and start my plan! Onwards and downwards (weight wise!)

BBWBabeLisa · 12/06/2006 14:40

I know this thread's been going a while, but is it to late for a new member? Just been reading thru the stats of some of you skinny things! You're doing so well!

I'm Lisa, I've just turned 33, and I'm an army wife living in Hampshire. I had my first baby, a wee girl, on January 12th this year. 4 days after the birth I weighed in at an astounding 22st 12lb. I have type 2 diabetes and have for about 2 years now (that made pregnancy fun!). I'm 5ft 3 and am now wearing a size 26/28 (was in size 34 elasticated jeans in January). Since my DD was born in January I have lost 4st 7lb (am now 18st 5lb), I have to hold my hands up and say it's not been thru dieting, I have a bad case of gall stones (gall bladder has now become infected - on anti-bios and awaiting op to have it removed)which has meant I can't eat any fat. The weight has therefore dropped off me. I was taken to hospital on Friday evening by ambulance in a really bad way, having been very ill since Thursday night (this is when they discovered it's infected) and by Saturday morning I'd lost another half a stone (from Thurs night). I'm seeing the surgeon tomorrow so hopefully he'll be able to give me a time-frame for the op, but I'm worried that once I can start eating normally again (i.e fat) I'll stop losing weight and regain it all. I wanna get down to 15st before we start trying for another baby. I know thats still heavy to be TTC but it's 5 stone less than what I was when I conceived my daughter so I'll be happy with it.
Anyway, think I've rambled enuff. Am off to peel a load of Maris Pipers to make a big pile of fat-free (Slimming world recipe) chips for tonight. If it wasn't for them and marshmallows (fat-free too!) I'd lose the will to live!

glitterfairy · 12/06/2006 19:21

Hiya Lisa. Yes the fat dropped off me too when I had gallstones. Then put it back on again after they were taken out! Now starting all over again.

Anyway am now back at the gym and feeling better and started the GI diet today but am not going to make it all or nothing as I usually do just be cool about it all. AM being weighed on Friday!

schneebly · 12/06/2006 20:37

Welcome lisa - of course you can join us! You have taken the first step which is the biggest one! We are here for support. Smile

Glitterfairy - well done getting back to the gym!

I have not had a great week really - have been unwell with kidney imfection and feeling sorry for myself so am not expecting a loss - probably have gained Sad. Get weighed tommorow night - will let you know how it goes.

mrsbang · 12/06/2006 21:28

Welcome Lisa.

How was the weigh-in Spacey??

Aw, sorry to hear you've not had a good week Glitterfairy and Schneebly, hope this week is better for you both.

The wedding was glorious, all things considered. I ended up with a floaty pink floral skirt, with pink sleeveless top and pale green jacket (there was green in the skirt). Yes, I knowwwwwwwww it was hot, but I just couldn't abandon the jacket and bare my arms I'm afraid.

I had a very busy, stressful week last week, but I managed reasonably well I reckon. Mealtimes were a bit hit n miss nutritionally I suspect but no major binging episodes. Thursday night was particularly stressful but quite proud that I ended up with frozen raspberries rather than a tub of icecream or a big block of chocolate...

Well, I'm pleased to say I've lost the holiday extras and a couple of pounds as well. Can only suggest it must have been the nervous energy but am quite happy with that.

Good luck this week everybody.

glitterfairy · 12/06/2006 22:19

Had a really good day gym, no extras at all and not hungry! Yippee!! I even cooked for myself it is so much harder alone to cook but am doing so and ate tea with the kids whihc was nice. two of them tried my slimming pasta sauce!

schneebly · 13/06/2006 21:32

mrsbang - well done - sounds like you are doing really well!
Glitterfairy - I admire your commitment to the gym and well done on getting the kids to eat your sauce! I have 2 toddlers (17months and 2.10) and they are very suspicious of vegetables and I managed to feed them some homemade pasta sauce the other night with 6 different veg in - I blended it Grin Felt very sneaky but smug!

Well - I got weighed tonight and it was better than I thought - 1.5lbs off Shock Not quite sure how I managed it but wont complain! Grin I am aiming for 2.5lbs off next week to get my stone award! I know I can do it if I stick to it!

Spacecadet - how are you doing m'dear? I hope your decorating is going well and you are settling in. Smile

ginmummy · 13/06/2006 21:40

My name's gin and I'm fat too.

I'm 5'7" and weigh about 18 stones.
I'm size 24 trousers and 26 shirt, though I did fit into a size 22 pair of jeans from New Look last week! (Going in the right direction then!)

12 years ago I was a bridesmaid and my dress was a Laura Ashley petite size 10! I binge eat, especially when I'm down. I don't want to die young, but most of all I want to see my son grow up, be there for him when he needs me most, not in a box somewhere.

I'm 28 and by the time I'm 30 in November 2007 I want to be a comfortable size 16.

schneebly · 13/06/2006 22:19

Hi gin - welcome to the drastic action thread! Well done for taking positive action to make your vision come true. Any support you need you will find it here - I have also been a binge eater and piled nearly 3 stones on in the second half of last year when my PND was bad so I know what it is like. Best wishes and I look forward to 'talking' to you. Smile

Ledodgyherring · 13/06/2006 22:36

Can I join too please? I'm 5"71/2 and weigh 16 stone, I have just bought a swimming costume off ebay and when it comes I intend to swim 3-5 times a week (i have no excuse as pool is a walk away from my house) am determined to lose it this time I had my second child my ds 6 1/2 months ago and don't plan on anymore so I want to reclaim my body back!

schneebly · 14/06/2006 13:11

Of course you can ledodgy! The swimming will be great exercise! We haven't had a pool for a few years as the old one was demolished but a state of the art one has just been built and opens this month and it even has a creche that you can use when in the pool or gym! I am really pleased that I will finally be able to go swimming! I don't have a cossie yet - think I might just have a wee look on ebay myself as I am skint! Grin Best wishes! I hope you achieve what you want to. Smile
