No spreadsheet to link to this week, as the LBD challenge is now over!

I don't know about anyone else, but I have definitely not had the greatest of weeks, and I'm keeping on keeping on until we get to Christmas.

Not quite sure yet what my own Christmas strategy is going to be, but I also guess it depends on where I've got to with my weight by then. I know that, having achieved my first major target of losing 2 stones, I still have more to go. So my next really major, very psychological target, will be to reach 9 stone. Something I have been trying (and failing) to do for the last 10 years! But now it seems so much more achieveable, especially with all you lot giving such brilliant support.

This week for me starts with a super strict day today. I'm out to dinner tomorrow, with a groups of ex colleagues, and venue is not yet chosen, but is likely to be a Chinese, which always brings its own problems. not to mention the wine

I'm also out to lunch on Friday, so it looks like Wednesday and Thursday will also have to be super strict!

Maybe we should be the crustless quiche! Grin

Doshusallie · 08/01/2013 18:56

Singing - I know!!!!! Me too!!!! Can't believe I've done a week. Having a cold has helped. Don't even feel like it tbh. Have drunk so much water today I am sloshing, and purchased 2 big bottles of fizzy water today to have in the evenings.

Eating/snacking a lot though. Being on the wagon has made me gain weight so far. WTF? Hmm

EwanHoozami · 08/01/2013 19:02

viper splendid idea about salsa beef! I love salsa. I love a bit of chipolte with slow-cooked beef too, it's quite carby according to the jar but you only need a teaspoon to give a kick.

Happy birthday captainmummy It's your birthday, so have whatever you fancy. I love Thai food, so I shall live vicariously through you.

I'd really like to have a spot around a campfire if there were a campfire a-blazin' Wink

EwanHoozami · 08/01/2013 19:03

ARF at crustless quiche Grin

Dosh - since being teetotal you've gained?! Shock. How does that happen?! Bizarre. Ahh well easy decision for me then .......

We have to carry on our haven. Love the 'Crustless Quiche'. Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 08/01/2013 20:44

Time for a 'crustless quiche' then I reckon BIWI!

Dosh - get back on the booze?!?!?! Wink JOKE before BIWI brandishes her big stick.

Well I have lost 4lbs in 24 hours!!!!!

MrsHerculePoirot · 08/01/2013 20:44

Ooops sorry, already told you that Blush

Well done, Mrs HP!

Dosh - that seems odd that you would gain. Have you been eating more, do you think?

JustasmallGless · 08/01/2013 20:49

Well done mrs HP- that's a brilliant start. Onwards and downwards

vnmum · 08/01/2013 20:52

captain happy birthday.
singing yeah i am still enjoying the job. Luckily the 26 hr shifts only happen every so often and i do get a few hours sleep in that even if i don't sleep brilliantly due to not being at home.

I haven't given into any cravings yet though Smile
I did have an indian takeaway last night at work but i think there was some sneaky sugar in the sauce, not enough to trigger cravings straight away as i wasn't remotely interested in the jam doughnuts brought into work this morning.

ToomuchWaternotWine · 08/01/2013 21:04

Happy late birthday captainmummy hope you are up to your eyeballs in yummy Thai food by now. Thai is my favourite too, so delish if done properly.

singing ooh choc and red labs, how gorgeous. I have a nearly 10 year old black, he's currently snoozing on me, who needs central heating eh?

Fab result mrshp worth saying twice! I am only on day 2 so resisting the urge to weigh yet.

ToomuchWaternotWine · 08/01/2013 21:08

Oh lord and obviously sending good vibes to half for a successful outcome to the OP, sorry, I thought I had done you first, too much to remember on too little sleep! Fingers crossed for a better night tonight.

caramelwaffle · 08/01/2013 21:11

Well done "MrsHP*

and Happy Birthday Captain

caramelwaffle · 08/01/2013 21:15

I'm amazed that I put on quite a lot over christmas, yet lost i quite quickly...

Doshusallie · 08/01/2013 21:16

Yes biwi I am definitely eating more. Sad. Find myself on the prowl in the kitchen even after huge meals.. Have laid off the nuts and PB today.

I clearly used my wine/gin of an evening as a snack substitute.

timidviper · 08/01/2013 21:36

MrsHP I am jealous of your 4lb! I have been really strict since first thing on Saturday and, as I was out all day yesterday, ate very little so hoped that would be almost like an intermittent fast but weighed this am and have only lost 1lb. Still at least it's in the right direction.

DD (age 22) is getting into shape for going off travelling later this month and has just subjected me to the delights of Level 1 Shred. I am too old for this! Needless to say I couldn't do it all (over 50 and overweight!) and have discovered that I not only need a superstrength sports bra, I also need reinforced knickers for my tummy on those bloody star jump thingies! Getting older and saggier is not glamorous!

MrsHerculePoirot · 08/01/2013 21:39

viper I think it probably is a bit of a sham - I stuffed my face with so much on Sunday to 'use it all up' so probably whatever I had done it would have come down a bit - quite inspiring though I get me through the rest of the week. I am very impressed you tried shred!!!

timidviper · 08/01/2013 21:40

dosh I am hungry too, resorted to Hogbites pork crackling tonight which is much more palatable than others I have tried.

It's odd as I noticed over the holidays I was not eating as much as I would have pre lc-ing but am definitely hungrier now. I'm hoping it will pass once I am back in the swing of things.

Doshusallie · 08/01/2013 21:47

Today -

B - 5 big table spoons full fat Greek yoghurt

L - 3 egg mushroom omelette with coleslaw

D - 2 sticks celery, chunk of Stilton, pâté, cucumber slices, boiled egg, lettuce, 2 slices ham, added mayo

Snacks - pork scratchings, baby bel, 1 tablespoon of Greek yoghurt

At least 2.5 litres of water, 1 decaf tea with splash of ss, 3 decaf black coffees, pint of berocca.

NO ALCOHOL

If I could lay off the snacks I think this would be ok if I can keep this up I'll shift the two pounds I've added - hopefully.

Helps me to write this all down.

ToomuchWaternotWine · 08/01/2013 23:07

willie when I looked at the spreadsheet just now, it was showing everyone in weight order ie starting at 100 and going up and up to the ladies at 200+ lbs

Do you, and biwi and everyone think it would be better in alphabetical order as before, less intimidating perhaps if you are conscious of your weight - and easier to find your own name?

I am not changing anything on the s/s

timidviper · 08/01/2013 23:13

Thank fuck I'm counting from 100! That would be embarassing!

BigStickBIWI · 08/01/2013 23:13

I thought it was alphabetized?! Confused

Someone will have been touching they shouldn't have!

timidviper · 08/01/2013 23:17

I just had a quick look and it said "last altered 56 mins ago". Some poor bugger has probably touched a button, not realising what would happen and run away!

Jacaqueen · 08/01/2013 23:19

Oh no it wasn't me

Somebody has touched a blue box.
