Morning!

And what a truly horrible morning it is.

Here is the spreadsheet to confess all

Let's see what we can do in the next/last two weeks. A couple of strict weeks to finish Bootcamp and hopefully we can shift some serious pounds.

Lavender - could it be low salt? I seem to remember there was an issue with low salt levels on the original bootcamp thread BIWI will know.

I'm on Day 3 of rejoining low carb and have the dreaded headache from hell, but have stuck with it (apart from a glass of wine).

Can anyone tell my why I have a tub of coconut oil? I think I bought it when I was on the original bootcamp but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing with it.

Also any soup ideas? Everything I think of has carby veg ie. carrots, onions etc.

Thanks for the quick responses Jessica, captain and NotMost, I think I will try and get him to eat a bowl of porridge for breakfast and see if that helps. I need to investigate the low salt thing too and see if its relevant.

I just can't get it through to him that vegetables are as good if not better than fruit except for the sugar and that I am enjoying this WOE. He constantly craves chocolate and biscuits etc so doesn't understand that I don't. I would far rather he eats what suits him and let's me do the same. I have tried to keep it all low key as don't agree with talking about diets and weight all the time when DC are around as don't want them worrying about their weight (which is absolutely fine btw), but he is constantly trying to get me to eat stuff by getting the kids to tell me to.

Lavender - how long has he been doing it? Could the things he is feeling not simply be carb withdrawal, that will pass in due course?

Could it simply be that he is a mardy git like my husband? Grin Just kidding. sortof

Just swum a mile. Did not feel like it, but feel marvellous now and am really proud of myself for going. Ache from gym yesterday, raining outside, working at home sitting on cosy sofa etc etc.

Lunch will be curried butternut squash soup (snap Piffle).

Afternoon All, *Lavender hope things improve soonSmile

With regards to TOTM, I have to say my PMT, pain etc has been much improved since this WOE..

Toomuch thanks, my husband suggested my username a month or so ago as had to change itGrin I do feel so much better for loosing the weight.

Singing I have had quite a few comments recently about not going to far, weight loss wise, as I may start to look gaunt.
Honestly, I was upset to start with and then thought what the hell, its my body.. I am in no way looking to thin and am aware after 3 children there are parts of my body I will never be happy with. Buts that's also because I am not 20 anymoreWink
Some of the comments have been from people that I think may be a little jealous but most from people who I have known for years, have great figures, does leave me thinking that some people just honestly believe they have the right to comment on anything they please, without really thinking it throughSmile

Anyway I am 3 pints down and just had pork chop with a little salad for lunch. Breakfast was a coffee as builders in again!!!!

Sorry rather long post x

Lavenders It could be carb withdrawal with your DH. IF he is still getting cravings, it would suggest that his insulin isn't under control and that he may not be in ketosis. He could be at the inbetweeen stage where his body is trying to go into ketosis but is resisting and causing low sugar symptoms i.e moodiness, cravings etc

Lavender - don't tell BIWI but he could have a nibble of some 75% coco chocolate. That helped me in the past.

I'm in full on carb craving day 3, I've done it before so I know I just have to get through it - tough though.

NotMost - I hope you're through it soon. I've cheated knocked myself out of ketosis a few times & it's been horrible.

Had salad for lunch as my meeting was postponed to tomorrow morning.

Had bolognaise for dinner, but didn't bother with the corgette. Had lots og grated cheese instead. I had it early though, so hope I don't feel picky later on.

How's everyone else doing?

halfthesize I was on another thread discussing comments about weight loss and not going too far ...

Myself and others said that their friends, who were, say, a size 14, were very encouraging when the person was slimming down from, say, a size 18 to 14, however when the person kept going and got thinner than friends to a 12 or 10, that's when the "helpful/bitchy" comments started!! They could cope when we were still bigger than them, but woe betide once we overtook them in the skinny stakes Wink

If your friend is anything like my 2 doctor friends, straight talking to the point of bluntness is a given!! Smile love them tho, great to take shopping as they will just say "no" as soon as come out of changing room in something not suiting!

Lavender - sorry to hear about your husband being a twat being irritable!

How long has he been doing it? Is he just in the carb withdrawal phase?

If you can, keep him off the fruit - the sugar in that will just undo all the good work so far.

But to be honest, if he isn't committed to the idea/science/thinking behind low carbing, he's never going to do it. Has he done any reading about it?

Halfthesize that is so true, thank you. Smile. I'm over it now and still want a lose a few more pounds, but off the hips hopefully!

Lavender how long how DH been LCing for? Like the others said it could be carb flu. Or like my DH when he wants to eat everything in sight he might just be a grumpy sod. Grin

D: left over shoulder of lamb from Sunday casseroled with mushrooms, leeks, shallots, tin of toms served with cabbage and cauliflower mashed with butter and fried.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and advice. He is convinced he knows best and isn't interested in reading or learning more about low carbing. DH is usually great but being a pain about this. He's definitely not in ketosis because he keeps cheating and then complaining it doesn't work and he's craving carbs. Not changing what I'm doing though.
Dinner was roast chicken and loads of veg in homemade cheese sauce. Yummy but I'm definitely too reliant on cheese, we're getting through tons of the stuff.
Still not drinking enough water though so need to try harder with that.

Will wake up starving tomorrow.

Dinner was venison and pork sausages. They looked lonely.

Lots of herbal tea and a brandy.

Hello all. My new scales have arrived so I will weigh in tomorrow. I went for mechanical ones - they are not very precise (they don't go down to the ounce, in fact you have to peer quite hard to make out which pound you're on). I just wanted some I only had to stand on once which will give me my weight instantly.

I know Dosh, she puts me to shame. Her attitude humbles me and I hope that should I ever be faced with the daily trials that she has that I would be able to face it in the same spirit. I'm not sure I would though.

Right been p since half 5 so night losers

I am absolutely knackered today and wonder if it's because I had started to cheat a bit too much (over the weekend I seem to have gained back most of what I lost last week) and am now trying to rein myself in again. Either that or work really is killing me slowly!

Today I have been quite good but not enough water and succumbed to 3 Diet Cokes Blush
B: Omelette with leftover meatloaf
L: Chicken, handful of almonds
T: Chicken with cheese and bacon, leeks, swede
Snack: seeds
