Morning!

And what a truly horrible morning it is.

Here is the spreadsheet to confess all

Let's see what we can do in the next/last two weeks. A couple of strict weeks to finish Bootcamp and hopefully we can shift some serious pounds.

I too have sinned this weekend (lucky i moved my weighing day to a Friday Grin so weighed before the sinning began!) It's odd because I also didn't really enjoy it. I suppose this lack of physical enjoyment of naughty foods is what thin people have naturally, now we just have to break that mental habit of seeing these foods as an indulgence and we'll have won the battle!

vnmum Glad the job is going well. Good luck with the childminding. I'm sure something will work out, it always does (and I say that as one who has suffered some childcare dramas in my time!)

MrsHP Your night out sounds fantastic fun.

We had our first Christmas party last night and have spent today putting the trees and decorations up. DH is about to spontaneously combust over a set of tree lights that work until you put them on the tree then they don't! I swear he is the only methodically minded engineery type that can lose all sense of symmetry and balance and get 90% of the lights concentrated into a very small part of the tree. Am now off to correct it!

Mrs HP, how funny!

Had a lovely melanzane parmigiana at Pizza Exp today for DS's birthday. How did my baby get to be 4? It was a cold crisp day and we walked about 4 miles in total so were beyond frozen by the time we got home.

Dosh, sympathies on the work front. I am in the same boat this week and am terrified. Still, only 5 more days to go to the weekend.

Have a good evening everyong.

Mrs HP!! You've let yourself down, you've let the bootcamp down, you've let the school down............Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Sounds hilarious.

Had a great weekend in London with DH - our feet are sore from walking the length or Oxford Street several times. Dh is so funny in London, he never goes there and is always a buit bemused by the tube etc.

Apart from the alcohol and the Kentucky Fried Chicken, oh and the pringles, food wise was good! bacon and scrambled eggs for brekkie in the hotel. Am now having a courgette, chorizo, bacon, onion and cheese frittata. once I have finished this glass of wine it will be water all the way

Bracing self for nightmare week at work.

Hello! Thank you all very much, I wasn't planning on leaving, just not quite fully bootcamping if that is OK and see how I go with that for a few weeks.

I went out with my netball team for our christmas social and drank my body weight (which remember is BIG) in cocktails and shots. I have not drunk like that since I was about 18. It was very, very funny though and I am still drunk giggling about it now!

Sadly, unlike BIWI I didn't manage to get home until nearly 3 am, and then couldn't open my door and had to ring DH to come and let me in. Turns out this morning I was trying to open my front door with the keys to my classroom. Oops.

I'm joining you in the norty corner, lavender . I was so good at what could have been a v difficult lunch and ate really well. Lots of people I hadn't seen for ages commenting on my non-podge.

I then got pissed on red wine and ate pizza for tea.

WHY? I'm such a twat, it wasn't even nice.

Hi mirai Xmas Smile I often cook up a no-crust quiche and eat it over few lunches or fill a tupperware with cold meats, cheese and some roasted asparagus and broccoli or something similar.

It's a useful thing to do, though, Lavender, because it really does open your eyes to what you like/don't like to eat. To find that something that previously you would have devoured is becoming something you feel you 'have' to eat is a very interesting experience! And if it's making you feel poorly, well surely that's telling you that your body really doesn't need it?

There will always be times that you fall off the wagon - either because you have no choice or because you want to. But where you have the choice, you can now exercise that more selectively.

IME, the best thing to do is to have a couple of really strict days. Keep your carbs as low as you can, keep your fat levels up and drink lots of water. It should only take a couple of days to get back on track.

Happy birthday Mastervnmum!

iPads working ok thank God.

Thanks singing, have had some water already so will just eat the basics today and drink more. Might delay weighing till tues though, just cross with myself that I ate the rubbish even though I wasn't enjoying it.

Lavender, I'd just get back on the low carb bandwagon today with loads of water. Tbh, I've had a few fasting days mainly through not being hungry and it hasn't made a bit of difference. Think vnmum and BIWI found the same.

Welcome Mirai. Smile

morning all. whip I am loving the job. really thought life couldn't get better until the childcare thing reared it's ugly head.
nappy I am just outside Salisbury, near amesbury.

luckily my temp solution is ok to carry on for a bit longer so that gives me chance to sort something out. also DH should find out just before Xmas what is happening with his injury which means I will then know if I need to factor a deployment into my childcare needs or not.

It's my sons 7th birthday today. we will be building Lego Smile

congrats on all the big losses and new dresses.

welcome to mirai. I just take salad with avocado or olives to up the fat, with some protein

Hello all, my phones playing up this morning and won't let me read the thread but hope everyone's ok and no one is finding it too hard this week.

DH and I had an extremely rare night out last night (first for a year), and decided to go and see Skyfall. We had a meal first and I fell off the wagon big time Blush. Had onion soup with crusty bread to start, a Christmassy turkey dinner with all the trimmings, a bucket sized glass of rosé and a Baileys coffee. Then followed that with popcorn and chocolate at the cinema.

The funny thing is I had to force myself to eat most of it but I did as it was a 'treat'.

This morning I haven't dared weigh myself and I feel lousy. How stupid can I be this close to the end of camp. It does however tell me I need to buy a ton of things like Brie and ham for Christmas as snacking on Celebrations just isn't what I really want this year. Unfortunately the wine and Baileys slipped down very easily.

Do I need to fast today to minimise the damage or eat normally do you think?

Once you get into the habit of cooking low carb meals, it's easy enough to make extra, so you have stuff to take into work the next day.

Otherwise - a bag of salad, some ham/tinned tuna/cheese, oil/vinegar dressing and Bob's your uncle! Grin
