We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Hey rum what about the innocent pots, very easy to stick in the microwave? I ate a few of those porridge pots too, just need a kettle for them. Although, I really can't talk! We had fish and chips, pizza and all manner of quick and easy dreadful meals.
Try your best though, I put on three pounds over the two weeks we were moving, and I lost my scales so kind of thought it didn't matter.
Microwave rice and prepared salads? Fruit? mushy peas straight out of the tin my personal fave

Goonatic · 10/10/2012 21:13

Oh and ps good luck with moving! I am two weeks in as of today and am getting sorted! X

The innocent pots are good. I got some this week on offer in Tesco. Couldn't justify paying full price for them though. Hoping offer lasts long enough for me to stock up on more.

cookieowner · 10/10/2012 23:33

i too am moving this week so trying to keep meals healthy round it, but it is definately not easy at all and stress makes me reach for the chinese menus
Will try and eat well except for actual moving day which will be a mess i just know it
I relaly want to lose more weight though so need to get back on to a strict regime asap

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 06:03

Yup moving stressfull we did it 5 days before Xmas last year . What about Kebabs so can have chicken kebab and salad if need takeaways

Tortoise

Glad dc had fun at the fair , hope the cake was good

Am in better mood this morning , going to bed worked ( once on bed getting out is a pita so find it helps me advoid nibbling ) .
Once kids at school will make some phone calls point out that neither mine it ds2 manual wheelchairs are the type that fold as both lightweight rigid frames oh and also do workout since I may have slept in Blush and can't do now as need start the school madness .

I have set myself a goal of being 14 stone by Jan the first so 19lb to loose was originally going for 15 by holiday in December but am 5lb of that so think may be cheating a tad ( I started at 20 stone ) in June

Youcanringmybell · 11/10/2012 12:37

**

I have manflu - something akin to manthrax poisening...

I have eaten about 8 slices of of bread already in the form of toast and sandwiches.

Feed a cold starve a fever eh??? I am opting out of weigh in monday due to pre-eminent death. May as well enjoy my last few days....
I ache from head to toe. I NEED chocolate. I have one functioning nostril. Though this is intermittent. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest.

On the upside I had a delivery of lots of healthy stuff so should be back to it soon. I know I am naughty but my weight loss journey has taken a detour.

As you were Blush

ICBINEG · 11/10/2012 13:15

Hey gang! The thing is that losing weight is HARD...and sometimes circumstances make it even harder bordering on impossible.

So lets have no more of this 'I'm naughty' talk! You do what you can when you can and you get back on the wagon as soon as possible afterwards.

The weight of guilt is in fact a real weight when you factor in feeling miserable and over eating as a result...so ditch the guilt and ditch the weight.

Youcanringmybell · 11/10/2012 13:34

Round of applause fro ICB

The fact is, if it were easy none of us would need this thread.

I am still 9lbs lighter so as long as we go in the right direction LONG TERM we will be doing ourselves a great service.
Thank you ICB x

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 11/10/2012 14:12

Well said icb

As I see it I am a lardarse overweight because I have forgotten how to read what my body is telling me and I am retraining it, which will take a long time. I need to understand when to eat junk (crisps in my case as I am a potato lover) and when my body wants healthy stuff. As long as my body is mainly happy with the healthy stuff then I am not going to feel guilty about the odd bad day. (let's see if I feel like this when I am ill / have perod/ screaming child)!

rum, cookie are you able to use a cooker? Those low cal pizzas mentioned in the last thread sound good.

Dinner tonight is from the hairy bikers book. Lamb curry with tomatoes, potatoes and spinach. Bought dh a naan and it has 350 calories! I have never looked at calories before but it strikes me that the 'extras' I used to eat often have as many calories as the actual food.

youcan hope you feel better soon.

Ooh just remembered (sometimes I feel like I never stop rambling when I message you) but I let myself watch great British bake off as a treat yesterday. I had a f*ing nightmare in which I went to a party where Brendan's macaroons were being served and I couldn't eat any! I actually woke up feeling upset about it!

ICBINEG · 11/10/2012 14:14

yup we are 100% playing the long game here. Marathon not a sprint and all that.

Also even when you aren't losing, your body is catching up....I had a couple of weeks there were the weight was pretty constant but my body started to shrink!

It's not where you stand...it's which way you are facing.

cookieowner · 11/10/2012 14:16

i tried one of the delizia pizzas last night i was impressed!
I still have a fully functioning kitchen but am packing it away tonight and tomorrow BUT i have already planned my meals for today and tomorrow so thats a good thing
Saturday is actual moving day so i think will not try and worry too much and then sunday stock up again on healthy stuff
Like you all say theres is ni point beating yourself up if you srent doing too well, main thing is NOT to give up as we can all do this i know we can !

ICBINEG · 11/10/2012 14:16

heh. I keep watching the bake off and I have no idea why...I sometime actually gasp with relief when they are making something boring like bread or something I would never just get up and make like the ginger bread architecture...must be mad.

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 14:20

Omg Grin I brought some size 16 skinny fit low rise jeans from Sainsburys in sale thinking will keep diet into them . Tried them on to see how much need to loose and pulled them on and done them straight up !!! Little bit tight on waist but still they don't up without breathing in [sobs] never thought I be wearing 16 again

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 11/10/2012 14:29

Omg human that's awesome!

I am living in the size 14 skirt I bought last week and bought two more tops in the gap sale (think I have worn skirt for 6 out of 7 days) and it is making me so happy! I hope you get the same buzz I am because it is making it easier to not eat crap.

ICBINEG · 11/10/2012 14:31

congrats!

I will be punching another new hole in my belt tonight...but I think moving down tot he next size jeans will be a little while off.

ICBINEG · 11/10/2012 14:34

jdfw about your comment about reading your body....i have never known when I am full. I will be on the verge of puking before I notice it may be time to stop eating now. EXCEPT when I was pregnant. Suddenly it was obvious when I was full and hungry. I stopped eating half way through a ravioli once - it was that sudden. Of course now I have given birth I am back to normal service and never knowing if I am hungry full or just right. It makes me wonder if there isn't a wonder hormone treatment we could all have that would simply restore our ability to know when to stop eating?

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 14:41

Yup Mid June I was 22/24 so well happy makes the dieting and the working out all worthwhile and given me enough drive to keep going I will loose that 19lb by Jan the 1st

I like be a 12 which is fair as I'm 5.7 in reality even though in chair am knew high to a sparrow fart

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 14:43

Knee*

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 14:53

Johhny by tips not shrinking as my boobs don't seem be back size is cup size not lol I'm going end up top heavy again oh we'll

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 14:55

Tops Blush iPhone typos

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 11/10/2012 15:09

I'm sure there is. A friend has had a gastric sleeve operation where they just remove about 2/3 of the stomach and she said the bit they remove contains the bit that makes you hungry. So she's never hungry. So you do wonder why they don't develop a pill that just suppresses it or controls it. Probably the multi million pound dieting industry would stop it?

TheHumancatapult · 11/10/2012 16:03

Jonny

My mum had the same she also can't eat a lot either or is sick

Would not work for me I love my food to much to give up forever but know I'm always going need to work on moderation when get to goal weight

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 11/10/2012 17:00

I know what you mean human my friend doesn't crave food any more, eating is like a chore to her, whereas I am sitting here really looking forward to my hairy biker curry. It smells amazing. And my dc are still young (oldest is 4) so I want them to grow up in an environment where we eat and enjoy healthy food, not one where mummy has to have small portions five times a day and is restricted at restaurants and parties.

FedUpOfRain · 11/10/2012 19:18

Evening! I'm finding this weather is making everything more difficult, craving more junk food and finding less time for exercise! I went to visit a friend for dinner who I haven't seen in ages and I was hoping she would notice the weight loss (I've lost over a stone now) but she didn't, so I told her and then just felt silly for some reason.
human it sounds like you have done really well!!
