We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Hi all. I'm back and ready to get on with it properly this week. I've not been eating well at all over half term and have had thoughts of packing it all in because I've had a few bad weeks Blush. I haven't put any weight back on though which is better than when I've 'given up' before. So here I go again, I WILL eat healthily this week and I WILL lose at least 2lbs this week.

icb well done for getting off the loo and doing the lecture. I bet you were brilliant.

I need to lose 2lbs to take me to overweight rather than obese, so that's my aim this week.

Joiningthegang · 05/11/2012 20:22

Weigh in this morning 205lbs - so about 50 to lose - wish me luck!

TheHumancatapult · 05/11/2012 21:13

Maths

Think half term is a tricky time and look at the long term seems you made sensible choices

Joining dive on in we're all doing our own thing diet wise but learning that it's not a quick fix it's about making changes ti lifestyle and relation to food and healthy

TheHumancatapult · 05/11/2012 21:14

You can do it joining keep posting even if a bad week as found support is fab on here

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 05/11/2012 21:38

Gah! Lost control at child's party and ate lots of crisps and rubbish (and a large glass of wine). Now starving but I reckon I will still be under 1,500 cals if I don't eat anything else today.

Good luck maths my BMi is 30.6 so I'm hoping to 'just' be overweight by the end of November.

Nice to meet you joining. I'm trying to lose about 50 too (i was 191 lb and have lost about 12 lb so far). I'm trying to unlearn a lifetime of bad habits.

Gah!(again) just noticed those mn fuckers are advertising a microwave brownie in a mug as their recipe of the week. I'm normally a savoury binger but that sounds tempting.

isthiswhatitfeelslike · 06/11/2012 02:43

Meh so much for the fast! Bought some honey wheat bread from a friend and consumed 4 slices of it with butter and honey. Obviously my body craves carbs when I try to fast!!

TheHumancatapult · 06/11/2012 05:29

Is this

Think I would find eating well /healthy far to tricky switching between the two as your body used to food it craves it more . In low /carbine /low calories ( around 800 a day due to my circumstances as otherwise that low not recommended ) but for the first 2/3 weeks it was bloody hard work I craved food and couple times when given in could not eat as much . Nowadays days I'm pretty full on it is normally iykwim but that's not to say I get the odd craving

TheHumancatapult · 06/11/2012 05:31

Every time I broke it took another week to get over the cravings for carbs /food . So now I can't afford to break it am going dig up every but of my stubbornness and push ready for my holiday

Youcanringmybell · 06/11/2012 07:26

Yes Human That is true. I stick to 1000 xals a day and do get used to that. Then I get all cocky and have a day off and consume 2000 cals a day and then find it very hard to be back on the 1000,

That is why I did a fast day yesterday. Rip the plaster off quick. I had a bit than I wanted to have I had an apple, 2 x50cal yoghurts and some veg in ww korma sauce. So 500 cals max. Today will be 1200 cals I think.

cookieowner · 06/11/2012 10:57

Hi , i was away at the weekend so only just got back on here ,
ive lost another pound this week so down to 12st 7 thats 17lbs so far
im not sure what next weeks weigh iin will bring though as ate out 3 tmes while i was away but did try not to go overboard and working it out didnt have more than 2000 a day

well done everyone else

ICBINEG · 06/11/2012 11:49

I have been horrified by the effects of eating a snack sized milkyway (post halloween). Basically the moment you swallow your brain is begging, pleading, demanding another one.

I couldn't believe the strength of the sensation. Will definitely be avoiding such triggers for a while. Also the sugar seems to give me a hangover these days :(

isthiswhatitfeelslike · 06/11/2012 19:07

Good point about the retraining your body. I think I ended up having about 1300 cals yesterday which was meant to be a total fast!! I've left the bread at home as I sleep away tonight so I'm not tempted.

Back to my normal breakfast of flatbread, hummus, and turkey which keeps me full for about 6 hours. I usually skip lunch then have supper of chicken breast and veg and then a small dessert (either bread and honey or a couple of snack size chocs).

ICB I'm totally with you about the slippery slope of those snack size things!! I need at least two which I set aside for the day. Still less than eating a full size bar and feel naughty opening and consuming two packages so feel like I'm tricking myself Grin

Joiningthegang · 06/11/2012 20:14

I agree - if I start the day with refined carbs I am hungry all day, if I eat refined carbs in the evening I am starving in the morning. Not touched any for nearly a week and not feeling too hungry (or desperate for bread) if I had a crust of a child's toast I think it could lead to a mental toast binge!

Goonatic · 06/11/2012 22:21

Hello loooooosers. Resisted the dominoes temptation tonight and refused toblerone, Yeay!
Made quorn chilli and spaghetti and had a small sprinkling of Parmesan yum.

youcan and I were discussing what we all look like, obv I know what she looks like but was tempted to suggest that we all agree to put a pic up for about an hour, what do we think am just a nosy bastard?

Also is anyone up for a meet up? And (not short of requests tonight!) youcan said she might do a post detailing how much we have all lost some can work out a group loss...could be a huge amount, could in fact be a whole one of us!!!!

And, what about if we ........no only joking, that's it!

TheHumancatapult · 06/11/2012 23:09
