We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Fab achievement ICBINEG
I however have had a rubbish week so far. Have had a virus so comfort eating took precedence Blush
Fresh start this morning though, still 2 stone to loose - have been put on anti-inflammatories for reactive arthritis, maybe all the fat is really just inflammation?? Grin

ICBINEG · 01/11/2012 12:27

viruses are such bastards! supposedly you should feel off your food but I never do....I always seem to eat through the damn things.

I still have more than 2 stone to go also.

heh. when I started on this diet DH plus 11kg of DD didn't even quite balanced me on the see-saw in the park....now we are as unbalanced as is possible as DH and I weight the same....but hopefully when I get done with this (another 15kg down the line) me plus DD will be a good balance for DH for at least a few years...

that and no more back hamsters...these are my motivators for the week [hgrin]

FedUpOfRain · 01/11/2012 14:53

Thats great ICBINEG well done!! Back hamsters are a motivation for me too. I thought they had gone until I went into a horribly well-lit changing room with mirrors at every angle, and discovered they are still there, just a bit smaller... Think I hate them the most.

isthiswhatitfeelslike · 01/11/2012 16:56

What on earth is a back hamster!! Confused

dancinginthemoonlight · 01/11/2012 17:53

Bridesmaid dress fitting for my very skinny sisters wedding. She is a size 8 and all the other bridesmaids are size 8/10 inc one who models and the other who is a semi prof volleyball player.....not looking forward to it..

FedUpOfRain · 01/11/2012 18:42

Back hamsters - the roll of fat you get on the sides of your back. Lovely reference, I know!
dancing when is the wedding? It's nice to have something to aim for and I bet you will look gorgeous. I am a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding next summer so I know the feeling!

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 18:48

Wow well done Icb. And yup I agree on knocker front I reckon mine must account for couple lbs each

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 18:52

Been odd week for me have avoided over eating and stuck to ot but with no excerscise due to bad shoulder it's been a struggle and have craved crap and felt hungry and miserable .

Roll on Daturday when hopefully should be able start back up but gently . I will be that 14 stone by Jan . On good news front I given up and thrown my big stuff out and brought some size 16Grin which fit nicely with no tummy bulge even with sitting but not brought to much as I'm determined to get to that magical size 12

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 19:03

Am nervours but more determined than ever as our flight details came through means it's now less than 11 months !!

dancinginthemoonlight · 01/11/2012 19:47

It's on 4th Dec.fitting is my first and only :-/ . It would be ok if everyone else wasn't wasp like lol. Still not much I can do now...

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 20:44

Dancing

Same issue my step sisters and my foster sisters all between a size 6 and a size 10 without a effort either I'm the heffalump of the family always will be I suspect

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 01/11/2012 21:05

Halloween party was a success, had 9 kids under four causing havoc! I was a bit naughty but actually not too bad, probably ate the equivalent of two packets of Pom bears whereas a couple of months ago I would've eaten 6 packets just while I was preparing food in the kitchen. I'm trying not to get angry with myself for eating pizza, cake and biscuits as I only ate small portions but it's still a lot of calories. I'm now hungry because I had a tiny dinner to compensate for such a large lunch. Think I might go to bed soon.

Hope your shoulder gets better human But it's good to throw big clothes away. I find it really motivating to be able to buy smaller clothes. I have been on eBay bidding for size 14 clothes as I don't want to spend too much on what i hope is a temporary wardrobe.

icb love the expression back hamsters, have never heard it before. My bugbear is my stomach after dd2. And I will never understand why so many jeans are low cut or hipster styles. I like my muffin top safely contained and hidden.

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 21:18

Yup even with just transferring they to big st a size 22/24 and it did feel good I am never going back there again

ICBINEG · 02/11/2012 09:38

So technically back hamsters are what you get from having an industrial strength bra on that makes bulges both either side of the back band and, if the bra is big enough one, in the middle of the band too. Blush

The blobbily bits above the pelvis on your back already have the name love handles I thought....but on the basis they are somewhat bigger than back hamsters I could live with back gerbils? and then the enormous flobble on the front due to 9lb 9oz baby will be known as the weasel...

tiggy114 · 02/11/2012 10:00

Feel like a moan. My kids are being obnoxious. 9 yo is selfish and cheeky. 2 yo is tantruming. My oh walks off while i'm talking to him which leaves me feeling unppreciated. He makes himself cuppas and not me. I'm stuck at home all day with the kids then last night he comes home and works in the office till gone 8pm so i basically did a 13 hour day without a break. Then i took my bath, the only quiet time i get in the day, and he went in office again so i had to have toddler in bath with me. I ended up rowing with him this morning shouting stuff like "arghh i'm only good for cleaning. You all use me" which was a bit over the top but i'm so fed up. And toddler has decided after months, to pick up breastfeeding again and is using me like a milk bar. Does anyone else get shit days like this? It's not that bad, i'm just fed up. Lol.

ICBINEG · 02/11/2012 10:07

Blush to be honest I think I am the unappreciative other half that would very much like to hide a way and not help with the toddler when I get back from work....I will be extra nice to DH this evening!

I think I am also guilty of the cuppa thing. Well we don't do hot drinks but at dinner I tend to get the toddler water and then think oh yeah Ill be BFing so I need water and then leave DH to fend for himself Blush. I think I forgot to wash up last night too...

Dh is currently cutting me massive slack on account of shock over my DM being so ill but I certainly shouldn't take him for granted.

Well your rant will have had an effect although that won't help you as such....maybe one day the karma will flow in the other direction :)

tiggy114 · 02/11/2012 10:15

Lol icbeg. Well somethings come good of my shit day anyway. I feel better writing it on here actually. I am over reacting. Toddler is ill and hubby loves us lots but it just gets on top of you sometimes. I wish i was at work really i think but it's not an option at the moment.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 03/11/2012 17:24

Hello guys, hope you're having a good weekend. I have done ok for once on a Saturday but I'm going out tomorrow so might not be so good.

Dh has noticed he has lost a few pounds "for no reason". Must be all the low cal meals I am serving him! Wish I could just notice I've lost weight without trying! He hasn't noticed my weight loss and that is very annoying.

tiggy I hope you're having a better day.

isthiswhatitfeelslike · 03/11/2012 22:51

Hope things are going well for everyone.

Yesterday had my first day of eating lots, was meant to be a "treat" night as had a movie marathon with my little sis, we ordered pizza and made brownies. I ate about 2,000 cals yesterday, felt very overindulgent after my pattern of eating between 700-1200. Hopefully won't mess up the weight loss too much this week. I found the pizza very addictive, I didn't even want any in the beginning but when I started it was quite hard to stop. Weird feeling.

Weigh in on Monday, hoping for another loss! Smile

TheHumancatapult · 04/11/2012 06:19

Johnny

It's a pita when no one notices took till over 4 stone had gone before anyone did for me

Is this

Sounds like good night was had must admit if mine eat pizza I have to go upstairs away from it as I not stop at one slice

Doing ok here am just trying to convince nyself to get out of bed to try fit some excerscise in before kids wake and listening to the rain I'm not convinced. Be easier Fron tomorrow as dc back at school . Have had a child at home for last month thanks to chickenpoxs

Goonatic · 04/11/2012 19:21

Hello all, I have been shit this week and last week, I have realised that I am not hardcore at all while on half term, I need thin people around me to look at and aspire to! So. Wll be ashamed at weigh in tomorrow but will try and turn it into some kickarse motivation.....
dancing I bet you are totally gorgeous and the other bridesmaids look like silly rakes with skeletal faces. Wink
I must weigh DH and make his weight my target... He is 6ft 4 so as I currently weigh more than him that would be a good goal!

Missed you all actually, must try harder!
ichbineg any news on your mum?
tiggy mine are 10 and just 4 so I feel your pain. Hope little one gets better soon, mine has just started coughing...... Nooooooooo!

FedUpOfRain · 04/11/2012 20:24

Evening! I've had a bit of a mixed week - first half was rubbish food wise but I have been better as the week went on. Not sure what to expect at weigh in tomorrow.
Going swimming next weekend with a friend and it will be the first time I have been in a swimming costume in 2 1/2 years, eeek!!

TheHumancatapult · 04/11/2012 21:06

Goon

I find half term hard work !! Even working out has gone to pot here then find there's another friggibg inset day I already had one or other or both of over a month thanks to chickenpox's and half term

TheHumancatapult · 05/11/2012 04:50

Yawns morning about to so some yoga

4lb down Grin bit based on that am going to revise my goals . Orginal plan was 15 stone by Xmas then changed as got nearer it to 14 stone by Jan 1st but changing it again to 13.7 by Jan 1st ( allowing for fact I'm away 5 days in Dec plus Xmas )

Am now 14.3 so lost 81lb so far Need loose another 59lb

Youcanringmybell · 05/11/2012 07:37

Oh HUMAN you are so AMAZING!!!
Your target is totally achievable for someone so motivated to do it! Well done.

Well half termis also my downfalll apparently.

For the third/ fourth week running I am pretty much the same. Well I lost a grand total of 0.2 lbs....but ate so many biscuits/ chocolate and had a curry so am really quite amazed.

This week I will get into the 170's lbs and into the 12stones if I push and concentrate.

I need to do it. FAST day today Smile
