We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Owns up I did the typo this morning but blame it on early start and no coffee Blush

TheHumancatapult · 29/10/2012 19:18

Isthis same here I'm between 800-1000 calories a day to take into account my personal circumstances and certainly not put my body into starvation mode though some days my mind may disagree

TheHumancatapult · 29/10/2012 19:22

Ic

Yiu not brought down at all this so much more than diet thread is supporting how we eat and how things going on affect our relation with food so let it all out and food wise do what ever you need to get through it ( lost my dad to Cancer fed years back do understand to well

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 29/10/2012 22:09

icb sorry to hear your news, please don't worry about changing the tone of the thread, our emotions and feelings are such a large part of why we we're here, and if it helps you to get things off your chest here then don't feel inhibited.

Hello maggot. It's nice to 'meet' another new person.

ICBINEG · 29/10/2012 22:55

Thank you all for the support and so sorry to hear so many have had similar experiences. It's just a total bastard isn't it?

Talk went well though...bizarre how your brain compartmentalizes.

Youcanringmybell · 31/10/2012 17:15

So'ok thread's not dead yet. I am too ashamed to join the thread properly at the moment having been a non dieter for nearly three weeks. However, I am doing myf irst fast day today and all is well Grin

I am now on the 4:3 and will try to stick to it until I reach 12 stone!!

FedUpOfRain · 31/10/2012 17:26

youcan what are you eating on the low cal days? I'm interested to give it a go. I have decided that I will have no wine throughout November and I'm a bit ashamed to admit I will find it difficult. I want to have a really good month, so things are looking good for my the Christmas parties. Also holding of the baileys until the 1st of December!
This makes me sound like I have a problem...

emonslemons · 31/10/2012 19:27

i have nt been eating very well this week, i feel lame! its only week 2! arghhhh!!!!

emonslemons · 31/10/2012 19:29

fedup - it doesnt sound like you have a prob any more than the chocoholics - its all about sugar wether alcohol or otherwise!

dancinginthemoonlight · 31/10/2012 20:30

have my dress fitting on sat and very unlikely to reach my goal unless i lose 6lb this week. given i have eaten a chinese for tea, thats not likely...

FedUpOfRain · 31/10/2012 20:32

A wedding dress fitting?

Youcanringmybell · 31/10/2012 20:44

fedup today I have had a pear, some cooked rice and boiled egtables and lolly from trick or treating and a hot choc. I reckon 400- 500 cals.

I am going to have a good day tomorrow 1200 cals and long walk hopefully and do fast day on friday. I shall so mon/wed/fri for November and see how I am getting on! Maybe drop to 5:2 if I find it too hard x

rachel1982 · 31/10/2012 22:14

Hello, Has anyone heard of calorie girl? she provides great tips of what foods look like e.g. 100 kcals of cheese is the size of a matchbox etc?! really interesting and has helped me loads as its lots of visuals. Website is www.caloriegirl.co.uk and the facebook account is www.facebook.com/caloriegirl. Shes a Dietitian :-)

isthiswhatitfeelslike · 01/11/2012 00:22

I'm here - eaten about 5 chocs for Halloween but my meals were very small today so still only ended up with 920 cals. This is the longest (8 days) I've gone without eating over 1300 calories so I'm very pleased with myself. I think my stomach has shrunk as I can go several hours between meals even when eating a much smaller amount than before. Smile

Keep up the good work ladies!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 01/11/2012 03:29

Hello all. I finally got round to buying a slow cooker so can't wait to make some nice casseroles and soups.

Stressed now as I have 7 kids coming round in 7 hours for a Halloween party. Is it me or has Halloween become as much about indulgence and gluttony as Christmas? I have an absolute ton of chocolate eyes and haribo sweets. So far I have just eaten one packet of Halloween themed Pom bears, but we have a cake and a friend has made some decorated biscuits so let's hope my willpower lasts.

Well done isthis 8 days is such a big achievement. I find I can go longer between meals too and don't really snack. but a house full of kids tomorrow may make me eat my own body weight in sweets

TheHumancatapult · 01/11/2012 05:28

Yikes Jonny

Must admit we have house full of sweets to but fortunate its savoury stuff I prefer ( cheese sausage rolls egc which I'm not eating either Sad

ICBINEG · 01/11/2012 09:50

I am cackling madly to myself today as I just did a cheeky midweek weigh and I now finally weight less than DH. Okay okay so he is a couple of inches taller than me (okay 4) but it doesn't have enormous knockers....

Anyway another milestone reached. I am so excited to be finally making a serious difference in my life!

Youcanringmybell · 01/11/2012 11:38

Definately a brilliant achievement when you weigh less than your husband...I got pretty close for a while and my husband is 6ft 2in. Bloody hell Blush
