Well done gandt
Try ripped in 30. It's like shred but I prefer it. Takes slightly longer though.
Thanks for the hints on back stretches.
I'm going for a sports massage this arvo Grin

twinkle1010 · 31/08/2012 11:02

Just completed day five of SHRED and ordered ripped in 30/killer buns and thighs (£13.99 on Play with free delivery if anyone is interested.)

I think the test will come next week when Im back at work, going to try and get up at 6am to do it before work. Im already dreading it!!

BalloonSlayer · 31/08/2012 12:03

Well done Ginnifer!

I've just finished Level 2 and did all of it for the first time. (well, I did "Anita" squat thrusts cos I just can't do 'em)

Start L3 tomorrow or Sunday. gulp. I seem to remember doing jumping jacks with the weights which nearly killed me. I think I might employ a couple of tins for that bit [puny emoticon]

sweetkitty · 31/08/2012 13:01

Well done Ginnifer

Good luck with level 3 balloonslayer

Back to it today day 8 level 2 not really into it today think its because I have the cold. Feel dog rough.

xelliex · 31/08/2012 19:27

Officially finished level 3 shred yesterday, I'm getting ripped in a few weeks but I'm not sure what to do in the meantime. I've been trying to do NMTZ every few days and I think I'll just keep on shredding and hope it still has some effect.

I did all three levels today and for all level 1 seemed alot easier I could still only manage about 5 pushups before I had to switch to the modifed version....definitely need to work on my upper body strength.

sweetkitty · 01/09/2012 20:54

Well done xelliex

Day 9 level 2 here, much better than yesterday, totally over on my fitness pal though courtesy of a birthday BBQ & chocolates.

GeekLove · 02/09/2012 09:55

Have been doing more BFBM: went out last night and am appalled that Jagerbombs are more than 200 calories each Shock
Still I just about burnt them off dancing like I was a student again
Will do NMTZ today.

Greedygirl · 02/09/2012 16:44

Well done to those of you who have just completed Shred! A good milestone. I recommend Ripped.

I have had a lazy weekend apart from a very leisurely 3 mile walk (everything takes 3x as long with a 4yo boy!). AND I went to cinema and ate an entire bag of aero bubbles to myself! Oh well, back to work/school next week so hopefully will be too busy to graze and will just have to get workouts in early in the day - I never manage to do it later. Am contemplating going for a run...

Greedygirl · 02/09/2012 16:45

Geek love Grin at the jagger bombs and dancing, sounds like you had a good time

ihatethecold · 02/09/2012 19:30

I did level 3 of ripped on Friday. It nearly finished me off. It's really starting to hurt my back.
Even in the warm up my back is twingeing.
It's not good. Sad

3monkeys · 02/09/2012 19:46

Did level 3 shred tonight whileI wait for 6W6P to arrive. Really hard work!! Looking forward to a change

xelliex · 02/09/2012 20:53

Did level 3 shred yesterday and NMTZ tonight. Aching nicely now!

ihatethecold · 02/09/2012 21:04

Whats NMTZ like?
Is it similar to shred and ripped?
Thanks

xelliex · 02/09/2012 22:05

Not really, it's all strength training/toning. There's no cardio apart from the warm up. It's about 40 minutes long, there's 7 circuits so you can choose to do as much or as little as you want.

I like it as I only do cardio at the gym so it gets me doing something I'd otherwise never do. At the gym I'm just far too lazy to adjust all the machines to do any sort of weight training!

notyummy · 02/09/2012 22:45

Loving the jäger bombs talk!

On long weekend break. DH and I did NMTZ together before we left on Friday. Did a long run yesterday morning and then we dud L1 6w6P plus skins pilates this morning. Another run tomorrow morning. Lots of eating and drinking going on, but also lots of walking so fingers crossed not too much damage...

GeekLove · 02/09/2012 23:07

It was a good night out thank! Partying like it was 1995!
Still managed 3 circuits of NMTZ today - am aiming to do less NMTZ and more BFBM this week for a bit more cardio. It is depressing how much calories booze has though.

ihatethecold · 03/09/2012 08:10

Ok. Can any JM experts do a list of the DVDs and what they are like
Eg. Shred= 20 mins of cardio/strength and abs
Thanks I know it's cheeky Grin but I want to get more DVDs and lose track of what people are taking about

BalloonSlayer · 03/09/2012 09:12

Uuuurgh just did Day 1 of Level 3.

I never liked it so I haven't done it for aaaaaages, so I had forgotten most of it.

But by using tins instead of weights at times and "doing Anita" I did manage to do it all except one set of scissor things - which I would have managed if I'd done them Anita-style, I had my legs too low Sad - so 29/30 for me.

I was pleased though that thanks to 6W6P, I now know how to do mountain climbers properly. I remember when I first did L3 I couldn't manage them and was sort of doing those spotty dog things from aerobics while in the plank position, making terribly heavy weather of it and exhausting myself. Now I've cracked them they are a lot easier Grin

Totallycluelessmum · 03/09/2012 11:23

Newbie joining you all, hope that's OK Smile
Am just 3lb off my target weight but my body doesn't look ANYTHING like it looked when I was last this weight Confused ...too many dimples, bulges and wobbly bits...age and sloth are terrible things, sob!
Anyway I did Day 1, level 1 today and I kept up (just) although not sure my knees and the floorboards are up to it!
In another 29 days I WILL be shredded.

sweetkitty · 03/09/2012 12:49

Hello all

Day 1 of Level 3 for me today, spent most of it trying to coordinate myself into what they are doing, I am doing a mix of Natalie ans Anita. Think my thighs will be sore tomorrow though.

trumpton · 03/09/2012 16:16

Day 1 level 2. Eeek. Sweating hard but didn't stop. Did easier level of plank jacks .

salemsparklys · 03/09/2012 18:33

Started last night and although it kicked my ass after an hr at the gym i loved it, day 2 tonight, just back from the gym so will see how i do

catgirl · 03/09/2012 18:38

hello - another newbie.... have been reading these threads for ages and have finally ordered the dvd - am going to have to get up at 6am I think otherwise I won't find the time.... will I be able to work afterwards?? Seriously, will I?

twinkle1010 · 03/09/2012 19:26

Im now on day 8 of Shred level one and still really unfit although I can feel myself getting a little bit better. Still crap at press ups though!!

catgirl · 03/09/2012 20:32

Twinkle - how bad did you feel after doing day 1?
