Well, week 15 of Bootcamp has just ended. But the support and banter will continue! I, for one, am carrying on for the next couple of weeks until my holiday, in the hope that I can drop another pound or so before I go.

There have been some brilliant losses in the last two weeks, so I'm hoping that you'll all be sticking with it too!

Same here tea
My ds1 is 9 too.

mummyduff · 03/08/2012 20:30

Just have to say whilst the rest of my family had fish and chips, I had steamed haddock and green beans, feeling rather smugGrin

Badvoc · 03/08/2012 20:34

Am starting the Atkins induction tomorrow....please post any tips/advice/dos and donts.
Gulp...

TeamGBIWI · 03/08/2012 20:37

Tips - plan your meals ahead! Make sure you know where you are going to be and what you can have to eat.

If you are doing Atkins, then you will have to weigh all your veg/salad to make sure you are within the 20g carbs. 20g isn't much, so you will have to be really vigilant about it.

(I have written a spreadsheet for the Bootcamp allowed veg, which will work it out for you - if you want me to send it to you, drop me a PM.)

Remember to keep your fat levels up!

And, above all, good luck!

(Personally I think you'd find it easier doing Bootcamp, but I wish you luck anyway!)

Thanks tea. I think the approach is exactly where I'm heading with dd. I've also stopped juice and it's water or milk, and I think that less pasta and bread, cakes, biscuits, etc. can only be a good thing. It's scary how dependent on pasta I had become to feed my family.

But I'm also blw my smallest, so that will be interesting, as I was quite scared of meat with dd, but smallest has already had roast chicken and a lamb cutlet slice! She loved it!

teaandthorazine · 03/08/2012 21:12

Oh, we were absolutely a pasta-reliant household too! Pasta, bread, rice, potatoes - no meal complete without them. We weren't very good with veg either, except peas and carrots [blush

teaandthorazine · 03/08/2012 21:13

Pressed send too early...

anyway, that's why the 'ooooh, I couldn't give up my carbs' brigade really make me Hmm - if I've done it, anyone can, believe me!

Badvoc · 03/08/2012 21:47

BIWI
Can you PM me the boot camp rules?
How long is boot camp for?
Obv haven't been paying attention have I? :)

Thanks for all advice, a much better day today with no snacks and no cheats! Only actually measured a couple of days ago, not at start, so I know I'll need to be a bit more patient. Will check in again after holiday.

TeamGBIWI · 03/08/2012 22:14

Badvoc · 04/08/2012 08:56

Wow!
Even with all my illness and cheating this week I have still lost a kilo since last Saturday!
Am amazed!
Am really going to go for it this week...and see what the scales say next week!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 04/08/2012 09:12

Ilovemyteddy, that is amazing! Well done you! How long has that taken?

I am happy - the scales moved! Down 1.25lbs to 10 stone 5.75. I am nearly at my first stone - only three quarters of a pound to go!

B is going to be Nigella's Mexican scrambled eggs minus the chopped tortillas, I think. Eggs scrambled with a chopped tomato, spring onion and chilli, mmm! I usually add grated cheese as well.

Badvoc · 04/08/2012 09:20

Egg and bacon for me too today for breakfast.
Not sure about lunch.
Dinner will be veg and meat or meatballs

Badvoc · 04/08/2012 09:20

Well done too!
How long has that taken?

Jins · 04/08/2012 09:23

Well done ilove. Grin. We definitely need to see photos

sybilfaulty · 04/08/2012 09:27

Am feeling very wobbly of tum and a bit bloated today. Need to have 2 really good days before I weigh on monday.

Breakfast was smoked salmon and cream cheese. Yum.

Does anyone know how to make cheese sauce using Philly? I shall check the recipe thread.

Well done to all the losers. Great stuff.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 04/08/2012 09:32

Badvoc, it's taken nearly 8 weeks, but I did quite a lot of cheating in there so it could probably have been faster.

MrsOnYourMarksGetSetPoirot · 04/08/2012 09:41

Wow well done ilove! And all the other losers!

Back from France - 6 lbs on this morning. I have one week before we're off to France again for two weeks! Should be easier next time around though for various reasons and we have a pool next time so I plan to swim lots.

HumphreyCobbler · 04/08/2012 10:00

hello everyone

it wasn't a fluke! another 28 day cycle!!!! Hardly any PMS! No bloating!

And I fit into all my holiday clothes!!!!!
