Well done Slim and Choc! Have a spotty banana to share! Grin

Bee and I might be in the corner of shame but by mid-September we will both be lithe and winsome, dontcha know Wink

Thanks for the encouraging words girls. I'm just frustrated with myself. The last time I was a decent weight I was 19. Ten whole years of piggery and its still not sorted Sad I am just cross with myself. But you are right of course - new decade, new start Smile

Ugh gained 3.5lb in 2 wks / a week in the sun and a weekend off take aways contributed to that. Started well today :)

B: apple and plum
L: not a lot, more fruit cos was @ soft play and they just had rubbish so glad I had packed fruit for me :)
D: speed curry with chicken & boiled rice :)

Heaps of fruit and heB is 2 rocky road Hifi bars. HeA is milk for coffee.

Had a lovely day with my sister today, she looked great, had so much positivity in her she really truly did my heart good. She's keen to keep kids in their routine, she's just amazing!

Well done slimmers!

Jodie - it truly does help to know people are thinking of us and what we're coping with. Sis is a v private person & doesn't cope with the fact that people know she's ill - but is very very grateful for all thoughts and prayers. Thank you all - I was told I'd be surprised where my support would come from - but I always knew I'd get it here in this nest of vipers Wink hissssss

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me popping in.....

I have a slimming world question. I currently attend a group, but have missed the last 2weeks. Anyway, I'm pregnant and want to carry on with the plan. I understand I just need to get my midwife to sign a sort of consent form, is this correct? Also, does the diet change in anyway when your pregnant (ie do you have extra healthy extras) or is it the same? My next group isn't until Tuesday. Thanks in advance!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/08/2012 14:01

Hiya! Congratulations!!

Yes, your consultant will give you a form for your midwife to sign. Sw is perfectly safe during pregnancy, particularly if you've gained a lot in previous pregnancies.

You can have extra healthy extras - I think it's 3 a day but I need to double check!

grinningbee · 16/08/2012 14:17

FHF Hello! Glad your sis is looking well and keeping positive. As for gaining
3.5lb on HOLIDAY, tut tut Wink

My pre-op health check thingy was supposed to be this afternoon. Got a call this morning to say it's cancelled. Boo. I'd got all worked up as well.

Oh well!

bumponboardagain · 16/08/2012 16:33

Thank you fairhaired . 3 extra he's sounds good, do you know if its a or b? Yes, have gained a fair bit in previous pregnancies and I'm starting off at a higher weight than my previous pregnancies also, so want to keep my weight under control to avoid any complications.

SlimJimBra · 16/08/2012 19:16

Hi Bump - you can have 2 hexAs and 2hexBs when pg, your consultant should give you a booklet about sw and pg/bf-ing when you go to group.
Hi everyone else, I'm writing this standing over my oven with a pizza in it Shock I caved in on the way home from work :( I blame the miserable weather.

SlimJimBra · 16/08/2012 19:19

Bump- That's on extra easy plan by the way, I don't know about green/red days as I don't do those!

bumponboardagain · 16/08/2012 20:19

Thanks slim that sounds really good. I prefer the extra easy so sounds quite manageable :)

FairhairedandFrustrated · 18/08/2012 21:58

Hi all, where is everyone? Are you all off enjoying real life? :)

Yes 2 of A choice and 2 of B choice when pregnant on EE - apart from that there's nothing else different, it's just simple healthy eating.

Have had a good couple of days. Have just had the zinger burger (except I had it as goujons) with sw chips & salad.

Was out shopping today and DH & kids wanted Subway - I was delighted to see that I can have a salad bowl with no bread - all fresh salad, cooked chicken etc.... I hope there was nothing in thr chicken to use syns as the salad was all free!

Dinner was more chicken - zinger style chicken with sw chips. mmm

Have a fruit salad chopped up but am so full after dinner that it'll keep for tomorrow's breakfast.

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/08/2012 08:56

12,12 I fit into my size 12's!!!!!!!!

Just bouncing round the room like Tigger!

Thought a dress I tried earlier in the week was a one off, so tried on other clothes today and YES! they fit!

And the best thing is I don't have many size 12's so will just HAVE to go shopping for new clothes Grin

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/08/2012 08:58

And hello everyone (sorry was too excited and forgot to say before)

FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/08/2012 09:44

Yay!!! Best feeling ever!!

Weil done!! :)

SlinkyB · 19/08/2012 09:46

Well done choc! Best feeling ever, hey? Grin

I'm tired and hungover; had another of my mini hen nights last night, which was great fun.

Fancy nipping over to mine and making me some of that zinger chicken stuff FHF?

SlinkyB · 19/08/2012 09:48

Ha, x-posts fhf. Great minds think alike.

JodieHarsh · 19/08/2012 10:03

Good morning dahlinks!

Sorry for being AWOL. AGAIN. I am rubbish!

I do have a fairly good excuse on account of being a tiny bit on the pregnant side. W00t! I am stunned (long termers on the thread will know I've been losing weight sometimes on my GP's command preparing for a fertility treatment referral this autumn), and thrilled, and veer between being scared to have a poo in case it drops out and totally forgetting and getting told off by DH for turning the mattress Grin

I feel absolutely fine, other than a little tired, but then I would in this weather. It is very early days yet, so I'm not counting my chicks, but yes. Good News.

Still intending to lose weight, and I imagine it should happen since although I'm not the sort to panic about prawns and goat's cheese and that, I shan't be able to indulge in my old boozy ways, so we'll see what gives. I won't make my booking in appointment for another 2 or 3 weeks, and by the time I'm weighed I'd really like to be a little trimmer so I don't get torn off a strip and told I'm going to kill my baby with Gestational Diabetes or something. Er, can you tell I'm a big vague about this stuff?!

Blimey though. what a year eh?! I won't out myself here, but if you knew the sheer range of massive life changes that have happened in the last 6 months and are going to happen in the next 6 months you would. Er. Well, be mildly interested Grin

Happy eating everyone. Hope you're enjoying the suns. I'm editing and studying today so alas, no Vit D for me!

SlinkyB · 19/08/2012 11:33

OMG!! Massive massive congratulations Jodie!! That's such fantastic news - am thrilled for you! Grin Grin

Also forgot to say congratulations and welcome to bumponboardagain - looks like you two could be the pregnant Doomers and stick together hey? Will be good to have each other for help and support I guess?

Jod - you never did say how your best mate's wedding went?

SlimJimBra · 19/08/2012 11:53

Wow Jodie congratulations!!!! :o :o :o :o
And congratulations Choc on the size 12 :o :o

FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/08/2012 14:31

Awwww Jodie!!! Brilliant!!!!

I'm sure there was another pregnant doomer a while ago? Where are yoooouu???

Jodie, take it easy :) (squeeze)

FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/08/2012 14:33

By the way Jodie, reading another thread recently, I think we may be in the same line of work?

Though I've not interviewed famous people unless you count Ian Paisley and the guy from an American Christian group..... I'm more of a local news girl. (And I may have it entirely wrong!)

JodieHarsh · 19/08/2012 16:56

FHF have replied (I think!) elsewhere!

Everyone is being really really kind. Thanks ever so :) :)

Slinky the wedding was amazing. Am. Az. Ing. No-one seemed to mind there being chocolate fridge cake for a wedding cake - they were cramming it in getting terribly chocolatey chins, and no-one ever knew (apart from the 30 or so people I told Hmm) that it was supposed to be nice elegant brownies.

Someone took a picture of me that when posted on FB was constantly remarked on as being very bosomy, and I looked at it and thought blimey, those are bigger than I realised. Well - now we know why! Although come to think of it I'm not sure they'd've got that much bigger about 4 days past ovulation. Perhaps I just have massive tits Grin

I hope you're all enjoying the weather. I am stuck inside studying like I always bloody am.

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/08/2012 18:02

jodie I knew you'd HAVE to tell your news! Thank god, I was struggling to keep it a secret so decided not to post full stop. Congrats again.

Clodaghdragonfly · 19/08/2012 19:25

whoop whoop Jodie. Massively (literally Wink) thrilled for you.Grin

hello all. I have returned from the family holiday from hell. And I have only gained 2lb since my last WI 2 weeks ago, despite having one of my lovely never ending TOTMs.

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/08/2012 19:52
