The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions.
The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Please feel free to join us. We are friendly, supportive and successful but we're not hungry!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!

Thank you hey, ok till next time. White wine ok, gin ok, but no lemon in tonic! Just made lime vodka, the sorrow, the sorrow. Fruit tea sounds wonderful as long as no citrus?

Cakes pretty disastrous. But nephew, Ds and dh don't seem to have quality control button, fortunately.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/04/2012 23:36

Spendthrift what have you got to avoid all that for? Sorry if I've missed a post somewhere!

Nonny - don't be hard on yourself. I do think that the nearer you are to 'ideal' weight the harder it is, and I think our bodies are programmed to hang onto a bit of extra weight when we have very young children. You will get there Smile
Did you enjoy the cake? I made one for DS2's birthday and ended up eating about two thirds of it myself. Bloody delicious it was Grin

Good day today. I notice that days when I eat a really good lunch, I avoid all the mid-afternoon and early evening munchies and then only need a small dinner. Must try and remember that bit of info.

What are friendship cakes?

ppeatfruit · 04/04/2012 08:20

Morning all Smile well I'm sitting at the comp. in the kitchen next to the painted dresser with it's top lying on it. It's enclosed so heavy (I wanted to get it all done by the time DH gets back from working in Cannes tonight) and we'll have to do it together tomorrow.

What are they sols? They sound nice Grin

MardyBra · 04/04/2012 10:25

Solo friendship cakes = scary feckers

MardyBra · 04/04/2012 10:28

Doing ok this week. It's handy that I'm off with the kids at the moment and don't have to fit food around work commitments - I usually end up having breakfast even when not hungry because I know I can't eat until lunchtime most days.

Thinking of you kinky.

MardyBra · 04/04/2012 10:30

Btw, I am very good at the eating what I want to eat bit of Pauling. Never had any problems with that! It's the stopping bit that's tricky. Grin

Sorry about multiple posts - keep thinking of other things to say.

KinkyDorito · 04/04/2012 12:52

Lord, I am bored today. We are trapped indoors because DD is too neutropenic to go out. It's also snowed all over my new fecking flowers that took the weekend, and a small fortune, to get and plant.

I definitely think you should write and ask for my lottery win Hey. I will treat you all to PMK seminar! As long as the lusters promise not to try and lick his legs or anything Grin.

So broody at the moment. Please remind me that having a baby would wreak chaos in my already crazy world...

I hope your mum is okay spend. It sounds like you've been through it too.

My eating is still shocking. However, I have found a new counsellor over the phone (through work) who seems really good, and I'm in the process of signing up for a 'mindfulness' course. It's quite pricey, but I've read a couple of books and I do think it could help me cope a bit better.

I will start listening to PMK again soon. I do think it works. I just got knocked off kilter over the past month.

Love to you all Smile.

spendthrift · 04/04/2012 15:14

Thanks for all good wishes, she's at home with care but a heart condition that is very fragile indeed and very tired and where there is no cure. With emphysema as well, it's all a bit tricky.

the friendship cake is called Herman and mardy will remember it. I cooked three batches of it last night, and have given one away. But my oven has refused to work properly so Herman is charred.
Am not sure whether to kill Herman over Easter and then resurrect a new one as we will be away.

The answer to why no red wine, citrus etc is because the medics are trying to cure my balance problems through diet as it may be mav rather than the inconvenient though benign brain tumour they have focused on so far. Any non invasive treatment is good by me, although when pm says eat what you like, and chocolate, cheese, citrus, bacon sausages and bananas as well as red wine are prohibited, you realise only cake is left.

Kinky, I do feel for you, those white blood cells are little whatsits. We weren't in your position but had to keep Ds away from infection and then later went through the too many of the bastards as well scare.

Keep well everyone and if you can't do that, raise a glass of red..

ppeatfruit · 04/04/2012 16:27

Mardy Ref. yr thread ; think yr self lucky with Herman; My DS used to have a Kombucha mother in the corner off his room literally STINKING !!!!!!It looked like something unmentionable and it grew and grew OMG honestly!!! When we moved he took it to his next place but it has been 'lost'. He DID actually make the drink with it but I couldn't drink it, it was SOOOO acid! [shocked]

spendthrift It's good the docs are going down the dietary route; most of them couldn't give a toss about what you eat and lifestyle even though if you study the blood type like me you'd know that is to blame in the majority of illnesses.

Kinky At least its cosy indoors Smile My dresser is now standing proud 'cos our gardener man turned up and it's done ! hooray!!

Although I fancy P.M. I think his legs are not fanciable or lickeable actually (hoists bosom) I hope he's not a lurker Grin!!

KinkyDorito · 04/04/2012 17:27

So, let me get this straight, if he asked you nicely ppeat, would you deny him a licking of his legs??? Grin Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/04/2012 17:30

I think it is more likely she would lick his shiny bald head than his legs - it avoids the need to get on your knees plus it avoids contact with hairy bits. Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/04/2012 17:33

Crikey that was one image I wish I hadn't allowed to enter my mind. I feel like I need a good wash now. Smile

But then I only want him for his mind.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/04/2012 18:18

Dear god I have just eaten. WTF is the matter with you all?? EnvyEnvy

KinkyDorito · 04/04/2012 18:24

i1041.photobucket.com/albums/b415/anniem1/boys_ruf_paul_jonny.jpg

Enjoy.

Although, I would lick Rufus Sewell lots on that pic. Hmmm...

Jonny Miller looking a bit uncertain about all the full-frontal nudity.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/04/2012 18:28

Now that is more my cup of tea Grin

Johnny Lee Miller is also very hot.

KinkyDorito · 04/04/2012 18:30

It cheered me right up. Googling Mr McKenna, only to get a double whammy of a nuddy pic for the ladies of PMK combined with the hotness that is Mr Sewell all for me (and I'll let Ali have a little perv too). Yum.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/04/2012 18:36

It has made me want to watch Cold Comfort Farm. If you have not seen it and are a Rufus fan then I thoroughly recommend it.

KinkyDorito · 04/04/2012 18:57

Ooooo. Ta!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/04/2012 19:23
Wink
BigBoobiedBertha · 04/04/2012 19:42

Ah yes, now Rufus is more my style. Still wouldn't lick his legs mind, but whatever turns the rest of you on.....

JLM seems to be trying to escape. Perhaps he thinks his mind is about to be taken over or perhaps he has 'seen something nasty in the woodshed' (PMK - snigger, snigger) Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/04/2012 19:48

BBB at woodshed reference Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 04/04/2012 20:00

Gah, got that Divine Comedy song earworming its way into my head now.

'She said, there's something in the wood shed,
and I can hear it breathing,
its such and eerie feeling darling.....'

Spendthrift, glad you mother is home safely. Parents are a worry aren't they? Not sure I like this business of switching from them caring for us to us caring for them.

Good news about cake though. Smile

spendthrift · 04/04/2012 20:57

My Herman has garn down the plughole..

Solo · 05/04/2012 01:06

I'd lick his legs...Blush
