I am at the age where it is just a matter of (short) time before I develop a health problem relating to my weight - joints, Type 2 diabetes or even a heart attack. It really is that serious.
I am sick of not having any "nice" clothes (don't want to invest until I lose weight Hmm).
I did it in summer, stuck to it for ages which is something I have never managed to do. I CAN do it again.

So here's the plan. Back to foodfocus as of tomorrow. No days off (logging, although I may choose to eat more than I am "allowed". Everything must be logged.
No excessive competitiveness with myself. I truly believe this is part of the reason it all went wrong.

3 or 4 lb to lose every week. Might sound a lot but it's easy when you're big - I'm sure I could do it by just eating 3 normal sized usual meals a day. So pathetic if I can't.

Coming back here to report on progress. Caring and supportive thread but not accepting bullshit excuses!
Anyone want to join me?

Sounds like you ladies are doing well ! Ive lost 2lb again this week and am not as hungry as last week. On a brighter note Im finding its when I sit on my bum when I come home from work that I go prowling for food so all the little odd jobs and the decorating weve been doing for six years are finally getting my attention. Occupied mind is a not stuffing my face with everything that isnt bolted down less hungry mind . Smile

Please forgive me for I have sinned.

Ive just had 2 days of eating crap and not caring, Ive not even recorded it on food focus and last night I didnt do my shred. Ive just been tired and couldnt be bothered, but I am determined to do it again properly tomorrow, but I have done my shred tonight so dont know if this has made me determined to start again tomorrow and write today and yesterday off.

well done five, red, kate row and everyone else with weight losses. I hope to join you one day.

So turkey stir fry and half a bottle of wine tonight.

I have discovered that museli, fat free youghurt and banana is actually very nice and very filling.

It is veggie night tomorrow so going to make vegetable biryani, howver my farting has got really bad Blush

I have missed the gym tonight because I was stuck at work so late, then too hungry to go straight there so had to go home and eat first and then it got too late to go Angry Am quite cross because it's the second-last day of my free trial, but I probably can't go tomorrow either as DH has to go out. I was looking forward to it believe it or not!

I did have a very good session yesterday, did nearly an hour and a nice sauna after. Nearly killed myself on the ab machine, I was wondering why it was so hard this time and then realised someone had left a humongous weight on it Grin So actually only managing to do a few crunches was quite good really!

Eaten fairly well today I suppose, partly on account of being stuck at my desk so long, and having lunch so late the canteen had nearly run out of food Sad

Well done all you weight losers though, hurray!

Well, I had a couple of glasses of champagne tonight as DH has a new job! :o Other than that I have been quite good. Will be getting weighed inthe morning, and am hoping I will be 13st something.

Well, yesterday I failed in all of my good attempts. I ate toasted cheese sandwiches for lunch, then after completing a huge work project I sat down with a larg gin and tonic and then shared a bottle of wine with DH over dinner. I got distracted so did not make the slow roasted pork and we had a whopping great steak with creamy sauce and baked pots and butter. It was lovely. Oh well! Today is another day and I was reminded of how much better I feel (and how much better i SLEEP) when I do not drink so back to slimline tonic and yummy bitters tonight.

Oh.... and just after Xmas I bought a little frock from fatface on sale. I could fit in it, but it was tight and I could not do the zip all the way so have been keeping it as my 'checking' dress- checking to see if I have lost any size not just weight. It fit yesterday!!! With even a little room around my tummy... (people still ask me if I am pregnant Sad ) So I plan to wear it this weekend. Hurrah! I never REALL thought it would fit! I NEVER fit into fatface clothes so I am delighted.

Morecoffee Welcome! Are you off somewhere nice? Are you doing Weight watchers or Slimming world?

I tried a dress on in River Island yesterday, in a 12! and yes, it fastened, it was a shirt-style dress, it was too tight, but it went on. I'm going to try some of my old clothes on today, see if they fit, sick of wearing the same clothes on rotation!

Thanks! Well done redstorm that's spurring me on!I have a whole wardrobe of size 10/12 summer clothes to wear this year that I can't get into now :( (in size 16 atm) looking forward to wearing them again!

Well, I have been doing a diet for 2 weeks that has worked for me in the past, a bit like the old ww no count from about 5yrs ago? I'm basically eating 3 healthy meals a day, no bread, fruit veg or yoghurt as snacks and 1 treat a day (eg glass of wine or bag of crisps etc).lost 2lbs first week and 3lbs this week :) hoping 2 loose about 2lbs a week, which should be around 3 stone by the holiday Grin going to the gym in a minute as well.

My difficulty is that I work nights and end up eating at night and during the day! But I think I have worked out a happy medium now.

Haven't read the whole thread yet,but will come back later and read through while I recover from my work out!

well my shred dvd arrived this morning, but as i have zumba tonight i think i shall leave it until tomorrow before i start that.

Am now wearing jeans i couldn't at xmas, and the new ones i bought for holiday are loosening (dp will not be impressed as i will need smaller ones soon, although have quite a few smaller in my drawers)

wish my scales worked so i could see my progress :(

Well done on the losses girls, keep going, also try and forge the days you feel bad about, if you focuss too much on them you may give up, and we dont want that!

What is the shred dvd like?i've heard a lot of people talking about it on mn.

Also what diets are people doing here? I signed up to weightwatchers a few weeks ago,but couldn't get my head round the new diet and found it really hard to stick to although I only tried it for a couple of days

I am logging everything I eat on foodfocus, which seems to work for me. The rules ae I have to log everything though as if I allow myslef a bit of leeway I just don't stop.
Well I weighed myself, not 13st soemthing yet :( But I have lost more than I thought I have this time (3 or 4lb since Sunday!) and am somewhere between 14lb1 and 14lb2.
I will be 13st something by the end of Monday!

mycoffee I got the shred DVD after reading loads about it on here. I looked it up on play and saw that everybody had given it 5 out of 5 so I decided to give it a go. It only cost a fiver. I have done it for 5 days so far and I can really feel the burn of it. Im only on level one though so far. You are meant to do each level for 10 days, so Im halfway through level 1.

Im just logging everything on food focus too, but Im thinking that when I get round to moving (Im moving to a new area hopefully next month) Im thinking of re-joining slimming world as I lost a stone on that in 2010.

Anyway I am determined to get back to it properly today so have been logging my food on food focus again.

Well, hour sesh in the gym, burnt 520 cals! Will have a look at the dvd, would be good to have for days when I can't get to the gym.

I also find tracking/logging EVERYTHING I eat works for me, so will take a look at food focus.

I loved weightwatchers and slimming world! Just can't seem to focus on those diets right now,but maybe in a month or so I might need the structure again so might go back.....

Anyway, not long til lunch! What are you all having?

I'm so hungry as I haven't eaten today (i find if I eat anything before I exercise I feel sick,even if it is an hour or 3 before Hmm ) I think I will have soup and ryvitas with ex light phili ham and tomatoes. Maybe a yoghurt as well.

Do u weigh yourself daily stealth I used to,but felt Crap when it hadn't changed,so I'm trying to weigh weekly (at home) on a Thursday.
