Well had my first weigh in this morning and I have lost. Am a convert to low carb!! Long way to go, but am back on it. Will update my weight in a few weeks as these first few weeks are difficult and all I need to know is I have lost. Love my lady I weigh in with too!

This last 3 pounds feels like the biggest mountain at the moment! My target date is the Saturday of the Christmas do, so that is a pound a week.

Smokin - I have 20g carbs a day and that gets me into ketosis in less than two days. It is an all or nothing diet, you can't cheat then make up, but I think i like it because it has such strong rules.

I was into ketosis by day 3. I have very little carbs. Lunch today was chicken breast wrapped in proscutto ham with pickled red cabbage and broccoli. Am amazed how full I feel after the littlest of the right food. My skin is better (probably the 2.5 ltrs of water a day and lack of alcohol!!) and my energy is constant through the day, as opposed to massive highs and lows. My stomach is also better. I have struggled massively in the past, but really love this right now.

Ok I know I needed to lose 47lb from last week. My first week on this diet I dropped a massive 13lb. I know it was part junk, part water, part shock to my body so expecting this to slow down from here on in. 34lb to target.

OMG 13lbs that is nearly a stoneEnvySmile, surely that can't be good for your body can it? I don't think my middle aged body can take weight loss like that, I'm worried that I'd end up with a lot of loose skin and wrinkles, not that I would ever lose that much weight in one weekEnvySmile, or even one year the way I'm goingGrin.

To be honest Smallline, I think it was influenced by other things too. This week has been my time of the month - so at least 2lb of that was water etc. Low Carb has been known to drop massive numbers in the first week (quite often 8-11lb) due to the ketosis etc, and then it evens off. It is probably half water too. I dont feel a massive difference, like my jeans are only slightly looser (hardly at all) and I had had a HUGE blow out on the saturday night (weighed on the Sunday), so again at least 3lb was just because I'd stuffed my face the night before. In all honesty proper weight dropped I would put at 8-9lb for last week, the rest was natural fluctations IYSWIM?

My first week on a diet I always manage 5-6lb, and ketosis is known to produce huge results. Some (like Custy on here) can do 4lb in a day!

I'm only expecting 2-3lb this week and here on in.

I am fully in ketosis again, on ++ on my little sticks, and really hoping for a loss on Friday, but it slows right down when the end is in sight. Fact!

Smokin I remember in my 20s when I lost 10lb in the first week while following a new diet. Well done Smile 13lb in three months' time would do me fine.

Good luck with getting that final 3lb off piste. What outfit have you chosen?

Maybe its my body's last way of celebrating my 20s - I'm 29 after all!

Just had lean lamb steak with red cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. Am stuffed now.

Reckon I'm on track for 3-4lb this week fingers crossed. Am enjoying it, and the food that I'm eating which is the main point. Never drunk so much water in my life though!

I need a new outfit for my Christmas Do. Thinking pretty long line tunic with leggings - but cant find anything out there. Any help appreciated! Its in a pub, just buffet and disco. I have natural coloured high heels, or red so any outfits to go with either colour! And I'm a poor person, so no designers Grin

Just an idea smokin, try Sainsburys/ASDA. Touch & go sometimes but I've seen some nice stuff in there, got myself a croched jumper from ASDA.

I have a gorgeous tunic I bought from France on holiday, very chic, I could get it on but it was a bit tight. I thought I'd lose the rest of the weight, but unfortunately went the other way Sad

Is anyone still shredding? After I've been to work at lunchtime tomorrow I am starting again. It really does shift the weight. I've had a painful foot for a while not sure what I did but better now and I've no excuse....

For the MN do I am frocking it, but not sure what yet, although some are wearing skinny jeans and more party tops. Nice to think about what to wear when there is lots of choice Smile

I know Smokin - 2lbs is nothing and yet it still seems so far away!! I need to stay in ketosis over the weekend which will be hard cos we have a dinner tomorrow night, you should come over to our low carb thread - there are real experts on there..

What diet are you doing Trimmer? Could doing something different for a couple of weeks help?

I have massive motivation now - big 10 year work reunion on Jan 13th. Am mega excited, loved that job and the people I worked with and cant wait for the night out - and lovely Pisty has offered to put me up for the night too Grin

But, the job is all highly paid, world travelling, childless, loaded men and women (hence why I left, loved it but wanted kids) and I need to be thin! I have a life I am more than happy with (especially now got new fab job) but I need a figure that shows that on the outside.

So today I am a size 14. I am determined to be at least a 12 by then. Its 2 months away, and even though Christmas is in the middle my aim is at least 1st by then.

I neeeeed to nibble tonight. Might need an early night to stay away from the kitchen! I've had some cheese wrapped in ham cut into chunks, but I am craving something like crisps right now. I know its all in my head as the boys have been hard work this afternoon, but argh!

Smokin, I am doing Slimmers' World, it will work for me as it was this type of diet i did when I successfully lost weight before, but need to exercise.

Blondes, do you do circuit training at your gym?
