Anyone want to join me?

There is of course another week of indulgence left before we have to start but thought it might be good to get into the right mind set.

silkcutandchardonnay · 02/01/2006 17:35

Happy new year everyone!

Would love to join this thread - went to WW over the summer but now am back at work and can't fit it in with nursery etc very easily.

An scoffing the last few bits of chocolate, cake etc as I type. There is about 2 lbs of fantastic cheese in the fridge but dh will have to eat that. I think I probably need to lose about 1.5 stone. Can't face the scales tonight, so I'll CAT you my vitals tomorrow if that's OK UCM. Thanks very much for offering to collate all our details.

Enjoy your last night of lard, ladies

myturn · 02/01/2006 19:09

Ok. When this thread was kindly started by MrsSpoon (hello!) I had almost a stone to lose. Now I must have almost 2 stone to lose due to 2 wks holidays and loads of booze, choccies and stodgy puddings .

Will weigh myself tomorrow and mail my details UCM. Are we measuring ourselves as well?? On the positive side, I bought a lovely tracksuit in the sales to motivate me to get out running again.

omtmum · 02/01/2006 19:13

Wasn't sure if we needed to post height too so mine is 5'4 if needed. UCM you are going to be kept very busy!! Am sort of looking forward to starting and trying very hard to work up some enthusiasm to go to the gym. Wanted to cancel last year but DH said that then I'd never go, well I never did but now I just might. Good luck everybody

calebsmum · 02/01/2006 21:01

5"3 and 11stone 8lbs! Went jogging last night and have started riding my bike to work and back. Today I can hardly walk but am snacking on fruit and veg! Just hope I can it up

myturn · 02/01/2006 21:07

Oooh well done calebsmum!!

I am going to go running tomorrow... after weighing myself. Absolutely dreading both.

busywizzy · 02/01/2006 21:19

Well done Calebsmum

I've been quite good food wise today despite the tempation of all the choccie/crisp/peanut remants everywhere I go. Have told DH and DD that what isn't eaten today goes in the bin tomorrow so they've done a pretty good job of polishing off most things.

Bought myself the Davina McCall Power of Three DVD so am going to start that tomorrow.

I'm going back to work on February 20th and if I don't loose a stone, I'm not going to fit inot any of my suits. Can't see myself not looking too out of place in my mangy old traksuits that I currently live in

Good luck everyone.

chickenrice · 02/01/2006 23:11

Hi all

Forgot to mention my weight in my last message. I am 10st 6lbs and 5ft1. Would like to lose 2 st. UCM, please add me to your chart. Been reasonably good today. There are 2 chocolate truffles left though. Should I eat them?

nutmeg · 02/01/2006 23:36

can I join in??
I am 5.9 and 12st 3lbs.
Put on weight after having children by eating large amounts at NCT tea parties.
Do I have to e-mail someone?

niccick · 03/01/2006 00:20

Well its the first day and I have been thinking about my goal weight for the moment is 95 kg. For me to get down past the 100kg is a big thing, I haven't been like that before I met my DH. I have decided that it is love that makes you put on weight, . DH is being very supportive as he needs to loose around 30kgs as well. So we will be doing this together and we are going to start walking every night. The dog will enjoy it too.

I have informed DH that if he wants to buy me things to make me happy that it has to be flowers as he buys me chocolate because i love it so much.

I will be following the CSIRO diet as much as possible, its mainly alot of fruit and vegies and not alot of red meat and a limited amount of carbs.
Good luck everyone and make sure we keep in touch

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 03/01/2006 00:25

Its diet day!

I swear my scales have gone dodgy since i emailed my weight over 2 days ago - no one can put 6lb on in that time!! I think its because i moved them into a different room? Anyhow - I have eaten the pizza out of the freezer and saved the healthy stuff speciafically for my diet

I went shopping today and was buying clothes (not like i need any more but still!) and then wondered why i was buying clothes when im planning to be at least a stone lighter soon! (I bought a fab bright red mini skirt...)

Are we going to list what we have eaten everyday? I am planning on going to auqatone on wednesday but hopefully they wont be wobberly for long!

Good luck all!

niccick · 03/01/2006 00:37

I think if we list everything and I mean everything that we eat we would be more likely to stick to the diets we choose. I also think if we list what excerise we do and how much water we drink that might help to, I know that drinking water is hard for me as i hate tap water and only like bottled. What do you all think? And if anyone would like to email me feel free.

UCM · 03/01/2006 01:52

Sorry it's so late, got in late from work. Can anyone who wants to join email me on

I emailed too- think I did it New year's Eve. Weighed myself this morning and I have put on 1.5 lb since then!!!
Let me know if you need me to send over my details again UCM.

chickenrice · 03/01/2006 10:14

UCM, I have just emailed you with my stats.
Please add me to your chart.

Never done Weightwatchers/ Slimming world before.
All I know about weightwatchers is that it uses a 'Points' system. Do you have to follow their recipes to make it work? What are their classes like? Am a size 14/16 and a short 5ft 1. Would like to spend less time looking for clothes that fit.

Thanks for any info in advance.

melgreenmum · 03/01/2006 10:36

Hi
Please can I join the weightloss club?
I am 5ft 3 and about 68kg or 10st 10. I will email after lunchtime when I have been to the boots scales! looking forward to no more tight trousers

myturn · 03/01/2006 10:51

Have mailed you UCM, so please please add me to the list.

I lost over 3stone before so know I can do it again with everyone's help. Am back up to 10.2 which is WAY too much for a small 5ft2 person. Have put back on just over a stone (am so disgusted with myself) and know it is because I stopped exercising. So am going out running TODAY!!

Have a good week everyone.

figleaf · 03/01/2006 11:36
