Anyone want to join me?

There is of course another week of indulgence left before we have to start but thought it might be good to get into the right mind set.

Happy New Year to all.

I would like to join too. Need to lose 2 stone. Not gone on any slimming thread/club before. Never feel too bothered about my weight until I try and shop for clothes. Being 5ft1 and over 2 stone overweight makes it difficult to find anything that fits properly. Feel terrible in the fitting room but the feeling seems to go away once I leave the room and see the rows of chocolate in the supermarket.

gingernutlover · 01/01/2006 18:57

I need to lose 4 stone but even 4lbs would be a start! I lost all but 2 lbs of my preg wieght back in sept when dd born, not sure what has gone wrong since then I AM SO FAT

will email you UCM

DustAnyone · 01/01/2006 20:22

Chickenrice, me too!

Need to brave the shops tomorrow because I desperately need new work trousers but am dreading it. I am hoping to lose 2 1/2 stone with everyone on here for support!

Hopefully chatting on here will stop me snacking in the evenings..... my biggest downfall.

Charlee · 01/01/2006 21:58

HosannaInExcelsassy · 02/01/2006 08:05

Hi can I join too?

Am 5'7, currently 10st12. Losing a stone would suit me perfectly - really want to be under 10 st.

I've lost nearly all the baby weight from dd2(1 yo on 10th Jan - where did that year go?), but want to be slimmer than when I concieved her (10st7 at that time.)

Will email UCM asap.

longwaytogo · 02/01/2006 08:07

right here goes, have been reading this thread for days and not summed up the courage but really need to do something before hols in may. Need to get off my backside and exercise and loose about 2 stone. Too scared to get on the scales but will brave it and email you when I go downstairs.

Have got ww books and sw but never get past 2 weeks, can't afford to go to class but if we can do it this way then great.

cathyspam · 02/01/2006 08:34

okay - am joining - need to lose more than 1 stone but it would be a good start!

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 08:40

someone said can we start Tuesday 4th Jan..what year is that?!!! Might be ready by then!!!
There is so much cake left..I cant turn my back on it can I?

niccick · 02/01/2006 09:46

I so want in on this. But how does it all work? I am in australia I am 5'9 and I weigh 263 lbs. While pregnant I only put on the normal amount of weight but then when I breastfed my DS i just couldn't stop eating. It didn't help that he had a twisted bowel and cried 18hrs every day and I couldn't get outside so I got depressed and comfort ate as well. Once we discovered the twist he was rushed off to hospital and he had emergency surgerym, he was 3mths old, and had 12 days in hospital and with only hospital food this made things worse. I was also over weight before I became pregnant so that didn't help much either. I work 30hrs a week and am so tired by the end of the day who can be bothered cooking.

I need help to get motivated, so as I said before for I am so in on this.

janx · 02/01/2006 13:25

I would love to join in - having gone back to work in Sept after a year looking after my dd - I feel really flabby - plus my mum bought me a jumper for Christmas which did not fit which was depressing. I have never really dieted before - can anyone advice a good one?

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 02/01/2006 14:02

Are we starting tomorrow then?

eeps! I havent finished all the christmas choccie!!!

Oh well, will be worth it when i have lost a stone!

Did you get my email UCM?

Cabe · 02/01/2006 14:20

Niccick - I think we cat our height and weight to UCM who's going to make a chart - start date Tuesday 3rd Jan' I converted your weight into Stones and Pounds 263/14 = 18stone 8lb rounded to the nearest pound... HTH

DustAnyone · 02/01/2006 15:26

I emailed my weight but not height.

Ucm, if you need it, I'm 5ft 8.

Am currently stuffing my face with the remains of the Christmas choccies!

UCM · 02/01/2006 15:51

Bear with me. Will hopefully post out completed chart this eve.

UCM · 02/01/2006 16:05

There a couple of websites that may be helpful. One of them here is offering a free 3 day access to calorie counters etc.

here is the free Tesco diet profile

You might find them helpful
