The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Blimey! first movement on this thread in 3 days?!!! I fear we are slacking and really need to get back to the task in hand!

I'm being taken to Jamie Olivers '15' restaurant next week and haven't a clue what to wear! wonder if I can get a few lbs off before then...

FAB it's dreadful, all of it...not sure what to say really as I'm very bad at dealing with the bullying that Ds goes through...I was bullied at school and dealt with it by ignoring it, so I think that's kind of where I am...even when I did deal with the compass stabbing with Ds, it was never resolved as the school seemed to ignore it. Hope you get it all sorted out soon.

TheOriginalFAB · 20/10/2011 11:50

No response from the Head of the Governors yet. She got our letter on Tuesday. No one has spoken to me since we took DS1 out. Monday can't come soon enough. I am going to be devastated if there is no room for DD and DS2.

DH has written an email to the woman who has already written a piece in the local paper about starting a petition against bullying at the school. He hasn't sent it yet as he wanted to sleep on it.

DH and I were bullied at school and it only stopped when he slapped back. DS1 wouldn't do that. I am so bloody angry.

I have eaten and the key for me has been having jacket potato and cottage cheese at dinner time and having a proper lunch as well. I have just got my period early as well.

BigBoobiedBertha · 20/10/2011 13:57

FAB Have you thought about enrolling your children on a self defence course?

My boys did one last term. It was really good. I hope they never have to use it but DS1 is very vulnerable and moving to secondary means he is more likely to get bullied just for being him so we thought it was a good idea. It did focus on getting away from trouble rather than confronting it which is the last resort but they learnt a few moves to floor people, hopefully long enough to ge away. If it were used on children rather than adult (because it was to get away from any age group, not just school bullies) I reckon it would halt them in their tracks.

Good about the paper. Name and shame.

Solo Whose taking you to 15 then? It makes a difference about what to wear. Lucky you though! Smile

How's the house stuff going?

TheOriginalFAB · 20/10/2011 14:11

I haven't but the school they hopefully will all go to is much smaller and has better facilities, and tbh, none of the rougher element that their current school has so hopefully they won't need it. One of the mothers has no problem with her son hurting mine so there would be no talking to her.

BigBoobiedBertha · 21/10/2011 11:20

How are we all today?

Is anybody actually Pauling at the moment?

I haven't had the best week. It is that 'joyful' time of the month when I am finding hunger hits me out of nowhere. There is no warning - I got from being fine to starving in minutes. Bloody hormones. I don't dare step on the scales at the moment!! And then it half term which always goes badly for me. We shall have to go for long bracing walks to make up for all my potential Pauling failures.[smiles]

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 21/10/2011 12:39

I'm not really either, but I've missed Aunt Flo again this month...I'm also very very stressed about the possibility/probability of returning to work in 10 weeks time. I am so not ready and nor are the Dc's especially the eldest.

TheOriginalFAB · 21/10/2011 12:52

I am not really Pauling as such but I am following the healthy eating list I got from the doctor but if I want some ice cream, I will have some. Making myself eat a proper breakfast and then having a snck mid meals if I want one, and not feeling guilty, is working for me at the moment.

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 21/10/2011 14:51

Right ladies! It looks like I might be returning to work in as little as 10 weeks time. I'm not happy about this and I can't tell you how much stress I'm feeling about everything right now, but I'll need to get into my uniform so I really need your help and encouragement.

I also need to start some sort of exercise thing without going OTT as it'll just make me ill.

So! You have your orders!!! Wink

As you were!

TheOriginalFAB · 21/10/2011 14:54

Get yourself some lovely fruit and veg. Get some water cooling in the fridge. Plan some nice walks.

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 21/10/2011 15:09

It's not the fruit and veg that's the problem FAB it's that I'm not Pauling I'm mostly not eating extra, but I'm eating big meals again and not consciously and not really what I want. I also don't drink nearly enough and never really water ~ which must change. :)

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 21/10/2011 15:10

Oh and there's no such thing as a 'nice walk' around here...

TheOriginalFAB · 21/10/2011 15:29

Then you know what you need to do Smile.

I think over eating and feeling yourself not getting fitter/thinner will add to your stress, so you know it makes sense to Paul.

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 21/10/2011 15:31

Absolutely...just wish I could afford what I want to eat...anyway, off to Mums for tea, so catch you later! :)

TheOriginalFAB · 21/10/2011 15:40

Have a nice time!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 22/10/2011 01:03

Right you lot, I am back from holiday Grin

Out for dinner just me and DH tomorrow for our anniversary while my parents look after the boys. Really looking forward to it, we need some time alone to reconnect a bit.

I haven't pauled the whole time we've been away, but much better than I ever would have been in the past.
My cousin has asked me to be bridesmaid next May so another motivation!

Solo that sounds scary about the work Sad 15 is what you make it - lunch or dinner? I wore a dress, but I am not really a trouser person. There were loads there in jeans, DH wore jeans I am sure and lots of women had them on too. Food yum, alcohol very expensive was my verdict!

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 22/10/2011 01:05

Welcome back Ali :) good time?

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 22/10/2011 01:08

Dinner at 15. I live in jeans and leisure pants as not much else fits very well. I think I'll wear a dress. I think I can dress up a bit as it's a surprise birthday party/dinner thing. I don't know many that are going and of those that I do know, I only know one reasonably well.

Yes to scary re work; very bloody scary! :(

TheOriginalFAB · 22/10/2011 07:57

IMHO it is better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed. You need to feel comfortable.

Have a good time!

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 22/10/2011 12:56

It's next Friday, so will be ripping my wardrobe apart soon...

Solo · 24/10/2011 01:38

Ok! it's Monday morning, a new week. Can we have a roll call please?!

Solo here!

TheOriginalFAB · 24/10/2011 07:32

FAB here!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 24/10/2011 07:51

Alibaba here!

Solo · 24/10/2011 11:11

Is that it?!!

ColdSancerre · 24/10/2011 11:28

I'm here, still Pauling but only two weeks in. Weighed myself this morning and lost 2lbs so am happy. STill getting used to it, must try to listen to the cd daily though.

Solo · 24/10/2011 12:54

Nice to see you CS :)

I've worked out that I need to lose 2.8lbs a week for 10 weeks in order to lose 2st before returning to work (if I have to). Going to be tough, but I need to do it.
