Nice name WHN. Very clever and witty.

Maybe you should take a leaf out of FAB's books and call yourself TheOriginalSolo. She has only had that name 2 years - a newbie name theft in my book.

Had the meeting. Don't like the head of year or the SENCO. Basically, they kept insisting they are right ("in our professional opinion........" subtext "we know better than you about your son who we only met last week") and that they will move DS1 into the class he should be in but it is on our own heads if it all goes wrong. I don't think their opinion adds up and I think he will move but now I am doubting my own opinions. I was friendly and amenable on the surface and steely underneath and no threat of tears. Quite proud of myself. Got a sneery Hmm from the SENCO for something I said and it just made me smirk - stupid woman.

Glad it is over but weirdly has made me want to eat. Talk about emotional eating. It might be because I ate very little this morning

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 15/09/2011 21:38

Niecie well done. Smile Is there the option to move him to a different school if things don't improve? I don't know much about secondaries here yet.

WhoresHairKnickers · 15/09/2011 21:39

See, I did think of that (TheOriginalSolo), but then I'd be nicking FAB's nn, so doing exactly the same as number 2 (wonder if she realises she's a 'number 2' Grin), so I won't do that. Will keep this for now, but I liked being Solo as it's me and short, simple and there was just one of me

Niecie I think that all you can do is keep an eye on things and jump on them at the slightest concern. I don't know the reasons behind your Ds's and your involvement with SENCO, so could be talking out of my arse hair knickers but I'm glad you held it together.

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 00:06

Ha, ha - you could call yourself TheOtherSoloisaNo2.

Or you could be TheFirstSolo or TheAuthenticSolo just for a bit - until she gets the point.

TheOriginalFAB · 16/09/2011 07:34

I don't mind if you call yourself TheOriginalSomething Grin.

I need some TLC today Blush.

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 10:16

What's up FAB? Anything in particular or are you just having one of those days?

You are very welcome to off load.Smile

Might take my mind off my quiet seething.

I'm still stewing over my meeting at DS1's school yesterday. Why is it you always think of the smart retorts after the event? Or is it just me?

Smurky Head of Year -'ha, ha MrsTerminator you do realise that all junior schools inflate their grades don't you' Implication being DS1 doesn't deserve his SATs marks and they shouldn't be as high as they are which is actually irrelevant because it is his postion relative to the other children that affects where he is placed in the school not the actual mark.

What I should have said in response 'ha, ha, of course Mr HofY yes, I know, just like secondary school's results haven't really got better for the last 29 yrs running, the exams have just got easier'.

The bummer of it is, being nervous and on tenterhooks before the meeting yesterday killed my appetite but being angry seems to require feeding.Hmm

Damn that emotional eating thingAngry

WhoresHairKnickers · 16/09/2011 10:25

I don't think she's going to budge actually Angry and I suppose it is a bit daft to feel SOOOOO annoyed over it, but I've had quite a few people suddenly realise that she's not me. I mean, what if she CAT'd someone who thought it was me and we'd been chatting previously about something sensitive or personal? that could completely breach trust couldn't it?

Niecie I too think of smart answers/retorts after the event, though I did go through a phase when I was able to (mid to late 20's) and it is soooooooo satisfying!!!

FAB what's up?

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 10:33

I know. She doesn't seem to care does she? I only knew for sure when she talked about her young DS.

You could stalk her across the boards and be there to constantly confuse people and then when they ask, tell them she is an IMPOSTER!!!! Grin

I need to get a life, don't I?!!!!

WhoresHairKnickers · 16/09/2011 10:49

Oh Niecie that made me laugh out loud! but I might just do it! Grin

WhoresHairKnickers · 16/09/2011 10:53

Hover your curser over my name Niecie

JuicyOlive · 16/09/2011 11:02

Yum yum. Just finished breakfast (wasn't hungry earlier). Almond croissant, coffee and an orange. Didn't quite finish the croissant. Feeling pleasantly satisfied. If I have lunch, it'll probably be something quite light and fairly late on. And if I have a small late lunch, I probably won't want too much tonight. That's the beauty of it, isn't it. Eating only when you're hungry means that, effectively, you eat less.

I'm not surprised you're pissed off Solo. It's very confusing.

Hope you're OK Fab.

WhoresHairKnickers · 16/09/2011 11:10

Your breakie sounds lovely Olive :)

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 11:28

My turn to laugh out loud Whoreshair. Grin

Nice one.

That will learn her!!

Nice brekkie JuicyOlive - I don't fancy eating until late most of the time either and then lunch is a rush affair just before the school run. That is fine though - it acts as a natural break in the eating and means that I am sufficiently full but don't get tempted by cake. Grin

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 16/09/2011 11:49

We could all stalk her together? Not this afternoon because I've got a cake to bake and an ironing pile, but later!

GrinGrin

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 12:08

Oh OK then. After the ironing. Grin

I won't change my name back just yet then.

ppeatfruit · 16/09/2011 12:26

Hello I"m back !!Smile just marking my place 'cos I composed a lovely long message but bleedin' munsnet decided to go off air while i'm tying to post it GRRR.

TheOriginalFAB · 16/09/2011 12:40

Hello.

I had a nightmare which included my husband leaving me for a woman he had had an affair with, my cat dying after I put her in a carrier bag and she suffcocated and not being able to find the way to my new tiny house I had to now live in. I also still have a migraine and I was dreading the morning as ds1 is always a pita in the morning. Plus still waiting on news we were expecting on Monday that still hasn't come and won't now until next week.

ppeatfruit · 16/09/2011 15:45

When i first read yr post original i thought all that had really happened! Shock iam relieved to know it was a nightmare! but not nice any how!

You won't believe i have just tried to post again and we had a power cut!! I'm doomed not to post a long chat,so i'm giving up today i will just say is there anything yr trying to tell us solohairy*knicks? or whatever !!
Also good to hear from Juicy again and welcome MunchkinsSmile

TheOriginalFAB · 16/09/2011 16:25

Oops ppeatfruit.

Having a nightmare for real as DS1 has been bulied again at school today AngrySad. Have posted a thread in primary education if anyone has any thoughts.

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 16:31

Oh no FAB that is awful. My worst nightmare with DS1 as he is a bit different and other children can be cruel. I hope your DS is OK now he is home. Thank goodness for the weekend. I shall go and look at your thread even if I can't add anything.

NiecieTheTerminator · 16/09/2011 16:31

Oh and hello ppeat. Welcome back.Smile

TheOriginalFAB · 16/09/2011 18:47

I have reread the messages on Monday but can't compute. My bra is not sitting against my chest oin the middle of my breast so do I need a bigger numbers or letters size bra? Currently wearing 36F I think.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/09/2011 00:07

Fab bigger letters, and possibly a smaller number as well.

I've gone a bit wrong today. As a 'reward' for the scales being lower than they have in 6 years this morning, I have eaten too much, and too much of it was crap. Feel yuck, and a bit cross with myself.

WhoresHairKnickers · 17/09/2011 00:12

Hello pp, Solo here!

Right ladies. I need help. Dd's father is visiting sometime next month to see Dd and I need to look gooooood! better.

WhoresHairKnickers · 17/09/2011 00:14

FAB get measured properly. There is a lovely lady in BW John Lewis. She worked for Rigby and Peller for years and knows just what she's doing.
