Summer holidays weight loss boot camp

I'm determined to lose weight over the summer holidays and not put it on! It'll be great if I could drop the kids off in September about a stone lighter.

I've decided to try a diet which is low in carbs at meal times and snack on fruit only. I'll do half an hr exercise every day. Either davina dvd or gym. My treats will be things like an ice lolly on days out.

Come, join in Smile

Sorry Shiney, I've been reading sadly's thread.
I'm accidentally eating that well known calorie free pizza! I have been very good all week! I'm also looking at Dermot O'leary Blush ok, ok yes I am drinking a small cider but shh!

done virtually no exercise, except for 3 pt sessions. Eaten like a pig and drunk like a fish :(

MumPotNoodle · 28/08/2011 15:09

Well done to all of you that have kept this up, have to say especially well done to shiney who has almost completed the challenge.

I fell off the wagon near the very start and never recovered, lack of motivation, strangely enough too much time on my hands to be lazy and no commitment....here's to another start in September.

A stone is a stone though, well done, I'm impressed with all the hard work you have done, shame I didn't follow your example Blush.

Well I know I can't start again in earnest until 7 Sept so anything in between will be a bonus, however from 7 Sept I WILL:

do 20 mins cardio before work
walk or dvd after work
drink more water
no snacking
no alcohol during week

Sounds sooooooooo simple doesn't it Grin

Do you actually enjoy the gym Shiney or do you have to push yourself to go?

Your food sounds lovely as usual Grin.

Shows how wrong you can be...always thought you enjoyed the gym ha! I'm like you, loathe exercise, I am lazy and don't have the mindset yet to change but hopefully it will happen.

Well done all of you. I've slipped this week and boy does it show!
I must, must be bloody brilliantly good this week!
I'm exhausted can I burn calories sleeping and washing up?
I need too!
Today I've had
62 cal coffee
Big rice cake and tomato salad
Tonight:
Chicken
Asparagus
Dry roasted, i.e no oil: onion, carrot, beetroot.
A little gravy to perk it all up.
Dreaming of coke in all it's sugary glory!

MABS · 29/08/2011 08:35

We all have bad times PFB, but sounds like you are doing well again. Shiney, as ever your food makes me hungry just reading it. Am back on wagon this week, God knows I need to be. Spin this am will hurst i am sure :(

handbagsandshoes · 29/08/2011 09:06

Well done Shiney - I am determined to follow your shining example! Like you I am hitting the big 4 0 this November...

I am feeling back into the groove but am finding this last haul very SLOW! Have I hit the dreaded plateau??? In desperation I have turned the scales to stones and ounces in the hopes that the numbers will drop faster. I have been eating ok and super power walking almost every evening this past week. Maybe it will just drop all of a sudden???

MABS · 29/08/2011 09:11

thats great Handbags, well done :) I hit 40 a few years ago now, and what really pisses me off is that i was 20lbs lighter then, I need to get back to that!!

MumPotNoodle · 29/08/2011 10:05

I have just "won" an exercise dvd on flea-bay, a 28 day programme with clear precise instrictions on which section to do on which day and how many times a week....couldn't be simpler eh?Confused

MABS · 29/08/2011 11:41

well you are sorted then eh Potnoodle?! do hope it doesn't get lost in the post on the way to you ;-)
