Thank you everyone. I had a moment at work earlier where I thought actually it's his loss. He is going to miss out on having the fabulous thin me in his life Grin and won't see as much of out 3 beautiful DDs! So I'm feeling a bit better.

I am eating when I'm hungry, eating what I want and think I'm stopping when full but I am def not eating conciously (sorry rubbish at spelling!)

I am going to do the 30 day shred DVD tonight, which by the way Niecie isn't as bad as I thought it would be, then start again properly tomorrow

Well I have managed to lose 11 stone of useless weight this week (XH Grin ) so another one shouldn't be too difficult!

SoloIsAHotCougar · 16/06/2011 22:55

Good one MM Grin

Well done MM Grin

I'm with you on the Shred, I love it. Not sure if I could manage it atm though, I'd be nervous about my section scar.

Right another day, another beginning. I have to get over this hump. I feel like once the weight starts moving downwards I will be able to lose a stone fairly easily, but I am stuck. More exercise needed I think.

BsshBossh · 17/06/2011 21:34

I'm skipping my usual fortnightly weigh in tomorrow due to over-eating during AF's visit. Am back on track again now but don't want to stress myself out at any possible weight gain so... onwards and downwards towards my next weigh in on 2nd July Grin.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 18/06/2011 02:46

Good thinking Bssh.

Would you's mind if i joined? Inspired by all of you and find it impossible and soul destroying following set diet plans. So have bought the book and downloaded the cd and am ready to go. Am totally addicted to sugar/chocolate :(, have 2 stone to lose.

PositiveAttitude · 18/06/2011 07:51

Welcome Posie. Smile

Second that Bssh. I delayed my weigh-in last Monday, but am still too nervous to do it, as have struggled all week.

Kick up mahoooosive bum needed here, I think!!!

MuffinsMummy · 18/06/2011 07:59

Welcome Posie you sound quite similar to me 9 weeks ago. I had about 2 stone to lose and used to eat chocolate at least once every day. Now I hardly ever eat it as I'm just not hungry enough.

XH is supposed to be having girls this morning so I'm going to try and get some housework done. The girls have got a birthday party this afternoon and I haven't got a present yet so will be searching tesco for an appropriate book! I think I have come to the conclusion that it isn't XH that I miss I just missing somebody being there. We have had some kind of problem since we got married 3 years ago so I know it's for the best. I can be happy on my own!

Good luck today everyone as BsshBossh says onwards and downwards Grin

MuffinsMummy · 18/06/2011 08:04

I read a really interesting article in Candis magazine that I get delivered about whether diets ever work. It said that the diet industry make sure that they work in the short term but fail long term as that's how they make their money. It didn't have anything about Paul Mckenna in there but it did say hypnotherapy was worth trying.

Ephiny · 18/06/2011 08:29

I tried the tapping technique for the first time last night, have not bothered with it before as I tend to be sceptical about such things and assumed it was nonsense.

It only bldy works! Grin

Have had a bad week (or two) of stuffing myself with biscuits etc in the evenings after dinner, felt like I had no control over it. Last night was about to start doing the same and thought I'd give the tapping a try because - why not. Didn't feel dramatically different, but afterwards got up and went to the kitchen, walked right past the biscuit cupboard and made myself a nice cup of herbal tea instead :)

ppeatfruit · 18/06/2011 18:19

Hello everyone!! welcome to the newpauls!! i've been running around in london for a over a week and not nr. a compooter; and lost some of that niggling belly!!It's nice to be complimented on looking good isn't it?

BsshBossh · 18/06/2011 21:58

I did sneak a peak at the scales today. I hadn't put on any weight afterall, despite the over-eating; had lost a pound so 36 lbs in total now. Have ate according to the rules the last two days and fully intend to abide by them from now on.

BsshBossh · 18/06/2011 21:59

Have ate? Have eaten....

MuffinsMummy · 18/06/2011 23:24

Still not really following all of the rules but still not doing too badly. I only eat meals now so no snacking at all. The last time I lost a lot of weight was after DD1 was born, I went from a size 14 pre-pregnancy to size 10 in about 9 months. I didn't diet I just eat 3 meals a day and did a lot of walking. I can drive now so don't walk anymore Blush but I am doing the 30 day shred DVD every day.

I don't notice I have lost weight for ages normally so end up wearing clothes that are too big! I still wear my size 14 but think I need to try 12 as they are quite big now. I was wearing a pair of jeans with a 30 inch waist today which is quite good for me as it never get small even when I was a size 8 (many many moons ago!)

Glad you are back in the groove BsshBossh long may it last Grin

ppeatfruit yes it is lovely! My line manager told me last week that she wasn't going to stand next to me as she didn't look as good Blush Grin

PositiveAttitude · 19/06/2011 08:49

Hee hee Bssh, congratulations!! I too took a sneak onto the scales this morning!! Grin
I was supposed to weigh last Monday, but due to massively overeating because of AF thought I would leave it a week. I would have been happy with staying the same weight....... but I am whole 3lb down!! Grin Thats 21lb in under 9 weeks. I am chuffed! Grin

After my serious wobble over the past 10 days I now feel re-vitalised to continue.

Come on ladies, this works!!!! Grin

TheOriginalFAB · 19/06/2011 19:49

I seem to have lost all motivation though I am not stuffing my face, but eating when not fully hungry but maybe emotional or something.

Niecie · 19/06/2011 19:49

I was not pleased yesterday. I apparently put on 6lbs in a week - WTF is that all about? Angry

Not AF, no bloating, no puffy ankles - actually before I stood on the scales I thought my stomach was feeling particularly 'flat' (I use the term loosely, relative to how it normally is not to other people's definition of flat). OK I haven't done very well with food this week but I had been a lot better than the week before when I put nothing on. I have also been out and walking a lot so not sat at a desk all week. I felt like crying!! Anyway, I weighed in just before having a bath and sat there stewing so I weighed myself again after I got out and it went down 2lbs which was better but still a bit Hmm. I moved the scales around the floor a bit to the light spot (I always weigh less just in front of the door) and various spots in between and the weight varied by 5lbs! So I have no idea what is going on or what I weigh.

In a way, it has given me a fright and a kick up the butt so I am determined to do better next week although how I will know with my schizonphrenic scales I don't know. Hmm

Solo I wonder if your scales(well, the ones you got weighed on) are misbehaving too - I blame the weather. It is odd for the time of year.

ppeat, bossh and muffin - well done to you all. You all sound very positive.

Ephiny · 19/06/2011 20:06

I find most bathroom scales are a bit unreliable/inaccurate - I also find I weigh different amounts depending on what bit of floor the scales are on Confused, also depending on exactly where you stand and how you distribute your weight. I can get on and off three times in a row and get different results. So it's probably best not to worry too much about a few pounds up or down, look for the bigger changes in the long-term.

Niecie if you feel your stomach was flatter then that might be a better indicator. Do you measure your waist as well as weighing yourself? I think it's worth doing. It can be good to pay attention to clothes fitting tigher/looser as well. I find weighing can be a bit random and it's very demoralising when you find you've apparently gained or stayed the same after a good week!

BsshBossh · 19/06/2011 20:56

My scales vary hugely depending on where/what surface I'm weighing myself on (and what time of day, obviously) so I only weigh myself on the wooden hard floor in my downstairs hallway and nowhere else.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 19/06/2011 23:23

TheOriginalFAB · 20/06/2011 11:25
