Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

I have sts here, am completely hacked off have been angelic this week AND didn't have a single chocolate cupcake that I made yesterday! Had soup for dinner last night while DH & DD had nachos! Envy :( Really pissed off! How come I can 'maintain' at this weight but if I hit target I won't be able to maintain that without eating nothing but celery Hmm Angry

Glad you had a good birthday Pisty :)
I'm so looking forward to my '10 stone something' curry. The DH and I made an agreement that every 7lb I lose we have my favourite meal (Curry)
I started at 16.6 and am now 10.10, just another 4lb to go until goal. I've not weighed 11 stone since I was 16!
Just need to work on the wobbly bit not wobbling too much!! lol
I had a really nice day yesterday with a young lady we fostered some years ago, as I left she gave me a card and told me not to open until I was home - talk about make me cry!! It was so nice, thanking DH & I for all we had done and wishing we were her parents. Still chokes me up thinking about it - she was/is hard work, but I do love her! SO nice to see her and her little family doing so well, makes all the sleepless nights worth it.

Anyway.. Wish you all a super, lighter weekend.

smokinaces · 10/06/2011 12:13

Well done on loss blondes and stay bend. My weigh in is tomorrow eeek !

smokinaces · 10/06/2011 12:14

Ha ha new phone can you tell?! That was meant to say sts bebe!

GettinTrimmer · 10/06/2011 13:40

well done on your 3lb Blondes Smile

well done also on sts Bebe

good luck for tomorrow smokin. I am monday wi, or I will eat/drink too much at the weekend.

Planning on a chinese take-away this evening, I am having sweet and sour veg with plain boiled rice, but I will be very tempted to have chips and prawn crackers....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/06/2011 14:15

Cor Blimey - had a bit of a gin head this morning, and didn't feel too brilliant having eaten carbs either! It really felt like I'd eaten a sand bag Confused Part of me wanted to lose it iyswim, but I didn't... Still feeling jaded, but having something to eat now, and hope that helps. All I can say is I am so glad it is Friday!!

I weighed in this morning, as in the morning after the night before, and I STS, so that is fine, all things considered Blush I am going to go back on the low carb thing, I know I said my birthday was the day I was finishing, but I think I shall go on longer.

Blondes - fabulous loss, well done, 3lbs in a week is brill. Do WW do a maintenance programme as well as a weight loss one? I'm worrying about successful maintaining, and just wondered....

Also I'm not sure I can imagine doing boxercise with a hangover, I think I may end up like this if I attempted that combination !!! Note everyone my very flat tummy in that pic!

smoky - loving the random typing on your new phone Grin Get yourself on those scales tomorrow! Good luck...

Bebe - STS is good, and maybe you are close to your optimum weight, hence why it is harder to lose?

GT - enjoy your nosh tonight, and good luck for Monday

Piste - glad you had a nice day! Your link doesn't work...apparently it's 'unauthorised'!! Confused

I suppose I am always going to be chunkier than I would like then :( Just can't shift these few lbs I gained at all. Maybe I need to step up the activity, not been nice enough lately to do all the walking I was doing when I lost it last summer! Hoping the sun stays around next week & I can get in some outdoors activity before the wedding. Don't want to be 'the fat friend' anymore :( :( And yes, I know I know sts is still good, and yes I have lost alot of weight, and hit target (and bounced back upwards)...but I'm hormonal & grumpy & wallowing! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/06/2011 18:31

Shame that my link doesn't work, but I'm not going to try again, instead you can all wonder what it was with "my flat tummy" on display. Grin

< mysterious >

Exam week is over, Sports Day tomorrow 2- 7pm - please everyone fingers crossed for masses of torrential rain tonight and tomorrow as Ted goes to Taiwan/Hong Kong first thing and I loathe doing these things on my own.

And I am having a lie in tomorrow. So also please keep it crossed that I don't have shagging foxes, sodding serenading cats, bastard pigeons, twatting seagulls or wanker scafolderers waking me up. I send them all Pisty Evils

Thunderstorms here over night...not that that helps you as you are the other side of the country...it is cloudy here now though... Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2011 08:30

off to the gym to kick arse at body combat

pisty any gym for you today?

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2011 08:31

and good luck with wi for those (trimmer) who do a saturday

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/06/2011 08:56

Not gym today sadly, boxercise starts on Thursday. Gulp. So beware more complaining by me about achy arms!

For tge machines, I need to have my induction session with the 12 year old first. Can I ask B what you wear to the gym? Only last Sunday for my efforts I just wore what I wear for running(long legging things) and I got so hot. I was purple by the end!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2011 09:01

trackie bottoms and sleeveless top - all black - very slimming :)

GettinTrimmer · 11/06/2011 09:06

Blondes, I am a Monday slinky these days. I've had a bad week food wise Blush I am fully expecting a gain.

A friend of mine wants us to join a spinning/RPM class together, that burns off loads of calories, but I will be forever nervous in case the bike collapses under me.....

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/06/2011 09:13

i do beg your pardon trimmer :)

good with monday

is smokin a sat girl?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/06/2011 09:14

Blondes - you must look like a Ninja!! I think what I need is a vest type top and my running trousers are fine. Some people were in shorts but the world isn't ready for me in shorts!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/06/2011 09:15

Trim - get on the bike! Lightening doesn't strike twice Grin
yes Smoky is a sat girl.

OP posts:
smokinaces · 11/06/2011 10:08

Not today. Got in at five. Still in bed!

GettinTrimmer · 11/06/2011 10:48

Grin if it's the same instructor it is like a boot camp. And you have to do that standing up move: "if you're over 40, up off your saddle!", "number 1, walk in the park, number 10, sick on the floor. I want you at number 8!"

Join me on Monday then Smokin?

I am off to the theatre and lunch with my mum today, early birthday present for her, she will be 81 Smile

Smalline · 11/06/2011 13:55

I'm a Saturday girl who has gone awol a little bitBlush. Have stayed the same the last 2 weeks which isn't bad considering one of the weeks was half termSmile.

I may have only lost about half a stone since I joined you ladies, but I am very happy with how my shape is shaping up iykwim, I joined the gym back in March (I think) and it has certainly made a difference, my clothes are loose, they fit a lot better and my lumps and bumps have disappeared, my tummy is so much flatter than it has been, I am happyGrin.

Well done blondes on your loss, and bebe for sts, I know you're not exactly happy about it but well done all the same.

Belated birthday wishes to you Piste glad you enjoyed it, excellent weight lossSmile.

Glad that you have sorted things with DH and the house trimmer

We've put our house on the market this week, have been thinking about it for the last year or so, I love my house and if I could pick it up and move it somewhere else I would, but fancy a change of scenery after 16 years, and would like some more open space for ourselves, the kids, and the dogs (got 2 now)Smile.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/06/2011 14:27

Really nice to see you Smalline! It sounds like it is going well for you. I'm hoping to achieve more toned bits at the gym too!!

Good luck with the house move. You and Trim can have therapy tOgether!

Am currently lying in the sun. Gorgeous! I've got a book that has been recommended by two friends and I just can get into it. It's not going well but I feel I need to plough on....
