Not good to confess so much badness at the start of a new thread so I'll save that for next week Blush

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/09/2011 09:01

The last time I managed such a quick weight loss was July 2009 Hmm

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/09/2011 09:12

Oh, have already been swimming this morning so 1x exersazz for the week so far Smile

luckoftheirish · 02/09/2011 09:13

Well done on your -1 fjorny and anything is possible in 3 weeks Smile

Sazz that really isn't too bad, you relaxed and enjoyed yourself on hols and once you get back into the swing of things the weight will fall off Smile I think I remember you losing 7lbs in one week after your holiday last year Smile

I am stil 1.5 up from pre holiday weigh in but exercise starts in earnest with core stability on monday night Smile dd2 back at pre school on Wednesday so hoping this time nxt week to be fully back on track Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 04/09/2011 21:23

Been running again, 2 lots of 1 mile with a 4 minute walk in the middle. Did both miles in just over 11 minutes so got plenty of speeding up to do! Bizarrely my knee felt dodgy in the middle walk but is fine now Confused

sazz is there anything I should do/not do to strengthen my ageing joints? Think I do need new trainers as I tend to run on the inside of my feet so this could be sending my legs out of line.

Anyway, exercise done, time for gin and pringles Grin

OP posts:
FjorgynAndHotWater · 04/09/2011 21:25

not that you have ageing joints dear, before you get all Hmm and Shock on me Wink, but you do a lot of running...

OP posts:
FjorgynAndHotWater · 05/09/2011 11:27

Up 2.5 over the weekend so not too bad and trying to be good today

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 05/09/2011 19:32

I can't believe you need new trainers already Shock. Really? Mine are barely worn in. Now i know i mainly ponce about on a treadmill and not roughing it over rocks and the like, but that doesn't sound right.

I use something like these in my trainers (you replace the original insoles)]]. I think it was suggested i used them after my knee op, and fingers x'd they seem to do the trick.

The other thing i think really helps is using the powerplate to stretch once i have run (hamstrings, calves and quads) and also doing pilates to keep everything aligned.

Today i have run 5k, cycled 12k and swum 500m . I have decided that i HAVE to focus on the food as this will be the key to eliminating the excess poundage.

My goal is to be back to 10 stone before Xmas. I have a 40th party on the 28 Dec with loads of Uni mates going. The last time i saw a number of them i had got down to 12 stone but many have not seen me at 10 stone, so would be good to show off what i know i can achieve. So, 14lbs in c.14 weeks. Eek, i shall need your support, bullying and general kick up the arse, so please don't let me get away with any crap excuses nor commiserate over bad weeks. Thankyou.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 05/09/2011 19:53

No they're not worn out at all, I just think if I am going to carry on running i need to get my gait properly analysed and get some shoes from that. can definitely feel that i run on the inside edge of my feet which can't be too good Hmm

well done on all your exercise today! I have managed a walk to school and back but that's all.

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 05/09/2011 20:16

Ham salad for lunch, steak & salad for dinner with 2 small new potatoes. 2 litres of water drunk.

I am aiming for grapefruit breakfast as DD1 and I are out for lunch tomorrow. She wants Pizza Hut which will be ok if i can stick to the salad bar, but I might try and persuade her somewhere with slightly fewer temptations Hmm

SazZaVoom · 05/09/2011 20:18

New regime i think will be as follows:

Mon: 1hr - run/cycle plus short swim before/during DD2's lesson
Tues: Pilates
Weds: 1hr Circuits and maybe Spin after
Thurs: Gym if not working or shred at home if working
Weekend: gym/and or swimming with the girls

SazZaVoom · 05/09/2011 20:21

Ooh - i forgot, Thursday night is tennis as well, so not too much of an issue if i miss out during the day

FjorgynAndHotWater · 05/09/2011 20:39

You've only been back a few days and are putting me to shame already!!!

luckoftheirish · 05/09/2011 20:40

Eek well done sazz and that sounds impressive Grin

Well done on the run fjorny Grin

Managed core stability tonight and ow ow ow Smile

Rest of this week....

Wednesday gym/ body balance
Thursday spin/ boxercise
Friday body vibe
Sat gym
Sunday rest Grin

SazZaVoom · 05/09/2011 20:50

I am a bit like a firework though - all impressive and flashy for a few seconds followed by a rather limp fall to the ground Blush

SazZaVoom · 06/09/2011 16:04

DD1 chose Pizza Hut for her lunch out treat Hmm. I managed to swerve all pizza, pasta & garlic bread and just had a salad bowl with 2 breadsticks & no dressing

No exercise yet, unless i can persuade the girls to shred.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/09/2011 21:20

Well done sazz on a healthy lunch. I had leftover chicken with a bit of cheese and some of my homemade chilli apple jelly (which is fabulous) so very Atkins Grin

Been out running tonight, 2.25 miles in 28 minutes without stopping ShockShock bloody broken now though, think I need a cuppa...

will have a look at getting some of those insole things, looks good thanks.

SazZaVoom · 06/09/2011 21:31

Woo hoo. Well done Fjorn. Go Girl. sorry to hear you fecked your knee though Sad

I have been very good and had a grilled corn on the cob for tea with a small amount of savoury mince. No potato/bread etc. I am trying to remind myself all the time that the food is more important than the exercise.

I may go to the gym tomorrow as not off to London now which is a result. My aim is to try to go at 7am after dropping the girls off. We shall see whether that actually happens or not Hmm

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/09/2011 22:23

Thank you for the sympathy matey but was just being melodramatic Blush not really broken just red, hot, sweaty and knackered Grin knee does still feel a bit weak but seems OK, well I have run for 28 minutes tonight (still can't believe it!) and can still walk so that is a result in my book Grin

Your tea sounds very healthy not like my sausage pasta I'm sure the weight will drop back off again quickly. I am off to work and have a bag of fruit so should be able to swerve biscuits. Once I count up all the walking to the smoking garden that should be a good mile walk too...

luckoftheirish · 07/09/2011 07:00

Well done fjorny 28 minutes is fantastic Grin

Hope you make it to the gym sazz

I have not been v good foodwise Blush I am just snacking snacking snacking but not eating lots iykwim???

SazZaVoom · 07/09/2011 07:55

I am at the gym. Not 7am you will note, but I am here.....

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/09/2011 08:35

Very impressive sazz Shock even if it wasn't at 7am.

loti hope you make it too this morning Smile

No exercise planned today, you guys are making me feel a bit guilty

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 07/09/2011 09:20

5.5k run, 1k hand bike, 12k cycle and 5 mins powerplate

SazZaVoom · 07/09/2011 11:48

Sorry, am feeling like stuffing my face, so I am repeating my mantra on here whilst the soup is defrosting......

luckoftheirish · 07/09/2011 11:50

Lol sazz I am the same tho trying to wait for dd2 and feed here before stuffing my face Grin

Did stepper, bike and ski machine... A hour in total and cannot believe how bad my fitness levels have become Blush 2ls of water drunk but still look like this BlushHmmGrin

SazZaVoom · 07/09/2011 12:27

I keep having to remind myself that it is FAR, FAR easier not to eat those extra 500 calories than to have to go and burn them off.....

Well done on your hour LOTI. It feels good now doesn't it but mine was a chore all the way through too Blush

I really must shred as my arms and tummy could do with some assistance Hmm
