def monster munch for me

though love skips and prawn wosits

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/05/2011 15:55

Actually I like skips too, but they are a bit weird. I don't think I have ever had prawn wotsits. I think we have had this conversation before, you told me to go and get some, but I never did. Maybe this time then?

The ones I'm really not there for are quavers, and if the DC eat them in the car I have to drive along with my head out of the window.

Cheese & Onion crisps. Eeeuuugh!

However, cheesey wotsits and Twiglets I'll agree with you on. Mackies Sea Salt crisps are now my favourite crisps - usurping kettle chips.

Trimmer : are you still doing your census collection stuff? If you are, a wee bit of advice for you: before launching into your spiel, check if it is a convenient time.

Dh sent a lady away with a flea in her ear today: we've already filled ours in (did it on line) but she was insisting on verifying what we had submitted 'cos our postcode had "selected". First question she then asked was "What is your postcode?" to which dh answered, "well, you should know" and she then seemed to want to proceed by re-checking all the information I we had submitted for all three of us even though she said it wasn't a case of re-doing the whole census, that is wasn't 'cos the government didn't trust us to fill it in properly (as dh rather snippily asked her at this point) but that "some people forget that granny is in a care home". She didn't even check if dh had been Person 1 (he wasn't).

She wasn't to know that today is our wedding anniversary and we had been otherwise occupied Wink

GettinTrimmer · 16/05/2011 17:34

Pretty that lady wouldn't have been a census collector, everybody finished -thankfully on 6th May. She is probably a CCS Interviewer (don't know what CCS stands for!). I did get a few people out of the bath (everyone seemed to have a bath on Saturday afternoons!) Enjoy wa. You going out?

prettybird · 16/05/2011 17:53

Thanks for that Trimmer - thanks to your info, I have now found out that it stands for Census Coverage Survey and we should have had a letter end of April/beginning of May saying that we were one of the households selected, according to this information page - which we didn't get so she may have come to wrong house after all

She neither asked us if we had had a letter or asked if it is was convenient and both dh and I can be very snippy if not asked in the right way Grin despite partly because we have both worked in marketing and know how things like this should be done.

GettinTrimmer · 16/05/2011 18:12

Yes, she should have been trained, and we were told to always check that it's the right address. Are you going to complain?

smokinaces · 16/05/2011 18:23

Howdi.

Locarbing is going wellish. yogurt and fruit for breakfast. mackeral salad for lunch, lamb and veg for dinner. am really craving something crunchy though - like breadsticks or crisps or toast. I even had salad at Pizza Hut last night!!! But, it seems to be doing something already after the weekend - scales this morning reckoned a 1lb loss, and my stomach is so much less bloated. Lets see weigh in this Friday.

I adore crisps. Could eat them all day every day. Alltime favourite are sea salt and cider vinegar posh crisps. I also love wotsits. and Bacon Fries. In fact most crisps.

Thats probably why I was so fat!

smokinaces · 16/05/2011 18:24

Just thought - the only crisps I cant eat are Quavers. They just smell and taste like sick. Even if I am drunk desperate I cant eat them!

prettybird · 16/05/2011 18:28

It's not worth it - it just means that technically we contribute to the perceived statistical uncertainty that comes uner the FAQ:

". Is it compulsory to take part in the Census Coverage Survey (CCS)?

No, but the more people who take part in the CCS, the more accurate our count of the population will be."

...even though I know that what I we submitted on the census form is 100% correct.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/05/2011 19:07

Good luck Smokin with the low carb. You just have to get in the zone... Lol hark at me.

It is weird. I couldn't get to sleep last night because I felt to rough and I know that was diet led. But on the upside, I love not feeling bloated and my tummy has disappeared. In fact I was going to put an ad in the local paper to see whether anyone had seen it. Grin

The tummy going down is such a nice feeling - mine is so much less bloated already. Sadly not gone completely, but already feeling better - which is a motivation to carry on.

handful of haribo not too good. but had a banana, a carrot and some diet coke. going to curl up in bed with a film again shortly I think. Saves me picking Grin
