Am waiting for Opticians to ring back for appt. Doctors said they want me to get eyes checked before they see me to rule that out first! The frustrating thing is I'll probably have to wait a week before I get new glasses! Very frustrating!

What are you lot like giving alcohol to these 'serious' athletes!!!! :o Hmm

Had a yoghurt for brekkie, and about to share a banana with DD! :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 14:01

Ah well, I shall drink the fizzy as I watch the Olympic cyclists whoosh by.
I won't be low carbing by then Grin

So far
banana, 2 yogs, 1 apple
Just about to have veggie soup
not sure what later..

bebejones · 09/05/2011 14:18

Can't get in at opticians til Saturday! :( Hope it doesn't get worse by then. Struggling, find bright situations really overwhelming as my eye can't keep up & focus properly!

So far today I've had
yoghurt & half glass OJ
2 ryvita with philly & cucumber
some grapes and an apple

Having bean burgers and salad for dinner and prob a sf jelly for afters! :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 15:28

Quite frantically hungry right now, haven't quite made it to the soup, but I want DOUGHNUTS!!! x

OP posts:
prettybird · 09/05/2011 15:46

Step away from the doughnuts! Grin

If you really insist on having one, then you can only have one if you go for a 30 minute/2.5 mile run before you do Grin

I'm feeling very smug: went for a just under 2.5 mile run this morning with dh, then did the Shred (although only the first time since Thursday) and I've still got an hour and a quarter Pilates lesson tonight :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 15:49

Sighs

I'm not running anywhere today Grin

I've had my soup now so feeling less jittery and desperate!
I didn't actually have any doughnuts near me, its just I had a vision, possibly leading from my dream last night!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 15:51

You can polish your lovely halo if you have time that is

Pretty that is very impressive!

Piste you will be rewarded on the scales this week, lol at dreaming about doughnuts Grin How long are you sticking to low carbing for?

Foodfocusing to make a change from points and sticking to 1200 calories today.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 16:11

Low carbing until
A) I either fall into the gutter or
B) for a month, stopping on my birthday on June 9th!

Hello all!

Had a fairly good day. Yogurt and fruit for breakfast, water crackers with low fat philli and fruit and yogurt for lunch. sweet chilli chicken stir fry for dinner. And a bag of snack a jacks.

But did give into the Easter Egg chocolate - but it got its own back on me by hurting the tooth I need to get fixed!

Had a fab weekend in Birmingham - but apple martinis are not so good for the waisline or the sobriety factor!!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 20:41

tuna and salad this evening.
Let my joy be unconfined!

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 20:41

PS Apple martinis are not good for the waistline or sobriety levels, Smokin, but they are good for the soul Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/05/2011 06:49

glad your weekend away was fun smokin

piste stay away from dogs nuts as hubby used to call them

pretty well done!!!

bebe hows your poor body feeling?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2011 06:58

Lol at dogs nuts. I'd be Confused if I was dreaming about them!!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 10/05/2011 07:08

weird things, not a lover of them tbh

bebejones · 10/05/2011 09:02

Shock How could you NOT love doughnuts?!

Have put my contacts in today & actually it has marginally improved my vision. Probably because the lens in next to my eye IYSWIM? Hmm Who knows?! Will see how it goes, I give it til lunchtime til I'm sick of them & take them out!! Not worn them in years!

Meal plan for the day:
B - Yoghurt & OJ
L - Egg salad & fruit
D - chicken stir fry (I won't have noodles) :)

bebejones · 10/05/2011 12:25

Piste!! Your thread is DoD! So impressed! Might even have to start watching the apprentice!! :o

prettybird · 10/05/2011 14:44

The Apprentice. Meh. Anyway I've made point on Piste's thread so I'll not repeat it here

Anyway, did the Shred this morning. Nor running today - I'm going to run every alternate day initially to see how my Achilles tendon holds up.

So far today: 2 boiled eggs, a glass of OJ, two cheese triangles and 2 satsumas and a square of 70% dark chocolate

Tuna steak tonight.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2011 15:10

Grin re The Apprentice - I agree Pretty with all you say, Dh and I love laughing at them because they are such god awful pretentious idiotic upstarts who seem to know nothing about nothing. Dh works in business too and he gets driven mad by them being such tits, and by their thinking that's how one should behave, that includes Alan Sugar. As you rightly say the very antithesis of all that is good practice. Often it's so cringy we have to hide behind the cushions.

But somehow given all the above, we are quite addicted Confused

bebe wtf is DoD??!!

OP posts:
prettybird · 10/05/2011 15:39

I maybe can't thole it (good Scottish word Wink) because for the final 5 years of my job (before the company was taken over and I was made redundant) I was working for a bully who was himself working for a bully - both of whom were in the Alan Sugar mould :(

It's taken me 2 years to even start thinking about working for a company again :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2011 16:01

I love your Scottish words Pretty!

No, there is no need for bullying behaviour in any walk of life, in any work place, at any time. I am sorry you had such a bad experience. People should be mutually respectful and supportive. I strongly believe everyone, no matter what qualifications they have, or level of experience, or age has something important and valid to bring to my school team. The strength of any team comes when it's comes together, is united and pulling in the same direction. And you don't achieve that by bullying. Sad

OP posts:
prettybird · 10/05/2011 16:07

... or, to quote an old American secretary of dh's, "You get more with sugar than you get with shite" Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2011 16:28

Grin Love the quote - how very true!

OP posts:
bebejones · 10/05/2011 16:42

Discussion of the Day!

Apprentice usually winds me up, that's why I don't watch it as DH just ends up shouting & grumbling about it!!

Can't get my contacts out...going to go try again....eyes hurting!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 10/05/2011 16:45

OH bebe, I am such an arse of course it is Discussion of the Day!

I am special you may exalt me...
