I think milk is mostly protein & fat! Carbs prob in the tsp of brown sugar! Can't drink coffee without it! Blush

I had a yoghurt for brekkie with my coffee. Fish & salad for lunch & then prob soup for dinner, with some sf jelly & fruit as snacks! (That's the plan anyway!)

I'm feeling absolutely rubbish. I have a nasty suspiscion I might be starting to have a MS relapse. Have caved & had a few chips as am feeling so out of it & dizzy DH was starting to worry. Tis the only 'bad' thing today, despite me making cakes (not for me) didn't even lick the bowl! :o

Early night for me tonight I think. Need to try & get a good rest & see if it stops these nasty symptoms! :(

Well done Pretty & Smalline on losses :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/05/2011 19:24

Bebejones - hope it's not a relapse ( understatement ) and that it is something you can sleep off. I will let you off the chips, you can still be Porthos!

I didn't really eat anything at the regatta other than some salad and half the meat bit of a burger, and had diet cokes and water. i could have eaten masses and drunk loads of booze like everyone else Sad

So tired now though after our 5.30 start. Our house still has a faint whiff of onions about it, and yes they really made me cry!!
Waves to everyone x

Am just wondering why I feel like I'm burning on the inside? Really weird. Is it ketones or the start of the menopause? Hmm

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/05/2011 11:52

pretty and smalline congrats on loss :)

bebe hope its not a relapse of ms :( have you any drugs that can help relieve pan/symptoms?

bebejones · 08/05/2011 12:09

Am hopeful it's not a relapse, my right eye has gone ever so slightly lazy, so hoping that I might just need a new prescription in my glasses. Feeling a bit disorientated!

Not sure I can keep up the total low carbing. Feeling pretty grim. Can manage no bread, cereal, crisps, chocolate (just) but might have to reintroduce jacket potatoes & homemade skin-on oven chips. And stick to the ff calorie counting. It's given me a definite, and much needed, kick up the bum!

prettybird · 08/05/2011 12:19

Hope it's not a relapse Bebe.

On FF - try to make sure that the protein line is above the line, while the carbs line is below the line. That might be as far towards Low Carbing that you should go - and will be similar to the WW Propoints approach.

bebejones · 08/05/2011 13:15

As I see it, carbs are the main energy providers, right? And if I get over tired my MS symptoms are prone to flaring up. So if I have too little energy/carbs then I'm going to get tired!

Have had ryvita & lf philly & cucumber for lunch with 3/4 of an apple & a yoghurt. Have made bean chilli for dinner which I will have with a v small jacket & salad. DD & DH are having it with tortillas & sour cream & cheese! Envy I'm still well below calories for the day with that meal plan in place. And still no bread or other bad carbs!

GettinTrimmer · 08/05/2011 13:24

Although it makes sense to fill up on protein - I had 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast with 1 slice of toast, felt full all morning.

Bebe sounds sensible to have ryvitas, the way I see it they are a good carb as low on the GI index.

Piste I think that's something to do with ketosis, will you stick to low carbing?

Pretty how are you mum & dad?

Having surprise birthday tea for my dad this afternoon, he is 80 on Tuesday, so carb city here with pizza, sandwiches, cakes. I will force myself to have small portions!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/05/2011 15:02

I don't think the low carbing is for you Bebe, its just not worth it, you really don't want any flare ups, but do get your eyes tested!

Pretty - how are your mum and dad, after that mad day you had?

I am going to carry on with this low carb business, although I have felt weird, and a bit like a space cadet!

GT - enjoy the birthday party! Hope your dad does too.

Well done Smalline and Pretty on the losses, you are doing well.
Hug for Blondes

Not sure about my mum. Dad would let me know if there had been any further developments.

Dad has spent the last couple of days in bed but thinks he is getting better as the antibiotics take effect (he had developed pneumonia Shock). However, at least there were no shadows on his lung: I had a panic at one point 'cos 2 of his colleagues (one co-worker, one who graduated with him) died from the same form of lung cancer, even though they were non-smokers (but they were all radiologists).

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/05/2011 20:04

Pretty - your poor dad. Glad he is getting better, but what a worry re the radiology. Sad

I've just been running, only did two and a half K mostly on the time front. But I really didn't have bags of energy. It was ok though.

Had two yogs for breakfast
Ham and salad at lunch
2 pears and some melon this pm
Not sure what later, maybe nothing, may just go to bed.

Bebe - are you feeling better this evening?

OP posts:
prettybird · 08/05/2011 20:24

I watched the Glasgow Women's 10k go past our house today. Supported them all, right to the last few stragglers while dh and I tempted them with the glasses of Cava we were drinking specially for the occasion

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/05/2011 20:46

5K is bad enough, 10K is ridiculous, I'd be taking your booze as I crawled past!

OP posts:
prettybird · 08/05/2011 21:48

We're only about 1.25km from the start - yet some are already "pecking" (Godd Scottish expression).

We did take out a couple of plastic bubbly glasses to offer - which people left on the garden wall further down the road, so I could go and get it again (first one disappeared - ironically the only glass given to someone we knew!)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/05/2011 22:26

I think I'd probably start pecking early too Pretty!
You are kind though. Next year we have the Olympic road cycle race come along at the end of our road, along our High Street. Do you think they'd like fizzy too?! Grin

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 09/05/2011 06:35

I dreamt last night that I was eating chocolate eclairs - you know the ones with cream in and chocolate on the top.

I'm not desperate for carbs at all then ?!
Blush

OP posts:
prettybird · 09/05/2011 09:22

Nope - don't think the Olympic cyclists will accept any bubbly! Grin
