FjorgynAndHotWater · 03/12/2010 09:08

Oh bugger crispy Sad Are you maybe suffering pre-menstrual bloating (which if it was me would also explain twingy back)? whatever it is, don't let it get you down, just try again to be good and am sure it'll come back off again. You've been between 10 - 10.5 for aaaages now so are doing really well Smile

I am down 1.25lb today which isn't bad at all considering it was DD's party on saturday. Down 4.25lb on my regaining high but still a long way to go...

Well done on your -1, it's extra impressive as you've been incapacitated as well as being soooo close to your target Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/12/2010 17:16

Sadly no PMS here, that was last week on my much lighter weigh in

Hurrah for your losses ladies. Well done, and well deserved Smile

santashappychick · 03/12/2010 18:37

You will get back on crisp I have faith in you Smile

20km done as well as running around like a mad woman all day... That's it for me now til Monday so fingers crossed I don't go too made this weekend Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 05/12/2010 11:33

Ate like a bread-addicted pig yesterday Blush but did manage 12 miles on my bike while my hair dye was working its grey-banishing magic so not a complete wash out for the day. Still managed to be up 4 this morning Shock but at least 3 of those must be bread-based water retention so trying to be good today in the hope of weeing it all out again.

enya hope you are having a lovely time Smile

crispy I hope your back is feeling better and you're managing to be a bit healthy this weekend Smile

ursula come back!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 05/12/2010 23:37

No chance to bike today as DS didn't go to sleep until 9pm Hmm but been reasonably good with food and we were out walking for over an hour this afternoon. Not fast though! Planning a traipse round the shops tomorrow which should burn a few calories, as long as I can keep out of Caffe Nero...

Hi all,

So if I've got this right, this thread is for those kinda wanting to lose a bit of weight, but mainly needing a kick up the arse to do some exercise and stop themselves stuffing cakes down their throats 24/7?

If so, can I join Grin?

I signed up to do a marathon next November Shock (as motivation) and haven't quite got into any schedule yet. I've now done 2x3miles runs and am back at the climbing wall once a week. I want to run 3 times a week, climb and do a cross training thing. Tonight however it's raining so I enjoyed a very nice brownie.

DD is 9 months so looking forward to toning myself up as well.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/12/2010 12:47

Hi climberchick Smile. You've pretty much got it there, some of us have got to within a whisker of the weight they want (not me though...) and we are trying to chivvy each other along to step away from the cake and into some exercise (or ExerSazz) in honour of one of the founding members of the thread.

The rules are try and do 4x ExerSazz per week (at least 30 minutes each of pulse-raising activity) and we do a weigh in on Friday, before the ravages of the weekend Grin

I find it quite helpful to post most days and confess my sins re food, in an attempt to avoid the lard for the shame of then admitting it...

Anyway, school's back open today (thank feck) so dropped DD off and walked into town. Have done about 3 hours of walking / lugging heavy shopping , no stop off in Caffe Nero and no pastries bought to scoff when i got home. Will try and do bike again tonight.

crispy and enya time to check in for a fresh week of healthful gorgeousness Smile

ursula where are you?????

santashappychick · 06/12/2010 14:01

Lol fjor Grin

fairly horrific weekend foodwise and wine Blush oh an af arrival...

However have completed my 20km on bike and will do some sit ups later!!

blueberrysantabait · 06/12/2010 17:15

This is the one and only time I will come on here and be happy I have gained Xmas Grin which means my body has stopped trying to eat itself and is now stable! Unfortunately for me and my love of all the pate, cheese, bread, pasta and chips it is time for the affair to end. tomorrow we start again in ernest with no bread, 2 l of water a day and 3 meals a day!

ClimberChick · 06/12/2010 21:25

No bread Shock I've never understood how people can forgo carbs. I could anything if it's in a sandwich.

I'm going to do a run tonight. There saying it, will make happen, FACT!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/12/2010 21:51

Wrap up warm climberchick!

I only eat bread at the weekends now, I love it soooo much but once you have added butter and marmalade, or butter and cheese, or camembert the calories really pile on so easier just to go without.

Have done 12 miles on my bike again tonight so am fully ExerSazzed for today.

Hurrah for stabilising bbbb I hope we can help you keep away from those yummy things at least until a bit nearer Christmas Grin

enya weekends don't count Grin

ClimberChick · 06/12/2010 21:59

ha, I'm in California [smug emoticon]. The sun is shining and it's 15 degs atm. Hence my posts will be at odd times.

do you have good gloves when cycling then?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 06/12/2010 22:21

You can go off people you know... Wink

The biking I do is all strictly stationary on my exercise bike so no gloves needed. It's bloody freezing here, -7 already and not even 10.30pm, so even if I had a real bike I wouldn't be out on it Grin

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 06/12/2010 23:55

Evening Smile

Bit pickled and my swim this avo turned into a sauna and jacuzzi . Also have eaten my body weight in fajitas and drunk copious amounts of wine Blush

Welcome Climber and very Envy of the sunshine

-8 here (or so said my friendly taxi driver!)

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 10:20

crispy you slacker Grin Sounds like a lovely evening though Envy

I actually got in my car yesterday evening, after 10 minutes scraping all the snow off it I actually drove it Shock Only to turn it round mind you! It's facing the right way now at least so hoping to get to the supermarket in a while for lots of lovely healthy food. MIL wants to meet us there 'for lunch' ooh the glamour of lunch at asda Hmm but gave the excuse of health health health so will only have a cuppa with her.

OP posts:
santashappychick · 07/12/2010 18:08

crispy your evening sounded lush Grin..

did my 20km before my marthon hairdressing appointment.. now have hair extentions Grin.. if i gain lots this week its because of the extra hair GrinGrinGrin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 21:35

PMSL at the heavy hair excuse enya Grin It does look fab on fb, looking forward to seeing it for real on Monday Smile

Done 20 miles today, 6 first then 14 later. I must be lighter on Friday. Have cheated with a finger of fudge and two jelly sweets but that's only 150 calories and I only had a bit of cheese and some fruit for lunch.

OP posts:
FjorgynAndHotWater · 08/12/2010 12:55

Very quiet on here, hope you're not off stuffing your faces Grin

Had a (nicely) surprising mid-week weigh in this morning, although this is probably due to upset tummy (sorry TMI Blush) and am on the train again today hence mucho welly-walking. There is a tin full of Quality Street and a jar of kitkats in the office; have so far managed to avoid them completely Smile

OP posts:
santashappychick · 08/12/2010 13:54

I'm here Smile

Well done on the sweetie serve fjor and your fabulous biking tho sorry to hear about your poorly tum tum

done my 20km but no weigh in for me too scared after the weekend indulgence Blush

will do some sit up when I plonk dd2 in the bath Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/12/2010 14:00

Sorry, sorry, i have been vair vair rubbish and in hiding Blush

After no swim or pilates and face stuffing on Mon, i didn't walk to school yesterday due to school visit and nativity. Walked about a mile and that was it (albeit in -7). No gym today as DD1 poorly so i have shredded (hurrah!) Level 1 with weights and with both DDs Grin. The sight of DD2 doing cycle crunches did make me giggle Grin

I MUST do some proper exercise tomorrow and will limp through to Friday with 3.5 ExerSazz (did a long walk at the w/e thank fuck goodness). However we are away again this weekend and going out for dinner & takeaway

No gain/no loss would be a godsend this week Hmm

Great biking ladies Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 08/12/2010 15:56

Hurrah, you're both back! Sadly not in time to stop me from eating three Roses chocs... Blush but I was out for over an hour at lunchtime not according to my flexisheet and walked them off before they were eaten lame excuse

Am v impressed at both your efforts to combine childcare with exercise Grin

Crispy you have today and tomorrow to be good, and just try not to go too crazy at the weekend and you'll be fine.

enya don't forget, any weight gain is just hair Wink

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 08/12/2010 16:04

Oh no fuck Fjorn - i decided to do a treat for illing DD1 and cooked up some popcorn. Neither of the DDs liked it so i ate the whole bloody lot myself Blush

Well done on the extra stolen exercise Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 08/12/2010 21:35
