Half a stone challenge

enjoysthesunshine · 22/09/2010 10:39

My favourite jeans fit a person half a stone lighter than me.

Anyone fancy joining me to shake off a few pounds? I am planning to cut back on treats (but god-forbid, not cut them out!) and move a little more.

I'm starting now! Smile

chicken and tarragon pie, 2 new potatoes and sugar snap peas

I have also ordered the 30 day shred dvd -looking forward to getting into that although it looks hard work! Anyone else here into it?

Any other food diaries for today?

p.s weighed in at 10 st 2 this morning...just ( had to go for a wee and strip completely naked to get the scales to shift!!!)

I did okay yesterday apart from Blush {whispers} half a bowl of buttered popcorn and four chocolate cupcakes... DS loves to bake, and those cupcakes were soooo good. The popcorn was DH and I curled up on the sofa watching a DVD in the evening for the last time before his work gets really busy (he'll be doing 16 hour days from today until April) But the rest of the day was positively saintly and I think a 'good' day today and lots of exercise at the weekend will balance it out. Today was/will be:-

B: Porridge with 0.1% milk and linseed
Snack: Skinny cappucino
L: Cucumber sticks with low fat houmous, Home-made tuscan bean soup, fat free yogurt with dried apricot, chopped pear and a dessert spoonful of chopped walnuts and brazil nuts
Snack: After that lunch??? I think I"ll last. In fact I think I might need a snooze Wink
D: Very low fat chilli con carne with jacket sweet potato

Tomorrow's plan is:
B: Lean bacon with mushrooms + tomatoes
L: Beans on toast
D: Chicken and chickpea curry

Here comes the weekend....

Hello Half Stoners!!
Welcome to all new posters and keep your ideas and tips coming!!

Bec, your cupcakes sound lush, EnvyI am a rubbish baker can just about manage a decent carrot cake and patisseries in my part of Spain are rather rubbish basic. So nope, never seen a cupcake round here. (starts writing business plan for twee cupcake shop).

It's saturday so I thought I'd say hello and give everyone a kick up the jacksy just to avoid weekend naughtiness. Grin

I have been rather good but must admit that yesterday, after eating pasta for the first time in 6 weeks ended up feeling ravenous. Ended up going out of the house for a bit and had protein shake for dinner.

Hope you ladies are doing great, keep posting!

Helloooooo

Chorizo is now a teeny weeny little sausage!!

OMG!!!! So excited
from 54,05 Kg to 52Kg in 4 weeks!!

The downside is Iam going through a break up, messy and horrible, after 4 years with someone I thought was the one Sad.

Selfish bloody men who can't settle down and are pushing 40.

becstarlitsea · 13/10/2010 12:28

Hi Chorizo, are we the only ones here now? My broadband has gone down so am typing this in a cafe, and hence the long silence from me... So sorry to hear about the break up. That sucks. Hope things are going okay today.

But you've done so well at losing weight, sounds like it brought a smile to your face! I weighed in today - lost another pound, so am 10st 6 (I was 10st 10 at the start of the thread). And I've got so much more energy - I'm feeling 10 years younger! Doing well today:

B: fat free natural yoghurt with pear and walnuts
Snack: Rice cake and marmite
L: 1/2 jacket sweet potato with mixed salads, some parmesan and olive oil dressing
snack: dried apricots and brazil nuts
Dinner will be chicken, chickpea and courgette curry with a little wholegrain basmati rice.

Hi Everyone

Hi Bec, thanks for your lovely message.

Apologies for spreading my misery on a weightloss thread. I need to stop being so impulsive and jumping to conclusions Blush. My DP and I have sorted things out, so sorry for my outburst.

On another note, I seem to be chugging along nicely with my weigtloss, will weigh in tomorrow, I am now 52 Kg which is 8.1 st.

Was invited to a BBQ yesterday and was v. good, there was no shite on offer Grin. Grilled chops, roasted veg, crudites and home made yogurt dip. Homemade coconut cake w. lemon sorbet for pudding. Was in my best behaviour maybe the fact BBQ was hosted by glamorous french woman with killer pilates body and 2 children had something to do with it..Envy

Hope you are all doing great!

Bec: How do you make chicken and chickpea curry? sounds lush!

Forgot

Today I have had

Coffee w. skimmed milk and sweetener. Porridge made with water and skimmed milk.

40 minutes weights and abs. Planning to go on a bike ride now.

Dinner will be something with mince and veg, but I am not inspired, though.

Please post your yummy meals, I need ideas!!

DontMentionChorizo · 25/10/2010 16:10

Weeeell

It looks like it's only me leftShock.

I a plodding along just fine but have had no weightloss (stuck on 52 Kg)

Need to reduce my food intake and up exercise, I think.
Last night I had a pizza Margerita from a local "restaurant". It was hoooorrible. I feel I need to apologise to my stomach after that.

Will be good from now on.
