Morning everyone. I’m new to the thread. Started last Monday and lost 1.5lb in the first week which I’m happy about. The only symptom I’m struggling with is the nausea. What is everyone doing to manage it. Can’t face breakfast but know that if I have a little bit of something it might help. Going to get some ginger biscuits and ginger tea today. What works for you guys?

SweetLathyrus · 21/09/2026 15:03

@PituitaryPippa is there a specific trigger or time that you experience the nausea? I found black coffee in the morning was not good if I hadn't had at least something small first.
Ginger biscuits (in moderation) are palatable and effective, or something small but high protein/nutritional density like a few plain nuts.

I've been weighing myself on Wednesdays, because that's be day I first started. but I did weigh-in this morning because this was the first weekend I had a balance of eating and wanting to eat because the suppression had been really extreme for me to begin with. I'd also had a couple of glasses of wine. So I wanted to see if the weigh loss would continue.

It did - last Weds 64.4kg, this morning 64kg!

Obviously, this could be natural variation, but I think it demonstrates that continuing with smaller meals and cutting out the sweet snacks and puddings which were mostly boredom and habit anyway, will work for me.

amusedpyjamas · 21/09/2026 16:13

Just reordered 1.5mg for my second month. I might regret it but going on holiday in a couple of weeks so want to enjoy that without feeling like I just don’t want anything. The scales tell me I haven’t lost anything for a week but I’ve got my period and I’m still eating less - smaller portions, healthier choices, no snacking so I’m feeling ok about it.

I think my main worry about all of this is that my old habits will return when I stop - emotional eating and binge eating. But trying to be kind to myself and think about the goal - being healthier so I can be here for as long as possible for my young child.

Sometimes I feel like I use this chat as a bit of a diary, not really looking for answers just helps to write it down I think!

how are you all doing transitioning onto 4mg?

UncleColm · 21/09/2026 17:02

I've just ordered my second month too...and am going to stay on 1.5mg as well. It's working for me. So I don't see a need to go up a dose at this time.

No not really. Definitely can’t face coffee and I was okay with tea but this morning that made me feel sick and I didn’t really shake the nausea until after lunchtime 🤷‍♀️

I wasn’t we’ll end of last week (cold symptoms exhausted headache) so had 3 days off tablets - had only done a week on them anyways. I had some slight pain in right hand side at back and was worried gallbladder or pancreas but emailed the prescriber and they didn’t reply which thought was weird ? (Did email on a Sunday ?). Anyways fine now and been very hungry today as clearly the dose has left my system. Starting again tomorrow. Lost around 1-1.5kg so far.

Hope you feel better. Take care. Who is your prescriber that isn't good they didn't get back to you . That is good loss so far.

I paused my subscription as I needed to see if I had any reactions to the tablets as I do/can react very badly to medications. I now cannot unpause it, have messaged Bolt Saturday and I'm still waiting for their response 😮

Does anyone know if I can unpause it myself on the app as I can't see a way?

Day 21 check in

Starting weight 66.7 kg
Current weight 63.4kg

Which means I have broken the 10 st barrier (just).

TwilightAb · 23/09/2026 09:45

2 weeks in for me. Another 2 pounds lost. Total loss of 9.5 pounds. I'm not sure whether to stay on the 1.5 mg or go up to 4mg. The suppression is there but has got weaker. I am not craving sugar which is massive for me. I'm worried about potential side effects of upping the dose and also don't want to suppress my appetite to the point where I am having to force myself to eat.

SweetLathyrus · 23/09/2026 11:54

@TwilightAb your experience is just like mine, suppression is lifting a little (but I needed it to), but I have no desire for sugar at all. I think sugar and snacks is where most of my additional weight this year came from, so I'm good with that.

PenCreed · 23/09/2026 15:08

No weight loss this week and the suppression has definitely eased off so I’m upping to 4mg at the end of the month. Voy think I should have lost more than I have which is a little discouraging. But my favourite trousers feel like they fit better!

SweetLathyrus · 23/09/2026 15:46

@PenCreed , as long as you're happy with the rate, that's all that matters.

Getting back into well-loved clothes is awesome. I have a couple of kg to go before I manage that, especially for my Autumn/Winter work dresses, but fingers crossed I'll be there by the end of October.

In the meantime, my rings are definitely less snug this week!

Fireyflies · 23/09/2026 17:32

I have a large bag of much-loved dresses that I got too plump for but couldn't bare to get rid of, in the hope that I'd fit back into them some day. I've had them for years but am now feeling pretty hopeful that I'll get to wear them again 🙂

Autumnfun1 · 23/09/2026 23:27

I have managed to fit a ring that was too small for a while and feel more comfortable in clothes and only been a few pounds

I did a sneaky mid week weigh in this morning and I have dropped below 90kg for the first time in ages.... delighted.

So I'm 4kg down in four weeks. No side effects and am going to stay on the 1.5mg dose for another 4 weeks.

I have two pairs of brand new jeans that won't fit me and I didnt take back. Fingers crossed I will be in them by Christmas .

notasorangeashelooks · 24/09/2026 09:13

Just started this morning so fingers crossed it works for me.

REDB99 · 24/09/2026 10:55

I’ve been finding the side effects hard to manage even on 1.5, feeling sick and terrible head pain. I had a 2 day break and have decided to take 1.5 every other day for a couple of weeks to see if that helps. I’m only 2 weeks in but will weigh myself in 2 weeks to see if the every other day still has an effect. My craving for sweet things has pretty much disappeared and I had a hot chocolate last night that I couldn’t finish as it tasted odd.

loveev · 24/09/2026 11:22

i started mid August .

I have so far lost 14lbs .
im currently on the 4mg, and still have 13 days to go .

still have suppression but my hunger is definitely coming back . So will probably go up to the 9mg.

sw : 14 stone 9lbs
cw: 13 stone 9lb . (As of Tuesday gone)

Hi all, I started the wegovy pill a couple of months ago and havent lost a single pound! I honestly dont know what I'm doing wrong. I'm half way through 4mg dose and some days I notice a little bit of a difference in appetite but most days not really. I wondered if anyone was experiencing the same. I dont know whether to go up a dose next month or call it a day and try injections instead. I was happy when the pills came out because I'm not keen on injecting myself, but I just dont see the point in spending so much money with no results. Any tips/advice/ideas very welcome!

I'm exactly the same and have started a thread on this. I have ordered 9mg but if I still have 0 weight loss at the end of next month I'm giving up!

Wonderknicks · 24/09/2026 13:39

I lost 6kg in the first couple of months but seem to have stalled now. It's my second month on 4mg so I guess I'll go up to 9 & see how that goes. Food noise has returned. I didn't even really understand what it was, but now it's back I do 😂

Well done!!
Im dying to break the 12 stone barrier, Im down from 14.6 - started late August and just opened my second box of 1.5mg… but weight loss is slowing down and food noise is whispering to me, so Im going to order the 4mg and try those. It’s nice to get in some of my old stuff again and I’m far more energetic than I was as a chonker, so onwards and upwards!
