@Fireyflies by the end of the first day I had really strong suppression and I struggled to want to eat for the first week. Not from side effects, just could think of anything I wanted to eat. I've only just started to feel like I have more of a balance in the last two or three days. Still no desire to snack, eat sweet things, or drink wine, and the amount I eat before I feel full and need to stop is very significantly reduced.

But it is different for everyone. I didn't like the really strong suppression, which is why I'm doing a second month on the 1.5 starter dose. I'd be very happy just to continue not needing to prowl the house for snacks!

2 1/4 pounds down after one week which I’m pleased with as I only have a stone to lose and am 5ft 1 and 47 and have been completely unable to even shift half a pound in the past year despite trying! My craving for sweet food is completely gone and I’m just not at all hungry, having to remind myself to eat!

I’m only on 1.5 but may stick with this for the second month if the scales keep moving in the right direction.

Hi all, I started the wegovy pill a couple of months ago and havent lost a single pound! I honestly dont know what I'm doing wrong. I'm half way through 4mg dose and some days I notice a little bit of a difference in appetite but most days not really. I wondered if anyone was experiencing the same. I dont know whether to go up a dose next month or call it a day and try injections instead. I was happy when the pills came out because I'm not keen on injecting myself, but I just dont see the point in spending so much money with no results. Any tips/advice/ideas very welcome!

Now one week in. Not been well with cold last few days and also had absolutely no desire to eat barely. Unsure if combination of feeling under weather or fact had tablets a week so stronger suppression ? But yeh - not hungry and don’t want to snack. Thirstier but not as much as day 1-3. Feel rotten with this virus so may not take tomorrow tablet. Hope it’s ok to do that?

I've slipped out of obese and into an overweight BMI today! 🎉

Well done you!

MulberryFresser · 19/09/2026 07:23

I’ve had a horrendous migraine this week with vomiting - I think the lack of calories is bad for me! Missed a dose but ready to get back on to it. Supposed to be on 4mg next week. I’ve only lost 2kg but belly is less bloated and people are noticing.

It’s ok to miss one if you feel sick - speak to the AI doctor on the app if unsure. Feel better soon x

Upto 10pc of people are non-responders I think. I presume that you are doing other things right, steps, sleeping adequately, water intake, exercise, eating protein and not eating unhealthy things?

squidgem · 19/09/2026 09:22

I'm just over 3 weeks in now and lost just under 2lb this week. The food noise and hunger has been creaping back in the last few days, so I am going to start 4mg from tomorrow. I'm nervous about side effects and I'm thinking of starting an every other day pattern at first.

I did a month on 1.5 and I’m now a week in on 4mg. No extra noticeable side effects for me since upping the dose

Ugh I'm struggling today. It's day 9 on 1.5 and I'm having a lot of side effects...waves of nausea and headache.
What can I take to help the nausea, any ideas please??? It's coming in waves and is grim

Ok I'm on day 16 (I think) and the nausea has mostly settled down now. I still get some low level nausea but not the unpleasant waves of it that I was doing.
I actually took a couple of days off it then restarted and since then it's been ok. I'm going to continue with the 1.5 next month while my body gets used to it.

Week 1 and 6lbs down. I do find some days i have stronger suppression than others. Is this unusual?

It’s not unusual. Hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle can affect the appetite suppressing effects of GLP-1’s.

I started on 1.5mg on 19th July and I've lost 6.8lbs. I will admit it's been effortless but I'm not sure I can justify the money for less than 1lb a week. I moved onto 9mg 3 days ago. I'm going to try this dose and then one month at 25mg and if my weight loss hasn't improved I'm going to try the jabs.

I'm so upset. I've had some great days when I felt it was working but mainly I've felt nothing and recently all I feel is nauseous

MulberryFresser · 20/09/2026 08:51

Of note / (sorry if TMI but may be helpful to others) - I was v constipated on my period and slightly loose afterwards. Trying to get back on an even keel.

Fireyflies · 20/09/2026 11:41

Am on Day 4 now and still no discernable impact whatsoever. Appetite is same as always. No side effects. Does the pill just not affect some people?

scaredysquiggle · 20/09/2026 13:37

Day 5 now. I’ve had some nauseous and I’m definitely seeing a reduction in my appetite. However if I start eating I really struggle to stop. My energy levels are still good. I’m due to weigh in on Wednesday morning. Don’t think I will see much change this week but hopeful for moving forwards

I am very tempted to try the pills, but anxious about side effects. Are there any over 60s taking them? Medication often works differently on older people, so would be interested to hear any experiences of those 60+. Thanks.

I'm over 60. The only side effects I've had is constipation. It's not bad, but definitely there. No nausea or anything else. Very slow weight loss but it is happening.
I'm eating a lot less, but I can eat a lot of someone puts food in front of me, so I just try to cater for myself & not eat with other people too often. It's not helped by the fact that I haven't told anyone so they expect me to eat a normal amount!
For example yesterday I had: Greek yoghurt, honey & seeds (was out of fruit). A normal portion of dhal, veg curry & rice (lunch), ryvita in the evening & a glass of wine.
The big difference is only really needing 2 meals a day & no desire to snack at all. I would usually eat a pack of crisps a day.

First day of 4mg today. Haven’t noticed any more suppression than I did with 1.5mg. Hopefully it’s a cumulative effect 🤞🏻

Trying to stave off the third migraine in a week. I won’t increase beyond 4mg and I think it’s making me under eat. I’ll do the minimum 3 months and cancel.
