Hi all,

Ive bit the bullet and have ordered and been accepted to start mounjaro through Voy.

something I’ve been debating for a while but finally decided to try it. I had a baby last year and have managed the get back down to pre baby weight, but still have a bit extra to lose, I want to lose around 1.5/2st.

I regularly exercise through swimming a few times a week but diet is very up and down hence being at a standstill with my weight, so wanted the extra help to create some better relationships with food. I’ll be good all week and then ruin it in a few days with takeaways and snacks!

Nervous but excited!

Wanted to make this thread for anyone else starting their journey soon! Anyone else in the same boat?

Current weight: 12st 10 / 5ft5

I am paying to use nutracheck, it feels worth it to make sure I am on track.

Hi how often are you all weighing? Thanks

I have been weighing every couple of days which I probably shouldn’t as I noticed slight fluctuations. I am just going to weigh every Friday from now on.

How about you? How are you getting on?

LetitGoDLP · 16/06/2026 21:11

I’m actually addicted to daily weighing, I really wish I wasn’t.
I am going up to 5mg for the next pen, have 1 more dose left on 2.5mg but for me the suppression isn’t there and the food noise is real but I’m determined at the moment.

bananamachinewater · 16/06/2026 21:13

I’m weighing once a week. I do my jag on a Tuesday evening (just had the third one) but weigh on Tuesday morning.

bananamachinewater · 16/06/2026 21:14

Is everyone planning to get syringes to use the 5th dose up?

dinosaursroar1 · 16/06/2026 21:23

I’ve been weighing myself every morning so far, but I am only 10 days in so still very over excited about how well it’s been working so far.

Hi how often are you all weighing? Thanks

I like to weigh daily and log it into Happy Scales to see the overall trend

NatWestPigFamily · 16/06/2026 22:02

I’ve only just started Sunday, but out of habit I have weighed everyday since. I was thinking to only weigh when I jab.

Blythwind · 16/06/2026 22:47

First week done.
14.3 to 13.12 so happy with that.

Ive done my second jab on day 6

Sleepeazie · 17/06/2026 08:47

2nd weigh/3rd jab in and 1.2 pounds off this week, 7.1 pounds off in the first 2 weeks in total.

I’m very happy as it feels like normal/sustainable weight loss that I used to get in my 20s ‘just’ by counting calories 😂 .

Feeling very hopeful this is the start of something.

I did my Bolt review and they recommended 5mg for my 2nd pen, so I’ll be following that.

Hope everybody else weighing in the next couple of days, gets good results too.

Aftertheharvest · 17/06/2026 09:13

3lbs off for me in week 2 that’s half a stone in two weeks and my goal was to lose two stone so hopefully I can keep up momentum.

MissFizzyPop · 17/06/2026 09:44

Hey all - I'm joining as I've started mounjaro after a 4 month break - started on 2.5mg last week. So far, I'm feeling more suppression on 2.5mg than I did the first time which I hope is a good sign. I previously went up to 10mg but of course it would be a financial benefit to be able to stay on a lower dose.
I was a 'slow' loser before, having lost 40lb over roughly 8 months so I'm expecting the same this time around!

ElviraZoffany · 17/06/2026 13:25

Joining as my pen should be here on Friday. I’m suddenly nervous!

I had hyperemesis during pregnancy and I’m scared of having nausea and vomiting like that again, but something must be done as I’ve put on 3 stone during peri and nothing seems to shift it at all.

As far as I can tell from reading these threads, I need to keep an eye on fibre and protein intake, drink up to 3L of water and remain active to feel as good as possible gut-wise.

I also intend to walk for at least an hour a day and get back to strength training and Pilates style workouts to aid toning/muscle retention.

I don’t know how feasible all this will be if I’m feeling rough!

littleraecloud · 17/06/2026 13:48

Day 2 for me and all good! I had hyperemesis too during all of my pregnancies and just am generally a very nauseous person, however I've had none so far, thank goodness. Praying it stays that way.

I'vgogot a pretty intense banging headache today though and slept SO BADLY. Felt like I'd had 5 espressos before bed!

Happy with my calorie intake yesterday & today though. It's definitely helped me to feel less food noise & hunger. Although I do feel a bit hungry at the right times I've been able to control my snacking. I've been unsuccessful with calorie counting for the past few years trying to shift this weight.

ElviraZoffany · 17/06/2026 14:44

@littleraecloud Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hope the headache eases. Have you had enough water the last few days?

TheLoupGarou · 17/06/2026 14:59

@bananamachinewater i pay to use nutracheck - i think it is a pretty good app and makes it minimum effort to track everything.

I'm going up to 5mg for my next pen - am in two minds as to whether to try a 3.75 dose first, or just go straight to 5.

I try to weigh weekly, so i don't get disheartened by fluctuations, but i have snuck in a mid week weigh in a few times too 🤣 I lost 6lb over the first two weeks but haven't lost anything this week so far (weigh day is sunday) HOWEVER i definitely feel less bloated and my bra strap is a lot looser, so i think something is obviously happening - trying to trust the process.

I haven't been able to get much exercise in other than a couple of walks, so that is something i can step up also. I can't run/jog due to crap joints (arthritis) so walking and swimming are prob my cardio options these days...

pepperaunt · 17/06/2026 17:58

Happy to be joining this thread! I’m 5’4” and weigh 11 stone. Second injection of 2.5 tomorrow. Not much suppression or weight loss so far but I’m hopeful! Only side effect so far a bit of nausea (normal for me) and a weird taste in my mouth. I’m wondering if stressing over DH’s serious illness is counteracting the effect?

LibbyL92 · 17/06/2026 18:11

24 hours after my first jab! Zero feeling of hunger. Slightly tired but otherwise all is good so far!

childfreebychoice · 17/06/2026 20:02

Hi All. Just joining in as I jabbed for the first time on Monday. So far so good - no side effects and I'm definitely getting full more quickly.

Starting weight: 18st 7lb
Current weight: 18st 7lb
Initial target weight: 12st 6lb

Cackleandcluck · 17/06/2026 20:26

I had my 3rd jab and since then have developed the most horrible cough and post nasel drip. I can barely eat or drink for coughing so can’t exercise either. I don’t think I’m ill as have no other symptoms.
I have lost around 8lb so really hoping it clears up soon. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

DaisyDooley · 17/06/2026 21:45

I lost3kg week one and up to yesterday (day 5of week 2) it’s stuck at that 3kg.
I haven’t been sick or had any bowel issues.
I am still getting hungry but not the ravenous feelings i used to get.

What I hve noticed is that no matter what i eat this week im just not enjoying it.
Even my fave fish pie -nothing.
I might bake a cake tomorrow and just have two slices of that!
Is anybody else not enjoying their food?

The food noise has abated somewhat but because I’m bored because
a) I’m not cooking much which was a big pleasure
b) I haven’t got much energy so I’m just sitting on sofa watching tv all afternoon I’m thinking about food more than I would like.

I just hope I loose some next week.

LetitGoDLP · 18/06/2026 06:48

@DaisyDooley my taste buds have definitely changed, mango & tuna for me I just cannot stomach now.

littleraecloud · 18/06/2026 12:16

I'm really enjoying my brain not being consumed by thinking of food 🙌🙌🙌

Is this what being normal is? 🤣

littleraecloud · 18/06/2026 12:19

Thank you @ElviraZoffany no terrible headache today! Def enough water since I've started and therefore lots of wee break trips, lol.

I hope you are as lucky with no nausea side effects. Will you start straight away on Friday when the pen arrives?

Day 3 here. Another awful night of sleep 😴 is this a side effect for anyone else? Just tossing & turning all night...so tired.

Sleepeazie · 18/06/2026 12:40

@littleraecloud i’m sleeping terribly too so you have my sympathies.

it only started happening mid way through the week after my 2nd jab.
