Morning losers, I hope you're all enjoying this glorious long weekend. I'm back on track after my holiday blip. I've lost 3 of the 4lb gain, so am back heading in the right direction.
I'm just back from an early morning dog walk on the beach, before the sun & crowds appear. And get this, I am wearing shorts! The first time in living memory I have exposed my legs in public. My wobbly thighs are a sight of their own, but I've realised I just don't care. I'd much rather have the loose skin than the extra lbs, and am learning to embrace my imperfections rather than be ashamed of them.
We went to our son's yesterday for a bbq, and I sat in an egg chair. 12 months ago, it would probably have collapsed under my weight! So I'm taking that as a NSV. Also my son always gives me a massive bear hug when I leave, and my DIL said I now look tiny next to him (he's a 6'3", solid unit!), which was lovely. It's the little things, isn't it.
@TragicMuse I get every word. It is just so freeing feeling 'normal' and not standing out as the token fat one. The invisibility of normality, I love that! And get you in your bikini, absolutely fabulous 🥰
@canaritini wow look at your legs, they are bloody fantastic x
@PearlsTeapot I hope you're doing ok lovely. We're all here cheering you on and hoping youre home soon 💗 xx
@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne you scales sound like my brain, which can still malfunction and tell me I'm still huge, it's bonkers. Did you get your electrics sorted?
@eibbed999 I'm so happy your are back on track. Huge well done for sticking it out, you're amazing. I hope youre enjoying the peace & quiet x
Have a great bank holiday everybody, whatever you're doing. I can be found lazing in the garden, avoiding the housework 🤣🤣
