New thread 😀 in the nick of time

Ah tell me about it! Maybe when I'm down to a 34 band.....🤞

8books · 09/05/2026 19:48

Well done in the new bra!!

I’m sat here praying my boobs stay the same size!! 😂 Always my best feature by far. Thankfully I think my HRT patches have helped.

bookwormcrazy · 10/05/2026 08:49

A slow one for me this week. Only half a pound between weigh days but it really fluctuated up and down each day in between. And in the 2 days since it’s gone down 2lbs but pretty sure it will go back up before the next official weigh day.

I’m still going to push on with 5mg until I'm not loosing, as although I would go up to 7.5, that’s the highest I want to do and with still 3st to loose I don’t want to go up too soon. I am going to drag this 5mg for as much as possible.

8books · 10/05/2026 11:48

Jab day today. 67.9kg!! 🥳 Normally I’d round it up, but I haven’t seen 67 on the scales for 9 years 😂

SW 81kg (12st 11lbs)
CW 67.9kg (10st 10lbs) BMI 23.5
GW 60kg (9st 6lbs)

I’ll do 7.5mg again today.

HollywoodTease · 10/05/2026 19:55

Another rummage in the floordrobe today has resulted in 2 more black bags of big stuff for the charity shop. All my size 16 pants except for 1 pair from River Island now fit. I've bought some new tops for work (16-18 not 20-22!) and dug out a couple of old jackets that now also fit.

My new "old" wardrobe should do me for a few months now I hope!

I was hungry for the first time in ages this afternoon though. Not sure if it's cos I was so busy sorting clothes that I didn't really eat properly or if it may be time to start thinking about moving up. Let's see what the scales say on Tuesday.....

8books · 10/05/2026 20:42

@HollywoodTease well done on your new old wardrobe 😊

Just saw my reflection and my size 14 knickers look baggy 😂

I feel hungry tonight, despite doing a 7.5mg jab earlier. Wonder if it’s psychological??! I might count clicks and do another 2.5mg tomorrow. Actually I’ll just cook a boiled egg and try to stick to current dose!!

GreenLemonade · 11/05/2026 11:28

Weigh in day for me! 2.6lb lost in 2 weeks, bringing the total to 37lb☺️. I skipped weigh in last week because we had family over for the bank holiday weekend. I spent 5 days eating in restaurants, pubs and at barbecues. There was a lot of wine🫣 I was worried about weight gain but it didn't seem to meaningfully affect my progress so I'm super pleased.

I started refreshing my summer wardrobe and it seems I'm firmly size 12 now which I'm also very happy with.

Fantastic progress, @DontEatTheMushies! Well done increasing muscle mass at the same time as losing fat 👏

I’m on crutches for another month, so the opposite of active sadly. I think I was just bored last night 😂 Not hungry at all today, I’ve eaten Greek yoghurt and a boiled egg, so need to force myself to eat a very late lunch and then dinner!! Definitely don’t need a dose increase today.

FrostyFlo · 12/05/2026 08:19

Love love love when the scales drop down into the next stone bracket . Woohoo !
It's weirdly such a boost .

HollywoodTease · 12/05/2026 10:14

SW. 99.9kg
1st GW. 90kg - reached Jan #11 10% of starting weight lost

Still happy with this progress!

8books · 12/05/2026 14:22

@HollywoodTease that loss is fantastic! Well done 👏

BeWildPearlFish · 12/05/2026 19:50

Its hard to believe we started in January, it only feels like a few weeks ago! This thread is lovely to come to.

What day do you jab, and any reason why?

On Fridays but only because the delivery was on a Thursday and I wanted to do it first thing in the morning so Friday it was .

HollywoodTease · 12/05/2026 20:55

Tuesdays for me.

I do a lot of gigs and festivals, or just general travelling, at the weekends so I'm often away from Friday to Monday so Tuesday seemed like a good compromise!

Wednesdays. I figured I could wfh in the house by myself and manage any symptoms on Thursday and Friday, without wrecking family time over the weekend. It never got that bad thankfully, but I rarely have anything else on on Wednesday evenings so it suits.

Springflowers3 · 12/05/2026 21:03

Sunday evening for me. No particular reason but has worked well for me, feel that I’m starting the working week all refreshed from her weekend and ready to be focused on what I’m eating,

@FrostyFlo it’s such a great feeling of triumph when you see the next weight band begin to flash up.

goldylock · 12/05/2026 21:32

I do zee jabbing on a Thursday, usually around 9pm, after tennis/exercise.

I find the weekend helps then if any nausea and it seems to peak Sat/Sun then, for any weekend cravings.

Ive only recently switched to WG tho and it does feel different to MJ, so will see if I'll continue on that day.

InstantRegret · 12/05/2026 22:37

@goldylockin what way does WG seem different to MJ? I will be making the switch soon too.

BeWildPearlFish · 13/05/2026 05:48

I started on a Saturday and it does seem to work well, peak suppression is Monday -Thursday but still decent enough for over the weekend

8books · 13/05/2026 08:06

I started my MJ journey on a Sunday morning (28th Dec, we’d just got back from visiting family for Christmas). I’d planned to have the Sunday and Monday off work to manage any side effects from it (unnecessary precaution in the end).

I now look forward to doing the jab each Sunday. Bit weird 😂 Mainly because it’s astonishing how quickly the time is flying by!!

8books · 13/05/2026 08:17

Ad hoc weigh in. 19.5 weeks on MJ. Goal actually feels within reach!!

SW 81kg (12st 11lbs) BMI 28
CW 67.3kg (10st 8lbs) BMI 23.3
GW 60kg (9st 6lbs) BMI 20.8

Hope everyone’s having a good week 😊

InstantRegret · 12/05/2026 22:37

@goldylockin what way does WG seem different to MJ? I will be making the switch soon too.

I went up through the doses for MJ (upto 5mg) and had very, very little to no side effects at all on MJ. I had had some appetite suppression in the beginning, which just switched off my interest in food.

I took my first dose of WG 1mg last Thurs (so, due another dose tomo) and I can eat, but get nauseous if I eat "too much" or the wrong thing.

I've now already a list of foods I can't eat/have an aversion to, including oranges and chewing gum. I think these could have produced stomach acid or something as wasn't well after.

Also, now can't eat greasy/oily foods. Seems to upset my stomach.

I can only eat little and often, as the slowing my digestion is defo more apparent using WG vs MJ for me. At least for the moment. Maybe will settle down in time.

I am still eating fine but noticed I drink alot more water (and I'd be very minimal water person). Body is looking for water.

I did weight myself a few days after taking the first dose and was down 2 lbs, which never happened on MJ. Again, could be something that settles.

FrostyFlo · 13/05/2026 10:15

Are people noticing your weight loss and commenting ?
I still have loads ( stones ) to go and whilst my dh says there is definitely less of me I've yet to have any friends say anything even though 1 or 2 know I'm dieting ( haven't told them wli ) and its 39lb to date .
What's being said to you ?

I found that when I wore clothes that fitted me properly that people started commenting. All my friends have made lovely comments. Although I'm a little worried about a friend that says I look so good and then strokes my earlobes 😆

No one at work has mentioned anything but I've lost and gained weight before so they are probably being polite.
