1 calendar month since I started and -7.2kg !! wow!
I’m still averaging 2000kcal so expect this rapid loss to slow down soon, or maybe I am underestimating my activity level

Quick mid week check in.

Jab day for me is Saturday, it'll be my sixth jab. I've stayed on the 2.5 dose for my second pen as it's been working well but food noise is definitely creeping back in.

Upping to 3.75 on Saturday, so a full dose of 2.5 and a further 30 clicks making another 1.25. Hopefully this will help.

Anyhow well done everyone. Lots of positive posts here.

Edited

Oh I am in a similar place to you and similar experience re the food noise. Won’t that make you ‘use up’ your pen faster?

Yes - I'll re order in time though, 5mg pen this time. It should work out to three weeks on my current pen which is 2.5 as I can get my golden dose out of my pen too.

pomegranatepie · 13/05/2026 08:30

Week 5 on 2.5, and although suppression is still high, and I am eating the same way as I have since I started on the whole, the scales aren't moving at all this week. I know it's only day three, but I would have expected some movement. If I don't lose this week I think I will up to either 3.75 or 5 on Sunday. I have ordered an aspirationaly sized dress for my big birthday, and I would really like to wear it!
I should probably stop weighing daily, as it has affected my mood this morning, but I have got into the habit now

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 13/05/2026 08:40

@MyGardenDaisiesim a secret jabbed as it’s literally the only thing people talk about in my friendship group, and it’s not talked about positively. A few of my friends are housewives and have all the time in the world to go the gym. I simply don’t. But as I’ve only 2 stone to lose, I figured I could get away with saying it’s calorie counting.

My partner doesn’t know I’m taking it either, but I spoke too soon about side effects subsiding yesterday. I took jab 3 of the 5mg and I’ve been really ill again during the night. Last time I blamed a curry, but this time I had roast chicken, veg and a few roasted potatoes. No where near my previous portion size. And throughout the night, I brought it all back up. Partner was obviously concerned both for me, and due to us all eating the same (thought it was the chicken), but I’ve just had to say it laid really heavy. I was so much better last week on the 5, so a little taken back that side effects retuned with a avengence. I’ve to take my daughter to the hospital shortly which is 40 miles away, and I can’t currently get out of bed without needing a bucket!

Aww bless you, you should tell your partner though

Hi.
Just looking for a bit of advice. I should be going onto my 6th dose this weekend. But since week 4, I have been left without by my provider. So nearly 2 weeks after loosing well. They keep citing delays & once told me I would have it last weekend but it didn't arrive. Now just unprecedented demand delays.
I'm really upset that 2 weeks off was not planned and feel really disappointed by them.
They are on the cheaper end but have great reviews. Has anyone else had great service and quick by a lower priced company. I'm happy to change. I was due to start 5mg.
Thank you.

Cuva health were really quick, I applied on the Sunday, and it arrived on the Tuesday. Reasonably priced too.
Voy are more expensive, although have a good starter discount, and arrived within a couple of days.

TFICoffeetime · 13/05/2026 13:32

Thank you. I will check Cuva out. X

Im with Bolt who seem OK, although to say I havent had my second pen yet so I may be jumping the gun. I have a £40 off referral code too if anyone switching

FindmypalNas · 13/05/2026 14:00

I ordered a pen at 12:10pm on 8th May with Pillsorted. Approved at 12:26pm. Pen delivered the next day by Royal mail at 10:35am.
I used a discount code from online.

anchoviesanchovies · 13/05/2026 14:06

@StolenPineappleCup I'm really sorry it's making you feel unwell, 21 lbs is amazing so hopefully that's a good start for you when going back to more traditional methods.

Regarding the jabbing in secret, I don't. I've told anyone that's willing to listen that I'm on mounjaro. No-one has said anything negative yet and to be honest, I don't really care if they do. I've desperately struggled with my weight since cancer and chemo put me into early menopause in my late 40s (doesn't sound late I know but my periods were still like clockwork and I'd just given birth 10 months before I started chemo). I was slim through my 20s and 30s and only slightly overweight in my 40s. My oncologist keeps emphasising that the biggest risk (can't remember if it's for women of all ages, people of all ages, post-menopause or what) is obesity so I figure I need to do what I can to get back to a healthy weight.

At the moment I'm getting mine through a private GP but that's really pricey so will look for another supplier next month.

Sweetbutpsycho65 · 13/05/2026 14:12

I dont have an appetite. So wondering if theres any point in me using weight loss jabs. Im not keen on food or eating I do it because I have to. No particular likes.
So theoretically if I work with calorie deficit and up my exercise I should loose weight ?

Is 5mg maybe too high a dose for you?

I ordered monday night at 5pm with pharmacy2u, it was dispatched by 6pm and it arrived last night at 7pm with royal mail. A 7.5mg pen was £175 with a discount code. (I have one if anyone is interested)

MyGardenDaisies · 13/05/2026 15:09

I think most people use it through private GPs online.

I just got my 3rd pen prescribed , and switched the provider again, just keep checking that mounjaro discount website for best reputable place and discount code.

Had great experience with Bolt and Boots so far.

so now I’ve got supply till week 13. I ordered in advance as I am scared of supply issues or price increase.

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 13/05/2026 16:16

@ScreamingDelightI did think this initially, but then it settled down so I’ve already got my next 5 pen. But from looking at MyFitnessPal I can see a pattern in what I eat on jab day, and then how I feel afterwards. So I’m thinking no greasy food on jab day. First time I had curry, last night I had roasted potatoes. I’ve been able to eat both with no problems on other days, so perhaps just bland food only on jab day.

TFICoffeetime · 13/05/2026 16:30

I ordered well in advance too just didn't work out quickly. They quickly changed website and said demand was really high.
Anyway randomly just got an update email to say it's been dispatched.
I may change pharmacy for next order as feel messed about and lied to about timeframes.
But happy will be back on the journey this weekend. Hopefully I've maintained my loss.
Will be moving to 5mg 🤞🤞🤞🤞

MyGardenDaisies · 13/05/2026 17:49

2.5 days on 5mg and I’m actually feeling more hungry than on 2.5?? 😂

Isabelle70 · 13/05/2026 18:18

I am a secret jabber, would only have my Dd to tell and I don’t discuss personal medical matters with my friends, no one that I am close enough to share with. And people do have a lot of opinions on the medication!
I do have the nurse and Dr at my surgery that I can contact as needs be as they are my prescribing clinic.
I am averaging 1,100 calories each day and the hunger is certainly suppressed now. But eating good food.

@TFICoffeetimecan I ask which provider the problems have been with? Just so I can avoid for next time!
And if it helps you switch, so far I've got pens through pharmacy2u and iqdoctor and both were on the cheaper side and had really good service/ quick deliveries

Hi. It's neither of those. I'm not too sure about saying which one, though I will lead them a review on Trust pilot.
I asked for a refund and they have now posted so looks like it's on its way.
They just said unprecedented demand.
I'm glad I went for 5 mg now. But feel I will need to start slower due to the gap. They were brilliant first order, just as I've gone up.
I haven't weighed myself as didn't want to feel worse. Just hoping it's not meant my loss stalled and I gained.
I think good for all to note asking providers what lead time is and if it's guaranteed. They didn't meet their own time stated but then quickly said they are experiencing delays on their website. I felt that should have been a priority for those already using them if that was the case. But on its way now and I'll hopefully be able to continue on.
Good luck with your journey. Those providers sound good from what I've heard. X

Scales are moving again. Note to self- don't freak out when weighing on my period. And I'm in the next stone bracket down now, great boost to see a different number on the scale.

It really is dangerous to do the daily weighing (and I do it myself so I understand the temptation very well!). Last week I was static static static… and then all of a sudden three pounds down!
