@Jins ah looking good for DS. But tell all, is it the fiance or finacee who has past form?

@Thelittlestranger yes it's the creep. if 59 is fine then 62 isn't that bad and then 65 and soon i'll be back where I started

@HeidiLite both have form. Her pattern is for everything to be great until they move in together then she loses interest. He has 3 kids with 3 different women. It was quite an experience and I felt very old but also very thin 🤣

BreezyPeer · 09/05/2026 12:38

Happy Saturday!
Big milestone in this house - my son is 17 🎂 tomorrow and had his first ( and probably last!) House party last night. The house and the teens were unscathed although we are all tired.
Going to pick up parents shortly ready for them to stay over to he here for the birthday boy tomorrow.
It's a busy weekend after a full on couple of work weeks with no end in sight!

HeidiLite · 09/05/2026 16:24

happy weekend! happy birthday @BreezyPeer DS!

warm and sunny here and it's so lovely to wear tiny tops and shorts with no chub rub.

Hi everyone, ooh good luck with decisions @MJalltheway and @Thelittlestranger! Only you know whether the jobs are right for you.
good news for ds @Jinsbut horrible he had to go through that, especially if the person making the allegations is now being investigated. That’s not great.
sorry been mia, a bit of a week or so but hopefully now calming down, I realised yesterday I haven’t jabbed for 2 weeks, been on a 2 day course this week and eaten lots of beige food, I can really tell in the way I feel. Jabbed today and healthy meals planned. Weighed before the conference and I was 10 7 1/2, think that’s my happy weight. Will def have gone up but it’ll be back there soon enough. I’ve definitely been eating more these past few weeks, we’ve been out every weekend.
sorry I haven’t caught up with everyone’s news but hope all ok. Enjoy the shorts and sun @HeidiLite. According to chat gpt my reformer is making a difference to my stomach and waist! I feel so much stronger too.
I moved to Pharmulous, really painless. I’ve given up on Oushk, they’ve been painful and so many more providers are offering better service.
Hope you all have great weekends.

Jins · 10/05/2026 07:34

Happy 17th birthday to young @BreezyPeer. Hope you all have a lovely day.

Go with gut instinct on the jobs @MJalltheway and @Thelittlestranger. It’s rarely wrong.

Bumping up to 6.25mg has put me back in my happy place with little interest in food but able to eat my meals.I may have to sit at 5mg for a while but I can do that using 7.5mg pens which helps with costs.

Big cooking day yesterday as I’m trying to clear the fridge so the two gorgeous aubergines became a moussaka for the freezer and my surplus leeks and parsnips are now blanched, bagged and frozen. Feel very virtuous. DH is out with mates today clogging up our country roads so I’m going to finish the epilation and chill.

MJalltheway · 10/05/2026 08:55

No decision for me to make yet, they're interviewing more people monday so I won't hear until mid-next week at the earliest. I think I already know what to do though.

Going to be a weird week, friend's funeral is coming up on the same day that me & DH are going out for a very long awaited date.
I was trying some summer dresses on in new look yesterday (the few natural fibre ones I could find in a sea of polyester!) and thought there'd be no way I'd need a 12 in new look. But the 14s were massive on me. I have a really great summer dress that I LOVE that is from pre-MJ, so a size 18. I need to figure out if I can alter it down a bit so I can still wear it.
Weight still roughly stable, I'm largely sticking to how I ate while losing, but with larger portions. I've been sticking on 5mg for a few weeks, so will stay with this maybe another month I think before trying to titrate down a smidge more.
DH was out last night so took the kids out for pizza, trying to give DS a bit of respite from revising. Exams start tomorrow!

Zempy · 10/05/2026 09:10

I think I am still maintaining at 5mg but I wish it were a lower dose.

Also, I hate to admit it, but I kind of miss losing. That is probably disordered thinking as I know I would not look good if I lost much more.

I need to be satisfied with the work that goes into maintaining.

Jins · 10/05/2026 09:27

@Zempy I miss losing. There was structure and intention and I’m good at it. Unfortunately I’m rather better at regaining so I’m going to be dealing with it for life. One of the reasons why I’m staying on MJ as I just can’t be bothered with food issues any more

DGmaintaining · 10/05/2026 11:12

Morning all, weigh in today at 59.1kg and this is end of my period weight so is the lowest I’ll be all month. Think I’ll jab at 24 clicks today, rather than 22 - which is back up to 2mg. I don’t mind if I stay this weight, but 2mg seemed to be the lowest where I could maintain without thinking about it too hard. I’ve got a very busy couple of months coming up where I’m travelling and doing long hours and not eating home cooked food, so I need that peace of mind.

I’ve compared my IPhone 12 month weight graph to the Renpho 12 month graph and because of the difference in scale on the y-axis the Renpho one is much more startling with the gain. Just goes to show how the same info can cause panic or reassure, depending how it’s presented.

HeidiLite · 10/05/2026 11:43

ah that's interesting comparison indeed @DGmaintaining

yes I kind of miss losing too, but I think as we have been struggling with weight for so long, it's so ingraned that scale must be going down at all times, otherwise it's no good. Difficult to be happy with scale just staying the same.

Gym done this morning. DS has a basketball match in the afternoon - they lost against the competitors last year, but teams of course change, so hard to predict. Likely to be a very tight game though, which always stresses me out. In a way it's easier to watch DD's games, as her team sucks this year, so I have no expectations 😁
Then cinema with friends, Devil wears Prada

Polkadotdash · 10/05/2026 18:40

I miss losing too - that’s because I haven’t lost anything for 7 months now 😆😆😆😆.
I’m STILL waiting for my 10mg pen to arrive. It’s over a week now since I last jabbed and the effects are very definitely expended. I’m eating like a horse. It’s not good. Been away with work as well so that was a lots of unhealthy beige food and biscuits.
New provider (Envigore) made me do a video consultation before prescribing. It was exactly the same questions that they ask you online about medical conditions etc and that was it. I was hoping to speak to a GP at least so that I could ask why I wasn’t losing anything, but it was just an admin person. I feel like all these companies offer you ‘personal’ support but they really don’t have the resources to do it.
Exam week for us here as well. One child is super ready for A Levels. Other child could not give a toss about GCSEs. How do I have such different children?!

That is sooooooo true about the drama of the RENPHO graphs. Every time I see mine and I’ve gained a pound and it looks like the Himalayas I think ‘oh fuck off’

Thelittlestranger · 10/05/2026 18:51

Another big nod of the head re Renpho scales. 1lb gain and it's like a mountain on the graph.

We had friends round last night, and I may have had a few drinks last night - which would be ok, but it means the brakes have come off entirely today. I'm writing it off and getting back on the train tomorrow. That's the best bit about maintenance - you can take the brakes off and stay the same. You can't and expect to lose more.

Enjoy your Sunday evening all

Wtafmakeitstop · 11/05/2026 14:22

Stuck around 59kg, still dosing 7 at the moment. I keep vacillating over whether to try to drop a couple more kg as I’d feel ‘safer’ at 57, or whether to continue dropping the dose and see if weight stays stable for now. I know 2kg isn’t the end of the world and clothes look good, I’m just scared I’ll wake up one morning 5kg higher

Oh guys, what do I do now? I've been offered the job 🤦‍♀️.
the guy is so lovely, I'm really torn now after speaking to him again.

Congratulations @MJalltheway🎉. I’s think about what made you decide to apply in the first place? Think about your why then pros and cons. Either way, well done you, amazing confidence boost!

Make a list. For your eyes only so you can be brutally honest with yourself. 💐

I’ve officially reached single digits to goal weight now!!! It’s only taken me 18 months to get here. Im so happy I could cry (although it’s partly due to the fact that the cost is now all too much so once my latest pen has run out I cannot afford to order any more). I’m a comfortable size 12 ( never thought I’d be able to say that!) and I’m absolutely sure that this is now the size for me and I would look ridiculous if I got any smaller. Once I’ve taken the next two shots of this pen I’m going to do my best to maintain my good habits and make sure I continue the strength training I’ve rekindled my love for. Thank you all you lovely ladies for being the support I didn’t know I needed in my back pocket

Wtafmakeitstop · 11/05/2026 18:36

Congratulations @MJalltheway 🎉
Pros and cons lists, but also I’m a big fan of the ‘Eyes light up factor’. However much logic you put in you need to include how the prospect of taking it (or not taking it) would make you feel. Hopefully you have a bit of time to step back and have a think?

Well done! I know there’s been a lot of other stuff going on too which always makes any self-care harder. Strength training for the win!

Brilliant news. So so pleased for you!! 🎉stick around here, love hearing how you’re doing. Well done on the strength training too!

HeidiLite · 11/05/2026 19:47

@MJalltheway I had a position some time ago that got me all excited, but I was also a bit hmmm about some elements. So when they called and said I came second, I was not sad - so clearly was not a job for me.
If they would call again and said that sorry, change of plans, we can't recruit for this position anyway - would you be sad or kind of relieved?

@RockyisMYRhino this is amazing! You must be so happy indeed. And there's plenty of support here for maintenance.

@Wtafmakeitstop same, twinnie! 59 kilos but want to be 57 for the buffer. And I secretly enjoyed being just a tiiiiiny bit too slim. I know, I know, but just once in my life..

Congratulations to @MJalltheway and @RockyisMYRhino for their achievements. So pleased to hear the news.

I had a lovely day with DS2 yesterday. It would have been my mother’s birthday and he finds it important to visit her grave to tidy it up. So it has become our thing. We head off with brushes and sponges and a spray bottle of wet and forget and make it look cared for. Two years ago we found my great grandparents so we’ve been gradually tidying that up as well. It was just the opportunity for a mother/son chat and he really opened up about how he’s been feeling. We extended the trip with a lunch out and came home feeling quite buoyant. Not what you’d expect after a trip to a graveyard but I’ll take it.

Four days post jab and I’m loving the suppression. Tempted to do the same again to see me through my holiday. I’d love to titrate right down but there’s a big part of me that thinks that if I’m forking out all this money I want to be able to feel the benefit so I’m going to aim at 5mg for maintenance for a while at least.

Polkadotdash · 12/05/2026 08:15

@Jins that’s so lovely to hear. ❤️
