I have been off since Nov due to health issue - put on 10kg in 4 months - eating drinking like a maniac and not moving - need to restart. Do I need to work up the doses each month again or can I short circuit? Eg 2.5 for 2 weeks? If there is already a thread where all this info already please let me know

Morning. Well this is my 2nd week on 20 clicks from a 10mg pen, and I think maybe it is building up in my system more. Had a couple of days when I felt a bit nauseous, last time I really struggled to drink just 2 cups of coffee a day, but strangely not so bad this time, which as a coffee lover, is a defo bonus.
My initial SW was 13st 5lb and I got down to 10st before quitting last time. I’m back down to 10st 2lb now and would like to get to at least 9st 7lb maybe 9st to give me room for summer holidays. I actually think the break did my saggy skin a favour as it gave it a bit of time to catch up 😀

Hi all, I hope you don’t mind me jumping in on your post.
I started Mounjaro in Dec and have lost 35lb, I’ve got 13 jabs left and should be 7lb under my original goal by the time I’ve finished.
Have any of you got any tips for what I should and shouldn’t be doing when I stop.. Any advice welcome, im really nervous about stopping but can’t afford to take it forever.

welcome @Clair45 @Disgusted85 @notcomfortable @Stickykidney @tiatempo

I already restarted back in January 🤣 this thread has moved fast since I first posted last month

Disgusted85 · 26/04/2026 19:28

How's everyone finding restarting?

Took my jab on Thursday and whilst I'm hungry, it's definatley helped with my impulse control.

I work ns and had started eating whilst at work again but managed to avoid that quite comfortably last night.

Imaginedragons84 · 26/04/2026 20:54

I'm into my 2nd week of restarting. I lost 2lb in the first week. I have less food noise but not as much suppression as first time round so feel I've had to use a bit more willpower around food - because I want to lose the weight and don't want the money I've spent on the jabs to be wasted! I took my 2nd jab on day 6 rather than 7 and will probably do the same this week (based on how it's been so far) I've just ordered my next pen at 5mg. Hopefully once it's fully in my system I can just jab weekly and the food suppression will increase a bit.

Disgusted85 · 28/04/2026 07:51

Does anyone know if medicine marketplace offers maintenance plans for mounjaro? How does maintenance work? Like do they allow you to order every couple months and allow you to take smaller doses?

I started jabbing evey 5 days to start with, but have managed to push it to 6 days now it’s in my system a bit more, aiming for 7 days next week if I can

Really glad it’s starting to work for you. I was away for the weekend and I definitely ate and drank less, it was much easier to control again 😋

How did you find a provider after a break? I came off last May with Medexpress. I’ve been slowly putting on weight and am in the lower end of the overweight BMI

My BMI was 29, so over the 27 threshold as I have high BP. I'm just wondering if I should be with a provider that offers some sort of maintenance plan as I think going forward, I'll need it. I got mine from medicine market place.

I’ve only gone back up to 26, I really wish I’d switched to a maintenance provider. Managed to keep it all off for six months but have been creeping up since the last nd of Jan. annoyingly got through Christmas no bother!

Cantbesure · 29/04/2026 14:55

@Justwanttocomment I got approved by pharmulous with a BMI of 24 and a gap of 10 months between prescriptions.

update from me I have lost 4lbs in 10 days since taking a 2.5mg jab. Really pleased with how it’s going.

Justwanttocomment · 29/04/2026 18:38

I’ve just been approved on Zava, happy days.

@Cantbesure hoping for similar progress!

NinthBestOption · 29/04/2026 18:55

Voy and med express will prescribe at bmi 26 even for new starters off label.

I think voy sent me a 50% off code but don't think we're supposed to post them. DM if you need it. Med express is fairly cheap anyway but they've a history of accepting people then withdrawing.

HappyKatieA · 29/04/2026 22:08

I’ve gone with Bolt, they accepted no problem, although going through the whole weighing, videos, photos etc was annoying.

HappyKatieA · 29/04/2026 22:10

I’ve just taken my first 5mg jab, having done 4 x 2.5. It’s not coming off as easily this time, although I do have much less to lose. The food noise is vastly reduced, so I’m losing as I’m trying to focus on protein.

I was with Asda and I just went back to them and blagged it a bit, I’ve copied what I wrote to them below, and they agreed a 10mg prescription
. I reduced my mounjaro injections and took a break from weightloss, but have started agin and increased back up to 10mg over the past 2 months by using treatments that I had not used from my previous prescriptions………

Are you exercising? You might have lost fat and gained muscle?

Not really lol. I was away for a couple of days so although I wasn’t really bad, maybe I had more calories than I realised, at least I didn’t gain though

Just checking in 3rd jab today (2.5) and 2 lbs lost overall. Much less then last time but I'm just starting to notice less food noise and feeling fuller so happy with the loss.
Had a dreadful night last night with awful stomach pain I'm thinking I'd overate and ate something that didn't agree with me as had some chickpeas and pulses give me really bad wind and indigestion so the slower digestion was a killer. I was worried it was gallstones (never had them before) but I had more relief lying on my stomach and back, no high heat rate etc so I'm guessing it was just a poor choice of food. Today I've been very mindful of what I've ate and listened to my body.
Something I've not been good at.

I've noticed a few of you mentioned your weight- I'm 17.12 started this time at 18st so a long way to go.

i think it helps me be more accountable if I share my weight and weekly weigh in

HappyKatieA · 06/05/2026 21:05

I’m just about to Jab my 2nd 5ml, I’ve lost about 8lbs, which I’m really pleased with. I haven’t been counting cals, just focussing on protein and fruit / veg.
much less food noise but it’s still there, I can live with that though.
